That was the question of the moment. Why. Why? WHY?!!

Katie Sheridan stared down at the person who was lying lifeless in front of her. Everyone in the room became silent when she entered the usually chattering group. She stopped short when everyone turned around and stared at her with mournful eyes as she made her way to the front of the room where she had stayed there for several minutes staring at him. The love of her life who had his eyes closed and hands entwined together that were cold. Landon and her had been in love and when she received the call that would change her life that her beloved fiancé had been killed by a drunk driver on his way to pick her up for their third year anniversary dinner.

WHY?!?! She thought as she broke down. She was sick of being so strong and sunk to the floor clinging her hands into the brown casket and began sobbing loudly. Aria Sheridan her sister and her fiancé Billy Boyd ran to her side and Aria held her sister in her arms and her heart broke for her older sister whose heart was indeed broken and possibly would never be placed back together again.

Aria and Billy placed their hands on each of Katie’s shoulder as the casket that carried her fiancé and beloved best friend’s body lowered into the ground. The rain began to fall and Aria grabbed Katie’s arm, but Katie only pulled away from her grasp.

“Come on love, leave her be...” Billy’s soft voice told Aria who could only nod and watch her sister be in so pain and walking away.

Katie glanced down at the simple yet meaningful tombstone that had been placed.

She could hear people yelling for her to get out of the rain, but she couldn’t move. How was she going to live without Landon? He was her world.

“Is there anything I can do?” a male British voice asked as he entered Billy and Aria’s house later that evening.

Billy shrugged as he closed the door behind his friend, “She just sits there all day mate. We’re really worried about her. Especially Aria. I think Katie’s about to give up on life. She says she’s empty without Landon. Landon would be furious if he saw her like this.”

Dominic Monaghan glanced at his best friend and sighed, “I don’t know Katie that well, but I know how it is to lose someone you love. Do you think I could talk to her?”

Billy shrugged and pointed upstairs, “Up to ye mate. Good luck. She won’t talk to anyone. Not me, not Aria, not her mom and dad.”

Dom nodded and walked upstairs to the guest room and knocked on the door.

“Go away! I don’t want to talk to anyone.” Katie yelled from inside.

“You know, I’m sure Landon would be not happy with you at all right now Katie.” Dom exclaimed and silence was heard on the other side of the door so he decided to continue.

“I’ve known Landon for years Katie and he wouldn’t want you like this at all. So why are you making him mad, you know how stubborn he is so open up and talk to me. I lost my best friend Katie, I’m just in much pain as you are so please let’s talk.” Dom pleaded with her and a minute later the door was unlocked and Katie stood there looking awful. Her clothes were wrinkled and messy along with her hair and her face looked like she hadn’t washed it in days. Tear stains were evident and she just stood there trying not to fight back tears. Landon and Dom were best friends and she knew Dom was in as much pain as she was.

She ran into his arms suddenly and held him tightly as they both cried. That was the last piece of solitude she would ever have and the last time she and Dom would ever get along peacefully.

How was she going to live her life without the one person whom supported her in everything she did? How was she going to be the same person? Could she really live without Landon?

And, oh my....I love this angsty beginning! Poor Katie! I can't even imagine having to go through something like this, especially at such a young age. I can understand how she feels like her life is over. But, Dom really is good to be there for her, showing her that Landon wouldn't want her to just crawl into a shell and die.

It's sad to know that this will be the last time she and Dom get along. But, I can't wait to see how you are going to write their future relationship! This is such a great beginning. I am beyond excited for more!

Maybe...lol actually the first chapter (working on as I type this) is much happier especially for Amber and Billy ;) *whistles here comes the bride* ;)

Landon is a close friend of mine so he is really based on a real person, but it was hard to write that he was dead. It took me about 5 minutes to do it and describing the funeral home was hard because lets face it funeral homes are depressing. But that's really me after my Gramps died. I cut everyone off and was by myself for a long time until my friends (very much like the Aria, Billy and Dom in the story) literally reminded me that my Gramps wouldn't like me doing that so that was also hard because I didnt realize how much I was worrying people.

Hey Laila, thanks for checking this out. Yeah about the song, I mainly did it to help describe Katie's question of why did this happen to a good guy like Landon. The song stuck in my mind after I heard it at work and helped me get inspired so its kinda personal. I'm glad to always hear input---good or bad so thanks.

