I'm soooo excited to see this movie! It comes out in March here. Elijah has a smaller part in it, but I also like the other actors (Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo, Kirsten Dunst, Tom Wilkinson). You can find the trailer online - there is a teaser trailer and a theatrical trailer online. There is an official website, but it doesn't give you any information about the movie, it's kind of a hoax about this company in the movie. It's www.lacunainc.com

It's a 'Focus Film" - so if you look on their website you can find more info I think. Anyway...the movie looks fantastic!!!

It's the only movie with Elijah in it that my brother will agree to watch (Beside LOTR). And that's because Jim Carrey is in it.
We're both big Jim Carrey fans.

Yeah, I think it comes out in limited release on March 19th..hopefully not too long after that for wide release (considering that I don't live in Toronto or Mississauga!!!)

The thing is that this is so unpredictable, sometimes ( like Lotr) it's just a few weeks, sometimes, especially with less popular movies or really really popular oscar nomenees, it takes months...

Last year one of the nomenees didn't come out earlier then the August after...

personally...without even seeing the movie yet, i think this will be elijah's first REAL gem of a film. LTOR was great and all...but the makers of Being John Malkovich are GENIOUS! :yay:

i think i'm going to want to live in the theatre after seeing this one... :laugh: :yes:

Damn it I want to see this! And I would have seen it on Friday except I was busy all weekend with my university's annual open house - which was fun, but now I feel behind in schoolwork and behind in my Elijah movie watching!!

I saw it Friday night and it was so so fabulous...

I left the theatre in a daze, my mind going a million miles an hour because it stimulated it so much. And I have to admit, Lij's part is small, but he is brilliant (as usual)

And I love him in this not so *innocent* of a role, he really is appealing in a role that makes him less of the sweet pure kind of lad!

I want to go see it once more, because there is so much hidden symbolism that I know I will find so many things I missed the first time!

Damn it! I really want to see this movie and no one wants to or is able to go with me. It's basically my last chance to see it until exams are over...so I think I'm going to go see it by myself tonight. Time to be independent I say!!!

Just got back from seeing it! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!! I want this movie...I want to watch it again...Elijah is great..everyone is great...one of Jim Carrey's best performances yet I would say. I LOVE this movie. :laugh:

This is an absolutely stunning movie, even though my main purpose in watching it was for Elijah ;)

To cut my analysis short, this story is simply moving with the ultimate goal of telling all that love would find us all no matter what. It is not something you can forget, and it makes up what we are.

ESOTSM didn't came out here (=Holland) till yesterday unfortunately. But anyway, I went to see it rightaway and I loved it! Sooo brilliant, it really leaves you with something to think about afterwards. The acting was very good, the characters as well, the storyline... yeah, definitely a must-see!!

Don't you agree that it's plain horrible the movie came out just yesterday.
I mean helloooo, we are way behind again.

Ok, my view on this.
Ahem
It's a brilliant film, but don't go to see it because Elijah in it he's only in it for a small part of the film, because his character was serverly underdeveloped. I'm mean with a couple more senes his charcter could be on to throw popcron at but grr it wasn't. Though he does have a very funny sense. If you haven't seen it, just remember the film plays around with the time, otherwise it is very easy to get confused. The whole concept behind the film is amazing and the twist, yes there is a twist is just wow. It is really thought prevoking and well made considering the budget. Jim Carerry show us he can act in it. As does Kate winslet, but she is generaly great anyway. Elijah does do well with the little he has but it is a little and there wasn't a lot he could do with it. Kirsten Dunst I think has the best part, you'll see why, when you seen the film. I really enjoyed it, and would higly recogmend it. If you haven't seen it. As it a truely original idea for a film, unlike the constant waves of remakes, sequels and idea's nicked of other films, which has been plaguing the cinema lately.

Le sigh. There hasn't been a really good film out for ages. Pouts. But I digress this film is high on the list, though not the best Elijah film I've seen.
