ELIJAH WOOD SUPPORTS JACKSON IN LOTR FEUDElijah Wood, who starred in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, has weighed in on the controversy over New Line Cinema's decision to dump Peter Jackson as the director of the LOTR prequel, The Hobbit. In an interview with Britain's Empire magazine, Wood said that he was dismayed that "it's ultimately a business decision and not at all considering the fans." Wood, who would seemingly be too old now to appear in the prequel, nevertheless observed, "I can't imagine any of the original actors would want to join" a production that was not overseen by Jackson. "How can you imagine a prequel that didn't look the same, and didn't have the same continuity?" he asked.

I agree with him...
Jackson had an unique view of middle earth, offcourse there will always be people that will say the movie version wasn't half as good as the books but I truly think no one could have done a better job making these books come to life.
Therefore I was actually shocked to read that they had dumped him. Truly, truly shocked. Elijah has an immense valid point. There was an unmistakable style to the LOTR movies and I wouldn't even go see it if Peter Jackson wasn't onboard for the prequel.
So there...
I side with Elijah for the full 1000 percent
No kidding, I completely support PJ, Elijah and everyone who is against having PJ do "The Hobbit," It just wouldn't be the same Middle Earth because Peter has already given us Middle Earth and as Ian McKellen said, "New Zealand is Middle Earth," and Christopher Lee even said that PJ is, "the Lord of the Rings,"
I don't see it being successful without PJ. If it will be, then I'll be shocked. Peter deserves to direct this film. He's the Tolkien of film makers.
Just my opinion,