Alright I owe everyone an explantion (did I spell that right sorry I just woke up) about why I didn't update. And I'm not making this up, but I had to get out of my mom's place last night. There is some family problems that have been going on, but haven't let me bother me until it got to the point last night where I had to get out. I drove all around the place until I found myself at Landon's house. He saw me and asked me what was wrong and I ended up spending the rest of the evening there just talking to him.

See I'm the type of person that is good about hiding my problems from other people until people notice that I'm about to explode. However, I'm fine now. So I'm really sorry.

I'll try and get some of this done before work at 3pm so I won't gurantee you anything this time k guys?

A/N: We do have a narrator and I have made the decision of giving the very important duty to a certain Mr. Elijah Wood. So when Elijah talks as the narrator (in first person too) it’ll be bolded and in blue.

This chapter is dedicated to three great people (and one is about to have her wedding to a certain Scotsman in fictionland) Amber, I hope I described your perfect wedding and if I mess anything up, then let me know and I’ll change it asap. Samma, I don’t know what I’d do without you hun, you’re funny, smart and great with reviewing and making banners. Thanks for always being there. And Moon, thanks for the encouraging words. I really love your stories too. I hope I do a good job for you.

So here it is.

Chapter 1

Here is where it all began. The date was June 20th 2006 and it took place in Glasgow, Scotland. What was going on that was so important you ask? Well it was the wedding date of my good friend Billy Boyd also known as the stupid yet funny character of Pippin from you know that trilogy called Lord of the Rings? Who in there right mind would ever marry Billy? Nah just kidding, Aria Sheridan, our main female character’s sister was marrying Billy. Katie was the maid of honor while Dom Monaghan was obviously the best man. So technically, they had to walk down the aisle for the procession and recession. By the way I’m Elijah Wood, one of the groomsmen and Katie and Dom’s friend. Their hatred began way before this and to be honest, no one knows why except them. I knew that Katie and Dom had lost someone close to both of them, Landon was Dom’s best friend while he was Katie’s fiancé. Right after Landon’s death over a year ago, they just stopped talking to one another.

Anyways so let’s start with the wedding right before Katie had to face her worst fear of being in the same room with Dom. However you might be surprised with what happens because believe me on this, we all were.

Here we go, my friends, for you shall hear the story of two hearts whom will appear…and yes I suck at rhyming so don’t laugh.

“This dress is not cooperating with me Aria, if this dumb thing embarrasses me, I’ll kill you after your honeymoon.” Katie mumbled as she wiggled into her dress which was pink, her least favorite character and Aria only laughed determined to not let her sister’s somewhat of a bad mood ruin her wedding day. Katie scowled while trying to straighten it while glancing at herself in the mirror next to her sister who was head to toe in white.

Aria turned towards her sister and giggled.

“Even you can’t get me in a bad mood today.” Aria pointed out and Katie glanced at her younger sister and smiled knowing how happy she was with Billy and they were declaring their love with one another by getting married. But then she scowled again when she remembered that she had to walk down the aisle with HIM during the procession and recession. Once wasn’t enough, she mumbled. She shook her head and thought blah, when the other bridesmaids came in.

Amarillys Garnet-Mortensen, Annie Jane Mortimer, and Janou Petit, but went by Moon instead walked into the bride’s room and gasped when they saw Aria.

“You look beautiful sweetie, Billy’s gonna fall over.” Annie said teasing her as they all touched Aria’s beautiful laced strapless gown.

Aria’s face went white, “Oh shit don’t tell me that, what if he does? Guys am I doing the right thing? Is marrying Billy a good idea?”

The girls all glanced at Katie worried who shook her head and slowly walked to her sister who was now worried.

“Aria Louise Sheridan-Boyd, you have nothing to worry about. You’re doing the right thing, you and Billy love one another. Now everything will go perfectly today. Just think after the reception, we’ll all take Violet and you and Billy will be alone…alone for two weeks. Do you remember the meaning of the word alone?” Katie asked teasing her.

Aria smiled and laughed. “Alright thanks sis, I’m sorry Landon’s not here to walk you down the aisle.”

Katie smiled slightly as she tried not to cry, “If I cry it’ll be because I have to walk down the aisle with Dom. Landon’s here with us, I can feel him and knowing him, he’s probably trying to calm Billy down. Landon was so good at that, calming people’s nerves.”

