Thoughts and ideas about Viggo's Art…

Okay, I feel like talking about him, but not the usual talk. This is going to be some kind of reflection, thoughts, suppositions and words about what I think about this man, I just feel like talking about him and tell what I think… Tell me if ya agree ;)

To start… his name, I never thought such short word could define and keep in it's meaning the idea of such big and wonderful man. Just pronouncing or spelling his name brings to your minds lots of things, concepts, ideas, even you can start to daydream about him, and nor properly the PG rated thoughts we thing about (don't look at me like that, I know you!). When you say Viggo Mortensen you can imagine those mysterious eyes or his features… but something most of the people that know him or have heard of him is that you can define him with just one word: ART.

Art, his love and maybe passion, it is simply undeniable that there's a powerful link between this man and art. It is evident to the eye because whrn you look at him even if it is for the first time in your life; it just trespasses his skin, actually there's something that comes up to my head: I bet he can sweat art. And probably one of the biggest mysteries around and about him is how, why and whe does he gets all the inspiration to make his art.

Most part of us (I'm referring to the people in this forum) as writers, know that getting inspiration is not an easy thing, especially when it comes to create something new and original, and I'm talking about him in those terms, in terms of knowing why, the deepest reason why he makes what he makes, he paints what he paints or he writes what he writes. Of course we all can tell the reasons why we write what we write, but we all know have some hidden reasons too to do it and sometimes you just reveal it without meaning to, are thing so yours that you just can't show, but they show somehow even if we don't notice it, it's what someone would call psychology of art.

I must make clear that art is subjective, everyone can have it's opinion about a piece and I'm pretty sure that the 96% would thing in different ways, in art there's no space for general opinions and in His art, of course there's not. And going back to the main topic, Viggo, I know we all would like to know what's behind that calmed and quiet expression, ad we can be pretty sure that all of him is reflected in his art, it is just a matter of looking and detailing his wonderful work (written, drawn or in photography). So I post this as an invitation for you to take a deepr look in to his art, now not only as fans, but being critics and analyse what lies behind the canvas, photography or poems.

For example in his photography (and I say this with professional criteria because I know about photography) each instant is unique, and each image that you capture is primal, original and only. No one can imitate or compare because behind that image in a paper there's an idea and a concept that was born with the one who took it and an inner meaning. And I know that when he exposes his work he can't help feel but flattered about it, because no matter if the main idea doesn't jumps to the eye but if you get a vague one, and redefine it you'll get innumerable ways of interpretation and somehow that's the spirit of the art, saying something you felt at the moment but you can also change the meaning for your own experience.

I just made this as a invitation to make a detailed investigation of his work, for me it was worth it, besides it is even more inspiriting and not because he is a cute and hot man, and behind that nice cover lies someone better, just for you to notice the great man that is behind such great art.

Wait for comment about this short… Composition? Essay? Whatever… Just wanted to talk about my man LOL!!

You know? when i heard his name i swore he was latin! or some other nationality! he has a beautiful name... and his voice? he has a poet voice ... so deep, so clear ... i love his voice ... really!

Then... it's all his person that make me realize how deep he is like a human, and it'd be awesome if i could talk to him (not because he is hot and everything else that comes with that..) it's because he is so interesting! and i'd be amazed by the way he'd talk and think ... he is a man in whom i'd be able to learn so much ..

I guess...

i mean ... it's always nice to talk with someone and learn of that person, and learn how he thinks of the world and how he is able to see the things in a different way ...

i'd like to do that ... i really do, me like a person, like a wannabe writer and a girl who loves reading ...

lol

that's my little penny ... for your thought Adry !!

lol

luvly

I learnt so much from him from just watching the extended DVD's! His poetry is a huge inspiration to me and also his art, so abstract! He is so cool, and the voice just melts me.
