*Sigh* My roomate and good friend just this minute left to go to Toronto to catch a plane to London England. I'm soooo excited for her. It is her first time in Europe. Her sister is studying at Herstmonceux Castle for the year, so her family is going to visit. I told her to go see Harrod's and Picadilly Circus etc. (she knows that they are going to the Tower of London). I suggested they drive a bit and check out Stonehenge..but I think they are not going to do that. Yeah..I so wanted to jump into her suitcase. ^_^ Any excuse to get off this continent!!! I love to travel - just don't have the opportunity or expendable cash to do it. So...I am going home for reading week...a whole 2.5 hours away! I am excited to see friends and do some shopping (have to get a dress for a ball) and get birthday presents...but I also really want to go away! My other roomate is going to the Domincan Republic with her boyfriend..but I'd rather go to Europe. Somewhere with a rich history and museums and centuries old buildings, (ie..instead of staying at a resort). ^_^

Another roomate of mine has been everywhere! She went to China and Hong Kong on a highschool trip, has been to the Aztec and Mayan ruins, spent a summer doing research in Israel, went on a cruise to Greece...and has been to quite a few other European locales. Now she is always going to Saskatchewan, as her bf is from there and goes to UofS.

Sorry..just whining here :blush: ...feeling a little...unsophisticated :unsure:

Just felt like getting it off my chest...wishing I had the money to go somewhere interesting. I want to go to Russia, Germany, Luxembourg, Britain, New Zealand, Cambodia, Botswana...and a million other places.

I love Canada, but every other country other than the US is so far away!!

I know how ya feel. I'm in Ireland and have been stuck back in my parents house
after finishin college for the last few months. Wish I had the money to just take of
all over the place for a few years :)

I really wanna visit America, New Zealand, Australia (my sis is there),
Italy (again, been to Florence & Venice, would love to see the rest ),
Germany, Switzerland (also been here b4 in Geneva, would love to see more),
France (been to Paris but wanna visit Marseille and Lyon and few other places),
Been to England a good few times in various parts. Wanna go to Liverpool,
Newcastle, Manchester, London again, Oxford again. Also wanna go to Scotland.
Wanna go to Canada too, have cousins in Toronto. :)

Well that's a few places I wanna go. There's prob more I haven't thought of,
basically wanna travel the world. :D

Yeah...that would be very hard to move back in with your parents. I am hoping to not have to do that!!!! :blink:

I'd loooove to go to Ireland!! Some of my parents friends are going there in May and again, I want to hide in their luggage. :lalala:

Yeah bein back with parents is bit mad, but may be back in Dublin soon :)

I don't actually know where exactly they are going. I'm pretty sure they will be touring around.

My great gramma left Northern Ireland about 100 years ago to come to Canada because her sister was here (I don't know why) and her sister was sick...so my great great gramma sent my great gramma off to take care of her. Guess she decided to stay for some reason - heck if I know!! ^_^ But anyway..I would like to go and see where she was from. Maybe I could find some long lost relatives. ^_^

That sounds cool, be fun to find long lost relatives :)

My great great great grandmother was from Italy and
I'd love to go find out if there are any relatives there still :D

I love travelling! I only have been on Great Britain (Wales, Scotland :tsk:, London, and Irland), Canada, and France (the south part), all the times i've been there with my parents, like a family trip ..

but i wish i could go everywhere!!

I've been in US, but i want to go to NY and Boston, and LA! and i want to NZ, Australia and Germany! The Fiji islands... and Argetnina! (there i go Flower and Sun!!)

BUt ... i'm studying... and i'm not THAT available to go there... i hope i'll be able to do it in the exchange semesters and in summers...

but it's only a hope ..
