Title: Priscilla
Description: Offensive or not?

I would like your reasons as well.
I say defensive. Why? Extra scene 3 when she regenerated in a split second her arms and destroyed half of Isley's body. As we all know only defensive types regenerate that fast while offensive types have a hard time regenerating. (example Rigaldo, Duph)
As a Claymore we can't really tell since we didn't see her completely, but the data book could be useful here. (I don't know jap so help me out here if you can)
Reinard-fox - March 23, 2008 11:25 AM (GMT)
Offensive. With the amount of hatred towards Yoma that she possessed it was impossible for her to become defensive.
That regeneration was done thats to a monstrous amount of Yoki she possesses, even Isley back then said that it seemed as if she was hiding a lot of Yoki before wounded and only after he got her she unleashed that.

Ok then why didn't Rigaldo do the same thing when he battled Clare?
Reinard-fox - March 23, 2008 04:55 PM (GMT)
Because Rigald has much less Yoki then Priscilla.

Then technically there is no difference between Offensive and defensive AB's in terms of regeneration? It's bothering my for quite a while.

Most likely it is the case. Regeneration abilities for both types are equal when in awakened form, Rigaldo was able to get back his destroyed arm despite being offensive.

Maybe that is why Priscilla is feared to be stronger than an 'Abyssal One' for she can excel in both 'Offensive' and 'Defensive' categories due to her immense Yoki.
Rigaldo found it annoying to have his arm cut off. Maybe that was his dominant arm so he wanted it back because even for him it takes a while to grow an arm back.

Priscilla had not shown any reasons to be considered defensive when she was claymore and well...
..would you say Isley is defensive because he can grow arrows from his body ? That's like regeneration ?
And are Yoma offensive/defensive ? Most of them shapeshift the same way. Most of them can regenerate. Those are 'normal' things for them, you could say natural. Same for AB who are 100% release.

Priscilla is probably offensive.
Extra scene 3: what Isley said, I think, is she did "regenerate" it like a regular defensive warrior did. rather, the energy oozed out from her body
Thus her personality doesn't seems like defensive to me. when she first met Teresa, she was rather fierce and very straightfoward

I actually think that good old Priss is in the 3rd class - Godlike.
Its like trying to classify Tesesa. She isn't in any, cuz every stat she has is off the charts. How does one classify a monster?
Bluedragon77 - March 27, 2008 05:17 PM (GMT)
Silly Stifler. Use the 'Monster' charts to find out!
Stifler - March 28, 2008 01:25 AM (GMT)
lol You know what I mean when I said that.
Bluedragon77 - March 28, 2008 03:04 AM (GMT)
Yea...I now.
I Kid. I kid because I love, and I love to Kid.
Elcura - March 28, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
It's illegal to love kids Blue. Calling the FBI now.
On-Topic, I would think that it doesn't matter. Priscilla is one of the more annoying/least interesting characters in Claymore, and topics about her make me sad. That's not really an answer, but there you have it.

Offensive, this is probably best proven by analyzing her past brutal history regarding yoma, her method of fighting Teresa (quite direct and straight forward unlike Galatea and Deneve who use strategy and finesse), she's also full of hate.
The one off time when she was actually damaged, the yoki she had inside her body just flushed out of the open wound. It wasn't instant regeneration as such more like power literally flushing out of her and taking on physical solid form.
In regards to offensive ABs being able to restore their bodyparts. It's hinted that even Duph can do it. I vaguely remember Riful stating it takes Duph a stupid amount of time to regenerate a lost limb. I'm sure an Abyssal Being have stats that are off the charts close to or even exceeding Teresa mayhaps. But even so, we don't see Isley instantly regenerating during the fight with Priscilla. This could mean 2 things either or.
1. Isley is Offensive type hence despite the off charts stats, he still takes awhile to restore limbs.
2. Priscilla just has the best of both worlds cos she's on a completely different level compared to Isley, a level that defies classification of Offensive/Defensive and logic.

The second point pretty much convinced me.

The very existence of Priscilla is offensive to me... /sigh