Aria smiled and grabbed her bouquet as they made their way outside to the lobby of the church where they were met by the groomsmen all forced to wear kilts and the Sheridan family that consisted of Colin their father and Lily their mother who was crying along with their 7 year old brother Ethan who was the ringbearer and Violet, Billy and Aria’s 3 year old daughter hugged her mother tightly as she was told to stand next to Ruby, Viggo and Amarillys’ daughter, both being the flower girls.

“Mom the wedding hasn’t even begun, why are you crying?” Aria asked with a giggle as she glanced at Katie who rolled her eyes and slowly stood next to the best man, Dom. Colin Sheridan walked over to his eldest daughter and patted her shoulder.

“I know you dislike Dom my dear, however, for your sister, put that aside today and have a fun evening.” He said softly and Katie sighed and nodded as the doors were opened and the processional music began. Lily walked down the aisle with a smile on her face and Orlando Bloom and Moon began walking down the aisle after them, followed by Viggo and Amarillys, then Elijah Wood and Annie, and then Katie and Dom slowly linked arms and began walking down the aisle and slowly smiling for the photographers.

“I thought you hated the color pink.” Dom mumbled to her while continuing to smile.

“I do, but Aria decided pink for the dresses, so shut up and by the way, nice kilt.” Katie mumbled back as he scowled softly as they reached the front of the church. She glanced at a nervous, yet excited Billy standing up there trying to fight back tears. She smiled reassuredly at him and he smiled back as her and Dom separated. She liked Billy, he was a sweet, funny guy who kept Aria on her toes.

She stood at the front on the other side smiling as Ethan, Violet and Ruby made their way down the aisle and soon the doors opened once more and the music changed to the bride’s processional came blasting through the huge church. Billy and Katie turned to see the white blur that was Aria and their father walking down the aisle. Billy let the tears fall down his face as Katie saw Aria fighting back tears as well. She smiled and glanced at the ceiling when she felt a brush against her cheek.

Colin shook Billy’s hand and lifted up Aria’s veil and kissed her cheek. Aria smiled as Colin winked at Katie and sat down next to Lily.

“I, William Boyd, take thee Aria Louise Sheridan, to be me wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, til death do us part. This is my solemn vow.”

“William, take this ring and place it on Aria’s finger and repeat after me, with this ring I thee wed.” The priest said as Billy smiled at Ethan as he took the ring off of the pillow and said “With this ring I thee wed.” He said smiling as he placed the simple ring on Aria’s finger.

Aria sniffled and turned towards Katie who shrugged and then handed her a simple gold wedding band while smirking. Aria rolled her eyes as the bridesmaids’ laughed and she turned towards Billy once again.

“With this ring, I thee wed.” She said softly as she placed the band on Billy’s finger and laced their fingers together.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride William.” The priest announced.

“Finally!” Billy exclaimed as he grabbed Aria and kissed her as the congregation laughed and then cheered for the couple who turned away smiling.

“I now present to you for the very first time as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. William Boyd!” The priest announced as the recessional music began and the crowd cheered once again. Katie handed Aria her bouquet as Billy and Aria started the walk back. Katie and Dom met half-way and he quickly hooked her arm in his as they walked back down the aisle.

“You look nice.” Katie said to Dom who glanced at her shocked as they reached the lobby of the church where everyone would meet and greet Billy and Aria along with the Boyd and Sheridan families and the parties.

“What?” he asked shocked as they unlinked arms and he stood next to her.

“I said you look nice,” she repeated.

“Okay who are you and what have you done with Katie Sheridan?” Dom asked flatly and Katie laughed as the other members of the parties arrived at the back of the church.

“I’m still the same Katie Sheridan Dom.”

“I know, that’s what frustrates me like no other.” Dom muttered and she only smiled fake at him to make him more mad.

“You know you love me Dom….oh my god I can’t believe I just said that.” Katie said.

“Yeah I can’t either, and please I don’t even like you. How could I ever love you?” Dom replied.

“Right back at ya druggie.” Katie said and he groaned. Druggie was the nickname Katie had given him since he started LOST because his character had been addicted to heroin.

“Shut the hell up why don’t you?” Dom said and Katie turned to glare at him.

“Why don’t you shut the hell up?” she asked back.

“Break it up both of you!” Elijah exclaimed at the both of them.

Yes I had to break those two apart. Pathetic isn’t it? Two grown adults can’t even get a long at their best friend and sister’s wedding. I’m not calling Dom or Katie pathetic, only their actions. And the sad part is, that is only one of their small arguments. Here is some information about Dom and Katie mainly about their pasts and what we know about it.

Dominic Monaghan- Dom for short, 29 years old, blondish-brown hair, 5 ft 7 and I think he has hazel eyes. Like I paid attention to that kind of details. Anyways we all met on the Lord of the Rings set and have been inseperable ever since. He is currently filming LOST the tv show in Hawaii.

Katie Sheridan-27 years old, use to have brown hair, but dyed it red after Landon died. Actually I love her hair red. She is short around 5 ft 3ish I’d say and has blue eyes. She was a first grade teacher in her hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina where her family lives. Her and Landon had lived together in Glasgow when he died so she sold their house and moved back to the USA. She just recently moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Aria and Billy. So far, it’s been quite a change for her.

Now their past is quite interesting if you ask any one of us. As you all know Aria, Katie’s sister is now married to Billy Boyd whom is Dom’s best friend. Landon Butler is my friend Annie’s boyfriend’s cousin. Dom introduced Katie to Landon and they got engaged a year after their first date. They had been engaged and one month prior to the accident, was when they were going to tie the knot. Tragic isn’t it?

Dom and Katie do have a past believe it or not, they dated for a bit after Landon died. And at the time, they got along really well. I know what you’re thinking, what the hell happened then? Well sorry to leave you all at a cliffhanger, but no one knows. I don’t know, not even Aria or Billy know. Only Dom and Katie know and they refuse to talk about it.

So anyways back to the wedding reception, what will happen when Katie and Dom are forced to dance with one another?

Well you might be surprised…because we all were. But that’s another chapter ;-)

Kidding. I loved the chapter, but then again I'm a sucker for weddings so I usually love wedding chapters... Even though I've only been to two weddings in my life of which exactly 1 (yes, one, 1, uno) was romantic and churchy and stuff... The other was just 'sign this, this, oh and that. Right, you're married'. No eternal monogamy and everything, just signing some papers. But they are in the middle of a divorce. But the couple that married in the church got their happily ever after! So the moral: always marry in a church. With a white gown, even if you're not a virgin. LOL! I'm sorry, I'm just excited about me being in a fanfic!!!

I loved the chappie, I honestly truly cross my heart and hope to die did! And I'm SO looking forward to the reception! Dancin' with my man! The Dirty Dancing skills will come in handy then ;)

Violet being born already was a surprise! I don't ever imagine myself having a kid before getting married...I thought this was a flashback for some reason. I cannot honestly say how much I loved the atmosphere you created... when you said that both Violet and Ruby were the flower girls I hoestly went 'awww' and put my hands on my mouth. Yeah, call me Miss Sugar, but Am's my best friend and it was just bound by nature I'd love that!

Without further ado, I give you Chapter 2...hey that rhymed!!

Chapter 2

Okay where did we leave off? Oh yeah, the wedding. Sorry have a bad memory sometimes, especially when you’ve had too much to drink the previous night. Ha, most of the people whom I know would agree with me.

Anyways, it was the day of Billy and Aria’s wedding. So far, it had been beautiful and perfect. Now it was the wedding reception. Katie and Dom, as always, kept their distance until it was time for the best man/maid of honor dance which I hear does happen at some receptions. Katie and Landon were going to dance to a song called “Everything” by Lifehouse at their reception, but as you all know, that would never happen. Aria requested a slow song, but the DJ made a mistake of playing this song for Dom and Katie.

So I bet you all would like to see what happens, I remember this like it was yesterday…

The cake had been cut and everyone was having a turn on the dance floor at one point and Katie smiled as she glanced at her mother and Billy dancing. She smiled at Aria who was walking over to the DJ and whispered to him something and he nodded.

She sipped her red wine as the song ended and Billy hugged his new mother-in-law and walked back over to his new wife and picked up little Violet who was hugging her daddy’s leg.

“Alright everyone, this is the last time certain people have to come up to dance. It is a new tradition at weddings and it’s called a dance where the best man dances with the maid of honor, so could I have Dominic and Katie to the dance floor?” the DJ announced and both Katie and Dom’s eyes went wide as they were pushed onto the dance floor. The starting strands of “Everything” by Lifehouse blasted through the speakers and Katie turned her head to a wide-eyed Aria and Billy who looked apologetic at her for the song choice. She shook her head and turned towards Dom who, on the other hand, was shooting daggers at the direction of the couple. He then turned towards Katie, let out a sigh of defeat and held out his hand. She slowly took it and glanced up at him as they began dancing slowly.

“Wasn’t this yours and Landon’s song?” Dom asked curiously and she shot her head up shocked.

“How did you know that?” she asked quietly and he shrugged as he lifted up his arm so she could turn.

“You’d be surprised what I know about you Katie, I am, however, surprised that Aria would tell the DJ to play this.” Dom replied and she sighed.

You know for a song that repeats the lyrics over and over again, it’s long.” Aria said quietly to Billy who slowly nodded.

“Aria dear, what did you do?” Colin asked his youngest daughter.

“We wanted to surprise Dom and Katie, and I think he worked. I didn’t ask for the DJ to play this. I forgot this was Landon and Katie’s song, she’s gonna kill me.” Aria replied as they all continued to watch Katie and Dom closely. They were still dancing, just avoiding looking at one another.

As soon as the song ended, they slowly pulled away from one another glancing at one another. They didn’t notice the silence had filled the air waiting for them to do something.

Dom bit his lip and then glanced up to see Katie’s eyes filled with tears.

“Katie…” Dom said softly as he started to walk towards her, but she held up her hand to stop him.

“Was this your big bright idea Dom? Does it make you happy to see me miserable? Do you need to remind me that Landon is gone? Because I already bloody know! Just leave me the hell alone!” Katie replied as she picked up the bottom of her dress and ran outside of the reception hall and sat on the bench outside feeling the wind blow in her face and in her hair.

Aria saw her sister run out of the room and went to follow her, but was stopped by her husband.

“Just leave her love, she needs some time alone. She’s missing Landon that’s all. She’ll be alright once she clears her head.” Billy replied as he wrapped his arm around her waist and Aria leaned in to place her head against his chest.

“Do you think she’ll come back?” she asked as Dom left the dance floor and went to the bar to get some drinks.

Billy smiled and kissed her forehead, “I’m sure she will.”


“I can’t stay here anymore Aria, I’m sorry, but I can’t.” Katie told her sister about an hour later.

Aria nodded solemnly and hugged her sister tightly.

“It’s okay, you already gave your speech, you’re free to go. I’m sorry I never meant to hurt your feelings.” She said as they kissed each other’s cheeks.

Katie smiled slightly, “I know sis, I know. Have a great time in New Zealand with Billy. Call me if you want and when you get back, we’ll spend time together okay?”

Aria smiled back, “We better, I’ll give you a call…maybe…” She said winking at her and Katie smirked.

“Okay have fun and use protection. You already have a 3 year old.” Katie said winking back as she grabbed her purse and made her way back to her apartment where the women had spent the morning and some of the afternoon getting ready for the wedding.

Soon the rain began to come down and Katie glanced up squinting at the sky as she stopped and took off her heels. She hated heels enough, she didn’t have to wear them anymore. She felt bad for leaving, but she needed to leave. Before she knew it, the light rain turned into a heavy downpour and she sighed as she was now completely soaked.

She stopped suddenly as she heard a car pull up beside her and heard her name being yelled. She turned around and saw one of Billy’s best friends Orlando Bloom standing there beside her.

“What are you doing here?” Orlando practically yelled.

“Walking home, I couldn’t stay there any longer. I miss Landon too much and Dom isn’t helping with that little prank he pulled.” Katie replied shrugging.

“Come on let me take you home…wait you think that whole thing was Dom’s idea? No it wasn’t Katie, Dom didn’t know what was going on, just like you.” Orlando said as he dragged her to his rental car. She sighed as she sat next to him in the passenger seat and he started the car again.

“Oh please Lando, don’t stick up for Dom, he doesn’t deserve it. Wait a minute, why did you leave early?” She asked as he began driving back to her apartment.

