But you see... we have this carnaval at my state ... not as crazy as New Orleans ... but so so ... and my parents never let me go there ... so if i was thinking about going to the Mardi Gras... without money ... and without permission .. ok ... that's kind of difficult!! but i really wanted to go!

Nice my big old rearend! They are predicting rain for Monday night. Of all the rotten luck. It's bad enough that I don't normally wear a dress of any kind much less a gown... now I'm gonna get the darn thing all wet. But some hobbit spotting will be well worth a soaking wet gown. On second thought...... maybe I should have bought a white gown instead. :noangel:

Now if only I had a laptop to take with me, but I'm not lugging this full-sized monster on vacation with me for three days. Oh well, won't get to New Orleans in time to see the Bacchus parade, but will get to see Orpheus up close and personal at the Ball, so that makes up for it.

sigh. I have been denied Dom. My friends and I can only stay in New Orleans for Elijah's parade, then we have to drive back. <_< So, no Dom for me, but at least there's still Lij. :yes:

Then you can report back on the Bacchus parade for us since we won't be getting to New Orleans in time for it. And I'll bring back all the dirt on Orpheus. Sound like a fair trade?

Sounds good! I'm back and I've posted my Bacchus experience under the Headlines and Small Notes section. Pictures will be soon to follow. I'm trying the mission impossible of getting back to N.O. for Dom's parade right now, but there are tornado warnings, so I don't know if I'll make it. :(
