I know, I am excited that the Gang won all of them. I'm just sad that Depp didn't win, since he was good in POTC.

I also loved how Billy Crystal handled the show (But that is just me)

I was so proud tonight to be a kiwi. Kind of dissapointed that Keisha Castle-Hughes and Johnny Deep didn't work. But I knew Keisha wouldn't win. Who can compete with Charlize Theron?

I also loved how Billy Crystal hosted the show.

I was happy Sean Penn got an oscar. He rocks.

I thought it was definately time that PJ won and that a LotR movie won...especially since RotK is my favourite..so I was soooo happy. And I was happy and proud that the Canadian film won for foreign language film. All in all, a great Oscars. I loved Billy Crystal's opening montage. ^_^

I was torn between supporting Sean Penn and Johnny Depp for the best actor category because both of them did a *fabulous* job! I was weeping during 'Mystic River' and laughing so hard at Captain Jack Sparrow, which has got to be the most interesting character in the past year at the movies!

I was actually kind of expecting Johnny Depp to win because of the Actors' Guild Award where he won best actor, a surprise! I thought that Sean Penn *might* get it because he was in an Oscar-sure-in movie, the stuff they would vote for!


The beginning of the Oscars was extremely amusing! There's a 'live' telecast here in... 5 more minutes and I'm going to be watching it again, seeing that I missed 2.5 hours of it after the countdown has ended and the ceremony started.


I think I just bombed my cellphone bill with all the text messages I sent to one of our EWAC-er (more than 20, or 50... I don't know...) during the entire ceremony.
"Jude Law and Dom just walked by behind the interview going on!!"
"Oh my god, JOHNNY!!! JOHNNY!!! JOHNNEHHH!!"
"OH MY GOD! WOW! OHMYGOD!!!" (after LotR won all 11 awards it was nominated for)

anyway...

I went to this Oscar Marathon last night. where they broadcasted the oscars live in the movietheather and I won tickets to it!...

BUT....... I live in Belgium... which means the AAA ceremony started at 2 AM and lasted till 6AM!! and the whole marathon started at 10 PM (yes, the day before) and we got to see Monster in European premier and of coure the red carpet.

So here I am at work... a day later with absolutley NO sleep, amost literally falling a sleep at my desk! but feeling so fulfilled! LOL!!!

almost 4 hours of non stop Elijah!

I'm very glad Charlize won! the performance she did in monster! in france they would say: Chapeau!

Sean Penn prolly was the rightful winner!
but I'm a bit sad Johhny didn't win!
come on... we love him too right!

Julia Roberts...her dress was really nice.

My favorite was Jennifer Garner's dress. It was simple and yet it made her even more of a goddess like woman

You know who's dress I really liked? She had a strange name, but she's from House of Sand and Fog, the one in the red dress. It was gorgeous.

And Naomi Watts's dress was stunning too.

Yes! Definately Jennifer Garner's. Lovely colour. And Nicole Kidman...that was a gorgeous dress too.

Did not like Uma Thurman's...what was she thinking?? :blink:

I thought she was emulating Tom Cruise's character in Last Samari with her own style of the komono dress. That's what I thought.

Did anyone else see when Keisha Castle-Hughes meet Johnny Depp. That was so funny and cool. She was totally spechless, so would I!!! She came back home to New Zealand this morning and she told The Edge radio station that he gave her a tape. Saying just stuff like "Hey Keisha it's johnny" and I was like OMG I want a tape!!!

Most of the LOTR oscar winners came home yesterday.
