Description: Feint

| QUOTE (Agatha) |
| “Decoy Team; you are to enter the town, and await Recon Team's signal. After that you will cause a great commotion in order to lure out basic enforcers. You are to beat them down, but do NOT kill them. Let at least one escape to call for back up, this way you will draw out a much larger amount of their armed forces. You are to lead them to your designated position where upon reaching you are to equip the supplied Rabonian armour and continue the fight.” |
| QUOTE (Sisteena) |
"You've guessed correct 41, weapons and different guises will be issued to us shortly. While its more suitable for us to take weapons that won't distinguish us as Claymores, I encourage the plan of using blessed weapons with the insignia of Rabona to mark us as Igros' sworn enemies. I do not mind the suggestion of using different weapon if however you feel that other weapons would be more suitable for combat."
"As soon as we're done here we will move out and prepare ourselves in the new guises. Remember that we're acting as travelling envoys of the Rabona church, armed knights of Rabona carrying with us a fair maiden who we'll identify as a witch and a heretic. That will be my ploy and if the word gets around from the Handler's inside man within the city that we, the knights are carrying one of Igros's citizen off to Rabona for the witch burning, they will send men at arms to detain us or slay us." |
I'd like some clarification.
We are going into Fara Clergy in Rabonian gear, with the 'witch'? Then coming back out? Or are we going in as Claymore, then switching to Rabonian gear later?
Cause the orders look different.
__________
Also,
Medieval Weapons Anime/Manga Claymore seems be thicker then normal/Scottish Claymore...
We are able to use a 2-handed battle axe with 1-Hand as a Claymore?
Elcura - March 4, 2008 08:14 AM (GMT)
You go into the town disguised and come out disguised.
Claymores are modified versions of the real weapon (increased durability and power). I'd imagine that there are actual Claymores around. And I would assume so, but using a 2-handed battle axe is basically killing a person.
Zangi - March 4, 2008 08:27 AM (GMT)
I was thinking of taking off arms and legs.... maiming and crippling. Its not against the rules if they don't die. We let them get dragged off the battlefield... and so more reinforcements are likely to come that way.
Or... it won't work that way? Hmm... they can bleed to death...
What about a mace... same idea, breaking bones, no bleeding...
Elcura - March 4, 2008 08:41 AM (GMT)
Jesus! Ultimately it's up to you, I shouldn't be interfering anyway but death of a human, even delayed as a result of your actions means you're up for the firing squad.
With that, you should be easily able to assume which weapon is better.
Zangi - March 4, 2008 09:09 AM (GMT)
Cripples 'r' us it is.
If you want to be anally technical, the human(s) after being crippled, could commit suicide... or are abandoned like a war veteran and left to fend for themselves and die... and all that.
Just trying to look at what the limitations are before I get my character executed...
Elcura - March 4, 2008 09:11 AM (GMT)
suicide is a choice, a choice that may have been heavily affected by a claymores action but a choice all the same.
bleeding to death cause of an injury isn't really a choice >.>
Zangi - March 5, 2008 04:34 AM (GMT)
Seems things are not actually on the same page... >.> when it comes to the Duma training mission and here... Ah well. Some wierd time paradox I suppose...
Rabbit - March 5, 2008 12:28 PM (GMT)
I've always interpreted the unbreakable rule as preventing you from causing, directly or indirectly, the death of humans. It's true that you could dismember them in all sorts of ways but then you would be responsible if the bled out their last. Honestly I would just strike to stun or pretend to be fighting seriously until they call for reinforcements and then start running, if I was in charge of the plan. The flat of a blade makes a pretty good club when you think about it, or you can strike with the pommel.
Reinard-fox - March 5, 2008 01:02 PM (GMT)
I think we can pierce their legs accurately and cut clavicles as well, extremely carefully though. This wounds wouldn't probably end up as fatal ones, but will surely prevent them from returning to the battlefield. Other then that I agree with Rabbit.
Reinard-fox - March 8, 2008 10:35 AM (GMT)
Ayle is the last one to attack, you have the lowest chance of getting injured.
Mara's is high, mine too. I put Lina as second one coz her specialty is attacking small openings and her attack should be the one hardest to dodge. If it is so Sisteena will have the hardest time dodging Lina's attack thus Ayla gets a good easy to attack opening. 50% release is still required though.
Zangi - March 10, 2008 06:09 PM (GMT)
Ok, I'm a little confused, did Sisteena block my attack with Lina's Claymore? Or the awakened arm?
| QUOTE |
| Instead there was yet another loud clash of steel ringing at Ayla's ears much like the sound Sisteena's claymore had made upon contact with Mara's own earlier. The tight grip on Lina's claymore began to feel the recoil travelling from the blade and into her arms. |
Cause I think Lina's Claymore was thrown elsewhere...
| QUOTE |
| lest she dared to pass Sisteena to try and pluck her sword out from the boulder it had imbedded it's lengthy blade into. |
At this point, I'll assume that Sisteena blocked with her arm... O.o
Reinard-fox - March 10, 2008 06:31 PM (GMT)
*Reinard-fox thinks so too.
Riful - March 11, 2008 03:24 AM (GMT)
Basicly I disarmed Lina and her sword got stuck deep into a boulder like King Arthur's Excalibur, noticed two yoki approaching at high speed and decided to parry by having the arm awaken, grabbed Ayla and threw her to the direction where I sensed Mara coming from before she got within striking range.
Elcura - March 13, 2008 02:45 PM (GMT)
quick note to everyone: the rain has stopped by now. If you're post mention something about rain from here afterwards be sure to fix it.
Reinard-fox - March 13, 2008 03:01 PM (GMT)
OK, thanks. Fixed it.
Is mist likely to appear?
Elcura - March 13, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)
Realistically, probably not but then again this isn't a hugely realistic setting.
So probably. But I will let you know much like the rain stopping if mist appears, it will also be in the GMs posts etc.
Reinard-fox - March 13, 2008 04:27 PM (GMT)
Zangi - March 13, 2008 04:45 PM (GMT)
Ah, was going by this:
| QUOTE (Riful) |
| Rain thickened and the clouds began to look even less merciful than they had been before. She expected the time for their arrival was in her best of interest... |
Guess it'll clear up soon then. :P
Elcura - March 14, 2008 01:52 AM (GMT)
Rabbit, the rain has nearly stopped it isn't getting heavier, unless you're in some weird pocket dimension.
Zangi - March 14, 2008 03:15 AM (GMT)
I think its a follow the leader domino effect... :P
Rabbit - March 18, 2008 11:15 AM (GMT)
Sorry I've been away for awhile and didn't see that. Anyway, fixed now.
Zangi - March 20, 2008 04:55 PM (GMT)
Thats not a lot to work with, but lets see if I can recap after all this time.
We head over to some 'camp' with all the gear and refit ourselves.
Lina will be a 'prisoner'. Rest of us, Rabona knights...
The rest... I'm not to clear on.
It may seem to be most effective for Lina to slip in and hang around the gate area. Rabona knights come in, at first, cloaked and grab Lina. Spouting Rabona stuff and making a show, where we show we are Rabonian knights in the process. We thwack anyone who tries to help or gets in the way. And 'subdue' Lina. And try to drag her out.
By then, guards/soldiers should be coming... with people complaining and being pissed off... Shouldn't so easily blow Lina's cover, so have one of us 'drag' her out of view while the other two grab more attention and cover their retreat.
Lina should change garb, so the two can rejoin the others... so the humans would believe we've taken her to some unknown location while the rest of the 'Rabonian knights' fight off the humans...
Thats unless the nature of our mission has changed.... ?
Reinard-fox - March 20, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
OK, lets do it this way. Do not forget to shout something about Rabonian religion, justice, heretics and stuff. Cursing our enemies and their beliefs will do to.
Elcura - March 24, 2008 03:28 PM (GMT)
Still waiting for Zangi to post, if he doesn't in around 10 hours I'll move on.
Reinard-fox - March 24, 2008 03:30 PM (GMT)
You'll assume that Ayla runs along with Mara?
Zangi - March 24, 2008 06:37 PM (GMT)
Sorry about that, been a bit busy... I'll see if I can make a post....
And probably should fix my forum time... so I don't have to post to tell the time... >.>
Rabbit - March 26, 2008 01:56 AM (GMT)
Would it be possible to get some idea of the surroundings and formation of the guards? I'm having a bit of difficulty picturing it in my head at the moment.
Elcura - March 26, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
basically it goes like this (crude diagram incoming)
---\~~~~~~~~~/---
----|~~~~~~~~|----
----|~~Captain~|----
----|~~~~~~~~|----
Sword~~~~~~Sword
Spear~~~~~Spear
v~~~~~~~~v
^
Lina
Mara~~~~Ayla
Sisteena
Arrows point to what direction you're heading in at the time of the post (and the guards) and the |--- thing is basically the eastern gate entrance. (Ignore the tildes, they're there for spacing only).
Elcura - April 2, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
Waiting for Rabbit and Rei to post.
Reinard-fox - April 2, 2008 07:37 PM (GMT)
Won't be waiting for Zangi?
Elcura - April 2, 2008 08:39 PM (GMT)
Reinard-fox - April 5, 2008 04:31 PM (GMT)
Rabbit, I need to talk to you. IRC is the best place, so spare me some time there tomorrow please.
Reinard-fox - April 23, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
El, is Partisan unconscious or just surprised?
Elcura - April 23, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)
Reinard-fox - April 23, 2008 08:41 PM (GMT)
'Kay. I'll kick him around a bit then. :D
Zangi - April 27, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
Ok, so I finally finished reading the new stuff. >.> So basically, the battle just finished?
Reinard-fox - April 28, 2008 05:44 AM (GMT)
^ Yeah, the battle just finished: Ayla and Sisteena are approaching captain and his other guards, who defend the gate.
WB :)
Zangi - April 30, 2008 08:42 AM (GMT)
Hmm I'll try to have something by tomorrow then... Wow, am I inactive.
Reinard-fox - April 30, 2008 09:13 AM (GMT)
Good :) Don't be too hasty killing people though. Captain should be left untouched so that he'll be able to run and beg his uncle or whoever for help.
For further tactical discussion IRC welcomes you for obvious reasons ;P
