Title: Some Arts and Crafts
Description: Quality not guaranteeed -_-;

So in my spare time, I paint miniatures and thought I might share some of my work. I can't draw like some of our more talented members so I have to be content with colouring in the blank spaces. It's a lot of fun but also a lot of work and I'm still trying to refine my craft.

So this is what pewter looks like before its been painted. The wings are actually pretty heavy and I spent most of yesterday gluing them together. The green stuff is epoxy putty that is used to fill in gaps in the model where the joints didn't fit properly together and can also be used to strengthen the bond between bits. It will look better with a few coats.

Cool! Nice job!

Can't wait to see the finished dragon!

Here's some more stuff I'm working on at the moment. I should really put this down and get to posting here, shouldn't I?

First, a recreation of Chaplain Lemartes, of the Blood Angels.

It's based on the original model:

Though this one has the advantage of being in plastic rather than metal, and thus, easier to put together and less likely to fall apart. It's still a WIP but I just wanted to have something to show our fine community that I too can do "art"

:P

Back to the realm of giant monsters:

This fellow is called a Nephilim, an unholy combination of elf and dragon with its own spark of self-will (most dragonspawned creations from this universe are soulless). Apologies for the blurry pic but it's the best I could take.

Anyone recognise this guy?

Yes, I've been doing a bit of work on the paintjob and it's starting to look half-respectable on top of that! There's still a lot of work to be done, though.

That looks awesome! Can you please try to get a clearer picture? I want to see this guy in his full 'colored by Rabbit' Glory!!

That Dragon Elf thing is sick! Now that is one badass mofo!

Can't wait to see the finished results! Keep up the good work! Just don't forget to post here from time to time.

Another piece I recently finished. This one I'm truly proud of...only an entire army of similar models to go!

No updates this time, sorry...

But I just had to say...

I think my eyes started bleeding pure happiness when I saw this. The model comes out in August and it WILL be mine. She WILL be my BRIDE!!! Maybe one day I'll even be able to paint that well, who knows? Anyway, coming up in the next post, a fey knight in shining armour.

Huh...haven't posted anything new in awhile. I gave up on trying to do the Green Knight actually, but I've recently begun painting more blighted dragonspawn. The results:
