Title: To All Us Love-sick Ladies...
Description: He doesn't really LIKE us
Ms. Mortensen - February 17, 2004 05:25 AM (GMT)
One of his quotes (borrowed from Laila) :: OMFG! on the title under my topic... instead of saying "He doesn't really like us" it's supposed to say "He doesn't really like us doing that" LMFAO sorry and I dunno how to fix it  ::
On Being Called a Sex Symbol: “First of all I don’t consider myself a sex-symbol, and I think that’s important. The troubles arise if you think of yourself as a symbol. I mean, you couldn’t live with that… In my everyday life it doesn’t mean a thing. But my agent from time to time delivers a bunch of fan-letters, and I read them, and out of 50 letters the 49 are always sweet and very flattering, and I’m happy to read that my movies mean something to people, and that they mean something different to people. But then there’s always one letter which is weird, and where a woman wants to marry me right now, and she has left her husband and family back in Kansas. That’s really very sad and disheartens me. But by far the most of the response is positive and intelligent.”
 That's sad... if any psycho ladies are reading this: DONT DO THAT! It makes him sad... The getting-married-with-him fantasies are supposed to be kept in your head, not TOLD TO HIM! Wouldn't you feel bad/wierd if women/men all over the world left their husbands/wives to be single and wait for you to get married with them? He has the right to fall in love for himself, you know... Reading that quote made me sad and opened my eyes to the psycho world out there. I read a letter to the editor in March 2004's edition of CosmoGIRL about a girl who was in  with a music artist... and the advice was: Realize that you're probably never going to meet or go out with this guy, and you'll eventually forget about him or instead of adoring, admire him. Open your eyes to other guys, and your love will be taken just like THAT.
I was in love with him before... But now I just admire him with great respect. Hope you all do too... (Not trying to preach here)

Hi!
Well, I also posted that quote but I decided to keep it open since you use it as a start to a different discussion.
I actually think it's none of our concern how ppl think to feel about him...
I mean "love" for a star is but an illusion, a variable free space in your heart that is filled with dreams...
And well in a case of a married woman that is kinda dangerous, expecially since it has really in impact on many ppl and well I would doubt the sanity of that person - expecially writing that into a letter and expecting anything else then disgust and repusion.
But well I think celebs especially like Viggo can be a guiding figure... maybe that is what this woman really searched... maybe she is abused in the marriage she has, and all she wants is flee that... and Viggo is the figure who gives her hope...
Show something else then the way of business and conformity...
I think we just shouldn't judge ppl too quickly, really...

I guess that we all have a star to follow you know?
it's not like i'd like to marry Viggo (Taking as a big point that he could be able to be my dad ...) but because the things he does ...
I guess you can love him, but not in the real love thing ... just like a meter of what you want ... like i want a boyfriend that maybe he woulnd't look like him, but he likes poetry, or music ... you get the idea ... ??? but to be his fan doesn't mean to be in love with him ..
and yes ... they're girls who just are obssesed with him ... it's sad...
luvly

I wouldn't say it's love...
it's longing for love... It's an illusion...
But they think so...
It's easy to believe that with Viggo, for sure...
But eventually they will snap out of it...
when the stage they are in fades and they step into the next part of life...
Respect remains, longing maybe, but i don't think you can "love" a celebrity forever...
I mean, I can say that I do owe him a lot - maybe not really him, but the image he displays to me... it gave me a lot during the hardest time in my life...
If that's sad... then be it that way...
I think it's a good thing...
One day I will thank him for that...
:bloom: Thanks Vigs!
