Title: So, I'm spending a semester at Oxford...
Description: and I need traveling tips! :)

Right, as the title notes, I'm going to be spending a semester abroad studying at Oxford (*runs around in circles screaming from excitement* EEEEEE!!! Hehehe...) Which is super awesome.

And on top of that, I get at least a week to travel! Around Europe! Only I've never been to Europe (or out of the States for that matter). Soooo, I was hoping that perhaps those of you who either live in Europe, or have traveled there, might be willing to give me some tips on where I could go and what to do when I get there.

I'm pretty sure I want to go to France at some point, and Ireland, and Scotland, and Italy... but yea- I say these things but really have no idea what I'm talking about *laughs*

Any tips/suggestions? *bats eyelashes* Pretty please?

Hahahaha
Well since I live in Europe...I might have some tips as for places to go. But it is of course very personal and it depends on what you like. Are you more for partying, for nature or for seeing cultural things.

If you want to party you are probably best of at the south coast of Spain. They are most famous for it.

For nature you could try Switzerland which has mountains. Germany for forrests and Finland for lakes and such (this is generally speaking of course). Ireland and Scotland are also known for their beautiful nature.

Culture is obviously to be found in Italy (which is one of my favourite countries....it has a nice mixture of fun, nature and culture...but I am sure most countries have that to some degree), France (not a fan of it...and they don't like Americans very much) and there is of course Vienna (I would skip the rest of the country...I didn't like it there)

There are also east-european countries, they are cheap, unspoiled and not overcrowded with tourists but you would have to put up with (sometimes primitive) circumstances. Of course you are welcome to come visit me in Holland but there is not much to be found here at all. Amsterdam is ugly and the rest of the country to...but you are more then welcome and I would happily show you around.

Hope it helps!

Love
Dana

Hm, you can only mean Oxford, England, right?
Ok well here's a few tips: wrap up warm - I'm not joking! See the sights; the history - apparently, Oxford is one of our most valued places for preserving all thing old. Lastly, have fun in England! :D
