Shouldnt a coaches meeting have been held at the meet to discuss this if it was known in advance? Our team has scheduled fundraisers around the league meets. We are not sure if our part of fast forward will be able to attend because of these fundraisers that are planned.

As I'm sure you are aware, the April league meet is scheduled over a Virginia League Meet. Are we going to be moving that one too?

There wasn't a meeting, but I know I read an email send to every coach... where everyone could vote on this issue, I think as long as we can all vote, and e-mail's are sent in a timely manner then no harm done to anyone, I believe as long as we can have a meet to help the league stay alive then is all good.
at least this is my opinion.
I thought I was the last one to respond to this issue as I only got the aproval from the rink owner this tuesday!

I’m sorry for the inconvenience and understand about the fundraisers.
The possibilities for March were limited and I had no negative responses from the coaches about the suggested move to the March 4th date.

The April meet will stand as scheduled. April 22nd

For a coaches meeting??? I didn’t think we needed one?
No one voiced the need for a coaches meeting, and the date problem wasn’t brought to my attention till well after mid meet. By then, I needed time to confirm, and look for a solution. The coaches meeting would have amounted to
“We think there is a problem if so, we are going to need to look at our options, I'll get back to you”

What I did was... I confirmed the overlap, I sent a post out to all the coaches by Monday notifying them of the problem, then another asking for their approval on the suggested date. We did not officially confirm the date change till Thursday when I again sent out Emails. The sanction application was faxed on Friday morning. That seems like a pretty good time line for a solution.

I thought I read somewhere that a professional photographer was going to be at the last meet. Has that been rescheduled for the Hackettstown meet?

We had a pro photographer who was interested...

However, he came in to the rink, checked out the speed of the skaters and the lighting situation, and he decided he could not do what he wanted to do.
He backed out...

If anyone knows a photographer, they are welcome to have them contact me.

I know one. It's actually a parent of a daughter that skates, Becky. I know that Hackettstown is definately out because they will be in California that week. I'll talk to her and see if Fantasy or Mays Landing would work.

I kinda agree with Holly.
It's all about the lighting inside a rink.. This will tell you if your going to get good pictures or not. And how to use your camera correctly. I got this new camera and got some good photo's from Roanoke and got some bad ones too. I took over 300 some photo's and until you take out the bad, I came up with little over 200. I have still some learning to do yet.
I found that out last weekend at Roanoke.

Well since every one that is at the meet will know this within the first half of the meet I guess I will just put this out there so Keith and Justin don't have to tell Ross. Sunday will be my 14 birthday. You all get to see Jeff abuse his skaters lol :lol:. No we all know he doesn't really, but he is really bad at counting and i will get hit about 50 times instead of my 14. :(
