Title: Introducting The Monkey Herself
Description: Yes, I'm as crazy as that sounds

I probably should have done this a week or so ago when I first wandered over here, but I don't say that my middle name is Procrastination for nothing!

Actually, I'm Allyson Michelle Dietrich (and you thought that really was my middle name). I graced the earth as of March 5th, 1978 and the world hasn't been the same since. :lalala: The first 18 years of my life were spent in a small town in West Virginia- and no, that doesn't mean my relatives all married each other and I don't own any shoes. But I could rival Peter Jackson for most time spent barefoot- shoes are too much of a pain. Then for some insane reason after I graduated high school, I decided that packing up and moving 1200 miles away from home to Dallas, Texas was a good idea. 7 years later, I'm still wondering about the sanoty of that decision and yet I'm still here. And despite popular belief, Texas isn't full of cowboys, horses, and oil wells- but the cowboys are worth taking a look at. :yay:

One thing that is true of me is that I am very much a Pisces- we are known for having our heads in the clouds. :angel2: My imagination has always been too large for me and so I make use of it by putting pen to paper- or fingers to keyboard in this case. I've been writing stories for years and it seems every time I set out to start a "short" story it turns into a novel. The current count on my most recent story is up to 450 pages..... and Ursi had a heart attack when she saw that I had posted 150 pages of that on an old site. Little did she know! ;-) Thanks to some good advice from some great friends, I decided to take a stab at posting said novel and have met a lot of other great friends in the process.

Random information:

Height: 4 feet 11 inches. (This will explain two of my nicknames later.)

Weight: Don't you know never to ask a lady her weight.

Interesting features: All told, I sport 9 earrings- six in one ear and three in the other- but never have enough time to put all of those in each morning. I also have five tattoos so far. Three are fairies- all on my back. The largest of those covers almost one third of my back and was one of the most painful experiences of my life- never let anyone near your spine with a bunch of small needles. I also sport a small sun on my hip- frighteningly similar to Orlando's, but I've had mine since I was 20 and he was still an "unknown." And the last one is some blue flames and the Greek letter phi on my left ankle- this one has an interesting story to it, but you have to ask nicely to hear it. Aside from that, I have red hair (dark brown for now because I wanted to be adventurous) and eyes that change color- weird, eh! They go from gray to green to blue depending on my mood.

Nicknames: Pippin; Monkey (or MonkeyAss- thanks to Orlando telling his monkey story on the Jay Leno show for even more teasing about that nickname now); Gnome; Psycho; and Midget. Can you believe that the Midget nickname was started by my recently ex-boyfriend???

Bored yet?!?!?! Okay, I promise to stop. That should give you some small insight to the insanity that I call a mind.

Can't wait to meet more friends on these boards. Come on over to "Through These Eyes" (in The Lads section) and say hello.