“I have to, I have to start publicity for Pirates in the USA starting in a couple days so I’m on my way to Heathrow after I pack and off to the States for who knows how long.” Orlando replied and Katie nodded as he pulled up into her apartment complex.

“Thanks Lando, good luck with press and call me if you need a break.” Katie said and Orlando smiled and nodded.

“I just might do that and Katie, everything will be alright.” He said with a smile as he drove off leaving her smiling a bit as she walked into her apartment building and unlocked the door. She opened it and threw her purse and shoes down and closed the door behind her. She let out a heavy sigh and walked to her bedroom where she sat on her bed and glanced at her nightstand which held various pictures of her and Landon and some with only him.

She picked one up and smiled as she remembered that it was their first date and he had taken her miniature golfing.



She smiled and ran her finger across his face and stared at the picture before she realized that a tear had fallen down on his bright smile. She sniffed and wiped it off before giggling at the next picture. It was a picture of when they were younger before she had ever met him. Dom had given this picture to her after Landon had proposed.



She then placed that down and picked up a picture that she had taken of him and he framed it for her for their one year because she had thought she had lost the film, but he found it when they were moving.



She then picked up the pictures of the day he had proposed to her. It was on their one year anniversary at the park. She smiled at the first one, the one before they ate their pizzas and before he had to change because of all the sauce he had spilled on his shirt. She snickered at the memory, she missed those moments.



And this was the picture that had been taken at Landon’s reaction after she had gave him a yes for his question. She’ll never forget that moment.

June 8, 2004

“So what are you thinking about?” Katie asked her boyfriend of one year as they arrived at the park holding hands.

Landon glanced down at his short girlfriend and smiled, “Nothing love, just excited.”

She smiled as they kissed softly and they sat on the bench and he handed her, the digital camera that she had fell in love with.

“Will you marry me?” Landon asked suddenly as she was taking a picture of him. She stopped suddenly and her eyes went wide as she lowered the camera.

“What?” she asked curiously.

“I…I…I asked you if you would marry me. I love you so much Kathryn Marie Sheridan, I can’t live my life without you. You complete me Katie. I love you…so let’s make this official and not wait another day, will you marry me?” Landon asked. Katie’s eyes filled with tears as she set down her camera and walked over to him and sat next to him.

“Really? You want to marry me?” She asked shocked and Landon laughed loudly as they wrapped their arms around one another.

“Of course I want to marry you, but will you is the question right now?” Landon asked and Katie smiled as she stood up and grabbed her camera.

“Yes I will marry you Landon,” she said and caught his reaction as she took a picture.

“Pick the bloody camera down and kiss me already!” Landon exclaimed while smiling as he stood up and grabbed Katie in his arms as he kissed her soundly. She smiled and kissed him back.

Katie smiled as she placed the pictures back on the nightstand and ran her hand across Landon’s side of their bed and grabbed his pillow. His scent was fading off of his pillow and she held his pillow tightly as she closed her eyes and fell asleep almost immediately.


Poor Katie. I can’t help, but feel really sorry for her. I don’t know what I would do if I lost the love of my life only a month before we got married. Landon was a really nice guy and he loved Katie.

Anyone notice the kind of a connection between her and Orlando? Orlando has always liked her, and she him, but only as friends.

Will Katie be ready for another relationship? Especially with someone opposite her like Orlando?

Only time will tell. As the next chapter will too, which all of you readers will have to wait patiently for. Haha! Until later…

Anyhow, this chapter reminded me of when I was in my friend's wedding and forced to dance with the guy who walked with me down the aisle. I didn't know him from the man in the moon and I was so drunk I just kept giggling and telling him how 'awkward' the situation was...to the point where I just screamed AWKWARD in his face at the end and laughed maniacally. I am such a naughty drunk.

It sucks about the misunderstanding, though. Too bad that the DJ ended up playing Landon and Katie's song. I can see how that would tear her up inside and its a real bummer that she left her sister's wedding early.

Cool how you brought Orlando in...can't wait to see what happens next!

Chapter 3


So I see many of you have noticed the connection between Orli and Katie. Believe me you’re not the only one. We all noticed that the day we introduced her to him at the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere in London back in 2003. Orlando’s always liked Katie’s company, I personally think it’s because she didn’t drool over the sight of him. She’s like that with all of us and it is a reality check.

