Marie looked at them, knowing they were wrong. She shouldn't do this. The past few weeks at the center had taught her to overcome this, or rather, attempt to overcome it. It had been easy talking about it, but the real thing was nothing like what they had talked about. Her hands felt a need to grat at it. It was perfect, exquisitely made, something that she wished her boyfriend would give her if only she had on. In places where the light caught it, the colors made it even harder to resist it. She longed to have it; she needed it. Even if she was dirt poor, she'd find a way to get it.

She looked around, no one had caught her staring. Maybe if she took it, no one would notice. She reconsidered. This could ruin everything for her. The day that she had walked into that center, her determination had been strong. She couldn't just throw that all away. This was a chance for a new beginning.

She had already started to back away when with one last glance, she gave in.

"Hi, may I have a sample of the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie please?" Screw Weight Watchers.

*wide eyes frantically*

*blinks*
