Title: Love Actually
Description: The sweetest movie of the year

Aurora - December 11, 2003 06:19 PM (GMT)
Why oh why didn't this movie have its own thread yet?

I've seen it twice now and I completely love it. It's so heart-warming and sweet and touching and I can watch it another 20 times, I believe.

What did you girls think of it?

.JuLEs. - December 13, 2003 02:09 AM (GMT)
I saw it twice in the theatres as well! Its so touching.

Which was your favorite relationship? I'd have to say the father-son relationship. It just made my heart swell!

Its the first feel good romantic movie I've seen in awhile that isn't completely corny. I just  it.

Luurv,
Jules

OMG!

That movie rocks!!

When I went to see it I saw it with a friend ... and I just met my ex's new girlfriend so I was kind of heartbroken, so when I start watching it I told my friend that it was a huge possibility that I'd feel awful during the movie ...

But at the end I loved it ! I think that the movie was a nice way to show us the love, but not the kind of relationship you wish and you'd never be able to have, but the kind of love you're able to see everywhere!

My fave was the friend whom was in love with the wife of his bestfriend ... the song part was awesome!!

But I loved the relationship through the languages. .. :P

ANd the one I identify myself with? I guess was the little boy ... in that time I used to have this huge crush in a boy who was leaving to Colorado to study so it was the last time I was able to see him in all my life ... and I was like the boy doubting to tell him that I like him or not ... so my friend was like : Follow the boy's example!! but at the end I wasn't able and he went away...

But the movie left me with such a nice feeling! I felt happy, I felt in love even if I wasn't with someone ... and I felt like really really christmasholic... lol

luv
ANdie!

Haha. Christmasholic, nicely said! Lol.

I know what you mean about the lovey dovey feeling. Who doesn't feel lovey dovey after such a lovey dovey movie?

Ryvyan - December 16, 2003 02:23 PM (GMT)
I finally watched the movie and it didn't let me down! God I love it!

My favourites would be the one where this guy falls in love with his best friend's wife... Sad because he could not betray his best friend, and the only thing to do was to bear with it...

Another favourite was the father-son relationship. I cried totally in the first few part when the man was at the funeral for his deceased wife... Eventually when the boy called him 'Dad', I was like  because he only called him 'Daniel' (correct name?) previously... What I don't really like is the way he seems to have gotten over his dead wife so soon, I'd love that to be extended because it was thoroughly heartwrenching!

God....
that was so  but very heartwrenching at the same time!
I loved that guy!

*sigh* and yes the love between languages was also incredably beautiful!
and Hugh Grant dances soooooooooooooooo funny!!! my mom was like  all the time!

.JuLEs. - December 16, 2003 08:51 PM (GMT)
Haha, my mom too! Whats with moms and their obsessions with Hugh Grant?

I loved the end when the little boy chased his crush and ran back to his dad (or stepdad technically) and hugged him. That was my favorite scene.

Laila - December 16, 2003 10:07 PM (GMT)
Awww...

Ryvyan - December 17, 2003 05:47 PM (GMT)

Aurora - December 18, 2003 11:00 AM (GMT)

Elle<3 - December 18, 2003 06:31 PM (GMT)

Edit: And yes, Keira has a special place in my heart ;) She's amazing. I keep on squealing when I see her, it's insane :D

Lessy - December 25, 2003 08:14 AM (GMT)
I haven't seen it yet!!
It looks great thought....
I hope I see it soon

Ryvyan - December 28, 2003 06:14 PM (GMT)
Kiera has a special place in our hearts because of PotC and the fact that unanimously (I forgot with whom :P ), we feel that she suits Orlando better than you-know-who

:lalala: Just going to shut up, don't ask me or tell who I'm referring to ;)2

MadamButterfly - February 19, 2004 04:31 PM (GMT)
Well, as long as the movie was shown only on February 13th here...I'm repying only now... <_<

Naah, my favorite relationship was the father/son. I didn't even really notice it the first time I saw it but the second time...Guh! It was so sweet.

sxc_stylez - February 20, 2004 03:52 AM (GMT)
I saw it today. That old rock star guy was so damn funny! When he swore at the start I was cacking myself.

Rodrigo Santoro or something like that (the guy who was with the girl with the insane brother) is so hot! He's like a mixure of Orlando Bloom and Vin Diesel. Ugh!

Laila - February 27, 2004 12:09 PM (GMT)
Does anyone know when it will be released on dvd??
I sooo can't wait for that!!!

And I love little Thomas Sangster best *huggles*
Oh and Hugh... and the guy with Kierra.... Liam... aww ALL!!
I want that movie now... actually I am more desperate to have iot then Rotk theatrical edition - way more desperate! :)

hug
Laila

My exact sentiments about him being hot! He was in the Vanity Fair Hollywood issue, in a picture along with Diane Kruger (Helen in 'TROY'). I don't think he resembles Orlando though lol... More like a CK model :D

Anyway, they just released a R(A) [for 21 years old and above <_<] version of it. Apparently, the one I watched, they had a whole sex scene (the whole story or something?) cut out.

God I hate cuts.

trufaith - April 23, 2004 02:21 AM (GMT)
I saw it last night. I was blown away by how good it was. It was funny and sweet. Got to go I'm going to watch it again.

WhiteAndie - May 1, 2004 05:01 PM (GMT)
I decided to buy it.

Lol I rented it twice this week... well once but I watched it twice lol

and I still love it !

I didn't feel all sad because I don't have a boy by my side..

And my favorite couple? it's a mix between Kiera and the wonderful, shy guy and the language problematic couple...

It'd be nice lol

luvly

Gah, Rodrigo Santoro is sooooooooooo hot! *lol*
My friend was like crazy about him when we watched it (luckily her boyfriend wasn't there... ;-) )! Well, me too... :lalala:
And right after finishing the movie we went online and searched for pictures of him... now I have a fine little collection on my harddrive and a collage as my desktop background... ^_^ Did you know that he's from Brazil?
That woman was so... dumb to let THIS man go!!!

But even without him the movie would have been great... my favourites were the father-son story and Jamie and Aurelia with their language problem... they were sooo cute...

hollybaggins - November 17, 2004 05:04 PM (GMT)
I love this movie because it's so British! I love Brit Chick Flicks...except they scare me when I listen to the dialogue and realise I say the exact same things :eeek: haha I was like "we don't ALL talk like THAT do we??" uh huh

I love all the storylines but my favourites were: Juliet & Mark, Sam & Joanna, Billy & Joe, Jamie & Aurelia, Jack &Judy, David & Natalie, and ...Colin! ("I have a cute British accent! Over there I'll be Prince William without the weird family!") what a legend

And Ant and Dec (best TV presenters ever!) where in it which I loved!

One of Billy's ace lines (which I use most times of the day when I've made a mistake): "Bugger, shitface, wanker, bollocks!" hahaha

I did really like it when our Prime Minister (Hugh Grant's character) stood up for Britain (no offence to any American's - I think you guys bloody rock; it's just Bush I can't stand) - I think that scene in the movie was directed straight to Bush and his lap-dog Blair as a hint.

if you havent seen this movie, shame on you! go see it!