Anyways I’ve never been a person to go to graveyards, but ever since Landon’s death, Katie goes there a lot. To me, it’s just a place where dead people are buried. Katie once told me that she often finds solitude there and doesn’t know how, but she feels Landon’s presence there. We call her Sylvia Browne as a joke because she always seems to predict things and get them correct or something along those lines.

Now what Katie does at the cemetery nobody knows. She’ll never tell what happens there. Aria and Billy assumes that she just sits there, pulls weeds among other things. And maybe she cries. I mean that’s normal right? Who bloody knows.

Before I shut up, I want you all to pay attention to Orlando in this part. He does something that no one expects. And it has to do with our dear Katie…what is it?

Katie sighed as she closed the door to her car. The windows were rolled down and music was playing just like Landon would have wanted. He always loved music.

She slowly walked towards the middle of the grassy cemetery and stopped when she was in front of a tree. There it was, exactly the way, she had left it the last time she was there.
She glanced down at the small tombstone and smiled slightly.

“Hey baby, beautiful day isn’t it?” she asked softly and she felt the wind blow around her and through her hair. She smiled knowing that was Landon’s way of letting her know that he was there.

“Aria and Billy’s wedding was perfect love. I wish you could have been there. You would have loved it…everything was perfect except for that dance I had to dance with Dom. Out of any song in the world, they had to play ours. That really hurt. God I miss you Landon, we would have been married, maybe with kids, happy. I don’t think I can happy without you again.” Katie said sadly as a very familiar song began playing through the car speakers and she recognized it as Evanescense’s “My Immortal,”

Katie sighed as she felt a vibration in her pocket. She jumped when she realized it was her cell phone and picked it up and read the Caller ID and it read Lando.

“Lando? What does he want? Sorry babe,” Katie apologized to Landon’s grave before pressing the talk button.

“Yellow?”

“Katie?” Orlando’s voice rang out.

She snickered, “Yeah it’s me Lando, what’s up?”

“Not much, how are you?” He asked as he flopped down on his bed in his hotel room in Los Angeles, California.

“I’m alright, just visiting someone.” She replied.

“Landon?” He asked raising an eyebrow and she snickered.

“How did you know?”

“Wild guess, how many times do you go there?”

“Once a week or so, why?”

“Just curious.”

“Are you only curious or is everyone curious on what I do there?” Katie asked curiously and Orlando laughed.

“Okay Sylvia Browne, back off. Sure we’re all curious, you go there constantly.”

“So what did you call for Lando?”

“Hey wait a minute…anyways as you probably know the premiere of Pirates is coming up in London and I was wondering if you’d like to go with me?”

Her eyes went wide, “What? Like a date or something?”

“Well kinda, tell you what, let’s go as friends. After all that’s what we are right?”

“Yeah…friends. Tell you what Lando, it’s a deal.”

“Really?” Orlando asked clearly surprised.

She snickered, “Why not, if we’re only going as friends.”

“Okay then, I’ll call you later with more details okay? All I know is that it’s at Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square”

“Sounds good, talk to you later Lando.”

“Bye Katie.” They both said as they hung up.

She sighed and turned back to the grave in front of her.

“Landon sweetie, I know we talked about this before, but I can’t help, but feel guilty about this. I love you and only you. It’s awkward.” She said softly as she remembered the discussion her and Landon had a couple weeks before the accident.

“Katie honey can we talk love?” Landon asked her as they washed their dishes from their dinner one snowy, cold evening.

Katie turned to him slowly with a raised eyebrow, “What’s wrong? Are you alright?” She asked her voice shaking.

He only smiled and kissed her lips softly. “I’m alright, just thought of something while at work, so let’s talk.”

She sighed and nodded, “Okay let’s go,” she said as they walked into the living room of their apartment and sat down on the couch.

“So what’s on your mind love?” Katie asked curiously and Landon only smiled slightly.

“I don’t want you to get scared or anything when I say this, but if something ever happens to me…I want you to move on with your life.” Landon said and Katie glanced at him with wide eyes.

“Landon…are you sure you’re alright? Are you sick or something?”

“No I’m fine, really I am love, but I want you to be prepared. If…something would ever happen to me Katie, move on with your life. Be happy and even if that means without me in it…then do it. I love you with all of my heart and I want you to be happy.”

Katie’s eyes got watery and Landon noticed them and hugged her tightly.

