Biography: Jonathan Rhys Meyers was born July 27, 1977, in Dublin, Ireland. He and his family moved to County Cork, Ireland, when the actor was nearly a year old, and then, at the age of 3, his father left the family, leaving his mother to care for Jonny and his 3 younger brothers alone.

Rhys Meyers grew up with a tumultuous childhood, spending some time in an orphanage and being permanently expelled from school at age 16. Happy to be out of school, he began spending time in a local pool hall where he was discovered by Hubbard Casting.

Ok, that is my reaction to Johnathan Rhys-Meyers in August Rush and in the Tudors. Good God he is one hot Irish man! You posted my favorite pic of him from August Rush, it is so cute. :wub: But I like that Tudors Picture even better, I like a man who can handle a sword. :devil:

Aha, I know some smart girl would beat me to the punch on this one! Jonathan Rhys Meyers is one of my favorite acors (I watched August Rush on Tuesday, and loved it).

Speaking of, if you go on the August Rush official site, you go on:

you can get a sample of a scene of the movie and of Jonathan singing. Personally, I love how the scene was made, and I must say he's a good singer!

Thank you for that link! I cannot wait to find the soundtrack for that movie. I must admit my favorite part of the movie was where he first steps out in that suit!! :drool: And at then end of the movie I was like :yahoo lol. I just wish it would have had more of an ending.
