Title: How to Simplify Your Life...
Description: By Cleaning Out Your Closet...

~Jewelz~ - October 11, 2006 10:47 PM (GMT)
So, here's the deal- I am writing an article by the above title for my Magazine article writing class. And I am hoping, by starting this discussion/debate, to pretty please gather up some opinions other than those of my RL friends (love them as I do, haha). I just think it would be reallly great to get varying opinions on these subjects, and start discussion on all this in the process.

Anyway, I'm rambling, hopefully the questions I've put together so far will get you all discussing *laughs* And please (!) elaborate/branch out all you like! Granted, my article already has a rather Christian slant to it (since I do attend a Christian university after all), but I not only wouldn't mind, but I would love varying opinions.

Also, if I use any terms that make you go "wtf?" because they're so-called "Christian terms" or whatever the pho, please let me know and I'll try to word them a different way.

So, here's an excerpt from a post I made elsewhere in regard to this topic- I think it pretty much applies:

How to Simplify Your Life By Cleaning Out Your Closet (An Amateur’s Guide to Good Stewardship)

Ahem *prepares to grovel* Now, you all know that you're far more knowledgable about these things than I am, so I am asking you to please, please, please allow me to pick your pondering brains for the sake of this article. Granted, I can list a few environmentally/socially "nice" things to do (like turning off lights, using fans, donating clothes), but I am truely rather ingnorat in regard to where to look for better information than one gets in "Flex you power" or whaever they're called comercials. Any suggested reading (as in, articles/websites- unfortunately I won't have time to really read any books as research, though I'm also open to future reading suggestions). And what are your own thoughts on the matter.

Consider me interviewing you:

~Why (or why not) is good stewardship (by which I mean begin environmentally and socially conscious and proactive) important to you, and how do you attempt to be a good steward? (please pardon my novice word usuage, hehe)

~How can cleaning out your closet simplify your life? What sort of things would you clean out of your closet? What would you keep? Why?

~What other tips can you give for acting as a good steward, etc?

Sorry if it's all rather vague, if anything doesn't make sense please let me know and i'll try to fix that, heh. As for now though this will have to do, because I have class again in a few minutes (AGH! It never ends! Heh...)

Thanks all :) Ttfn!