“I’m sorry sweetie, I did not mean to make you upset. It was not my intention.”

She nodded and wiped away her tears as she leaned her head against his chest.

“I know, but I don’t think I could ever live without you Landon. It seems impossible.” She sighed and he nodded.

“I feel the same way about you love, it’s impossible for me to even imagine life without you. Just promise me that Katie, that if something were to happen…to me whatever it is, that you won’t live your life depressed and miserable just because I’m not physically there. Always remember that I’m always here with you.” Landon replied and she nodded.

“And vice versa, I would want you to do the same thing. I love you Landon,” Katie said and he smiled.

“I love you too,” he whispered as their lips met once more.

Katie’s cell phone rang when she pulled up in the parking lot at the apartment she was sharing with her friend Kathleen Nightly whom was dating Hugh Dancy, an actor friend of Orlando’s. She turned off the car and pulled out her cell phone while glancing at the Caller ID and it read Aria-Cell. She smiled and picked it up.

“I’m surprised you’re calling me Aria.” Katie said.

“Believe me I am too, but I just wanted to check up on you. I’ve been worried sick about you ever since you left the reception early.” Aria replied.

Katie snickered, “I’m fine Aria really. Just dancing with Dom out of all people to the song that my fiancé and I were going to dance to was too much. Orlando gave me a ride though.”

“Orlando? Elf-boy? Really?” Aria asked surprised and Katie laughed.

“Yeah how much other Orlando’s do you know?”

“True true, but are you sure you’re okay?” Aria asked.

“Better than before, Lando called me earlier and asked me to go with him to the London Pirates premiere with him…”

“He what?!?! And what did you say?!!?” Aria exclaimed.

“I said sure, but only as friends.” Katie replied.

“Holy shit Katie, you’re going on a date with Orlando! I never thought in a million years that you liked Orlando like that whatsoever!” Aria commented.

“Hey! I don’t like him like that so don’t give me a lecture okay? I gotta go, talk to you later Aria, tell Billy hi and have fun.”

“Okay bye Katie.” Aria said as they both hung up their phones.

Katie sighed as she entered the apartment noticing that Kat was not there so she was alone for once and she flopped on the couch.

Her ears perked up when she heard a familiar tune, she opened her eyes and glanced at her small cell-phone. She picked it up without glancing at the Caller ID.

“Aria I’m fine, go have fun shagging Billy.” Katie said.

“Uh Katie,” another female voice said and Katie gasped when she realized it was Annie not Aria.

“Annie hey, sorry about that. How ya doing?”

“Great thanks, I’m calling for two reasons, first off, are you okay? I didn’t see you at the reception and I was worried.”

“I’m fine really…and the second thing is?”

“I heard you and Orlando were going out together, is that true?” Annie asked curiously.

“Somewhat, but we’re not a couple or anything. Why?” Katie asked.

“You know I dated Orlando for a long time right?”

“Yeah I know…”

“Well there’s something I think you should know…” Annie said quietly.

Yup Katie agreed to go with Orlando to the Pirates premiere. Needless to say, I was just as shocked as you all are probably. But we all thought that maybe she was ready to move on after Landon. Annie’s boyfriend Gerry was Landon’s cousin and he even thinks her moving on would be a good thing for her.

Annie and Orlando did date for a long time, but their relationship ended suddenly one day and they don’t converse with one another. Annie then began dating Gerry Butler, Landon’s cousin and is much happier. Orlando, on the other hand, wasn’t happy until he started talking to Katie more.

So what do you all think Annie is going to warn Katie about? I know, but I’m not telling hahahaha!!!

I totally love, LOVE, Elijah narrating! At then end with his little evil laugh, :lol: priceless. I loved the chapter Katie and I love that song, it fit that part perfectly. I also love how all her friends all the sudden know she is going to the premiere with Orli. (lucky chick man! ;-) ) Anyways, I loved it and I is my character ever at the apartment, geez! Where the heck do I go, oh wait I have an idea, never mind. :teehee: Ok, update soon and I really loved it!

:cry: It's so sad that Katie still visits Landon every week at the cemetary. But, if it helps her clear her thoughts, then I think it is a good thing.

But, what is it that Annie is going to tell her? I am very curious now to hear why she and Orlando broke up. And, is it going to make a difference to Katie?
