As you may know, the Soccer World Cup starts tomorrow (Friday), and I just realized that you could easily base a fun story on it. I mean, everyone's coming to Germany these days, and many celebrities support their teams with great passion. Hence why I came up with this.


The general plot line is as follows:

Jenna, a 23-year-old student from Berlin, Germany, didn't like soccer very much until she realized there's quite the eye-candy to it once the players take off their shirts. Plus, you never know how many great people you'll run into during this one month of nationwide crazyness - new friends, new enemies, and possibly the love of your life.

Personality: I'm a door-mat. As in, I basically let everyone walk all over me. Tread on me should be my theme phrase. I'm pretty reserved. Personality: Normally I'm a nice girl but most of the time, I have this quiet pissed off mood and mostly that is due to the fact that I'm either Tired, having to do two or more things at once or if I have to do something that I don't want to do (Or if someone is really pissing me off). And when I act like this, I act like a spolied two year old brat and then some. I normally don't act like this publicly (so that's why I said a quiet pissed off mood, I don't want a cat fight when I go into a pissy mood emotionally). Personality: Highly intelligent, but very dysfunctional and incredibly lazy. I'm not shy, but I find it extremely hard to be social. People say I frown too much and never smile, but I suppose that's how I look. I am not very optismistic, I always question things and I love to argue just for the sake of it as I am stubborn as few and I won't stand back until the other one gives up or simply agrees with me to shut me up. I tend to be really quiet around people I don't know, because I'm extremely anti-social. I'm not, like, a nice person or a goody-goody. I barely ever do homework, but I am very clever naturally and I have very easy to learn, so I cannot be bothered. I have a logic mind and I solve problems easily, but I hate "showing-off". People call me cold and distant, saying that it's hard to get to me, but that's not really true. I wish I could be as careless as people seem to think I am. How crazy about soccer are you (i.e. maniac, fan, somewhat interested, not interested)? At the moment quite crazy, my brother my father and me placed bets on all the matches, I watch all the germany matches on a place where they have a big screen and large crowd to broadcast them, and I realized how exciting a football match can be, usually I find it quite boring though. But having a little brother I am not oblivious or ignorant about players and teams etc.
Which team do you support (if any)? 1. FC Köln *grins* but during the world cup I am a little torn between England and Germany, so I keep my fingers crossed we beat Equador on tuesday so that we don't have to play the three lions - that is in case they don't loose to sweded, god that's complicated.

Personality: Ok this is never easy. I think I am a good friend, at least my friend keep telling me ;), but I don't have many, I like having few close friends, which doesn't mean I'm impolite to acquaintences - I think I am just really not good in transforming acquantences into actual friendships. I really don't know how to do that, so either they do it or it doesn't happen lol. I am also somewhat of a private person, not secretive, I talk about everything *lol*, but I like my alone time. I don't really go partying much etc. I enjoy the arts, theatre, musicals even the opera, and I can come off snobbish and arrogant I guess because I tend to think people who consider 'meeting friends' their only hobby are boring, but I am ready to be contradicted.
I have few compuctions about making a goofball out of myself, I like being considered a little weird. At the match against poland I wore a union jack around my hips, it was fun. One of my quirks is that you won't get me to watch a dvd in german - that is, except you are my little brother - and then only under protest and grumblings about the abysmal dubbing. Oh, I tend to ramble - like do know the show Gilmore Girls, like that - I really really ramble sometimes.
When it comes to men I am incredibly picky - but also very shy. I could never ever make the first step since I have never really been comfortable with the way I look and I have developed this rock hard self-preserving system of not putting myself in harms way - emotionally that is. But once someone has charmed me I think I am quite a good girlsfriend *pats herself on the shoulder ;)* no seriously I really look after my loved onces needs first, I'd try everything to keep him happy and - well satisfied *lol*. I'm quirky and cheeky usually, with my friends and family and boyfriends, really cheeky. Oh and I am not one of those girls that don't like it if men consider them "cute" or refer to them as "their little one" or things like that, no compunctions whatsoever, I love that! ;)
I tend to try things, i used to be with the german red cross for 3 years, and then I was with the youth organization of the SPD for another 2, both was fun but I found in the end it was not for me. Oh and now I'm in a choir - *laughs* with 15 women - each and every single one of them at least twice my age, it's hilarious.

Likes: Poetry (Pablo Neruda, Charlotte Bronte, especially), Literature, Languages, Music (Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Shawn Colvin, James Blunt etc.), some pc-games actually, Movies, Nights, Moon, Garden-chairs, the Rhine, Cologne, Britain, London, different accents of the english language, Mexx woman, Flip-Flops (which I call Flubbies), Watermelon, cherries, weight-watchers, evian (did you know it is Naive backwards?), coke light with as sprinkle of lemon and lots of ice, sunny days, teachers - especially male ones, older men, naughtiness, falling in love, or at least taking a fancy, lately: screaming football chants *lol*, snow, sunflowers, orchids, my i-pod, bami goreng, cocktails (Sex on the beach, strawberry tequila, etc.) , karaoke-bars, my little brother, ok I hope that's enough - oh I forgot my guilty pleasures (now it gets embarressing): I have downloaded every episode of the 6 seasons americas next topmodel, but I don't like the german version, Gilmore Girls, Charmed and Veronica Mars.

Which team does HE support? Gosh I knew that once, I read in an interview whom he support - I have no idea though... maybe it was baseball anyway *lol* - so I say he support Argentina at the world-cup if you decide on Viggo, England of course for Sean.

How will you meet one another?: Hm... ok my dad's wife runs this (bürgerzentrum - I have tried for days to translate it into english to several people, no idea: good luck ;)), right, and for the world cup it is turned into Argentina-house, and Argentina-fancamp so to speak (all this is actually true, except for Viggo of course and the Fancamp is not for Argentina but for Togo!) It has lots of events, an argentinian cafee where they offer specialities from the country and an argentinian dj playing that countries music, great place to hang out, and they also broadcast all the games on a huge screen. I am there with my dad and brother and sometimes friends quite often, especially because my dad made an art-piece (he's a carpenter aspiring to be an artist, he does sculptures out of wood) for argentina, it is interactive, people paint on it and leave their signatures etc. so he is there all the time at his huge wooden sculpture, and I visit him. Another attraction is that after the last game in the qualifying round the argentinian team come there to give autographs etc. And Viggo came to see the match in cologne, heard about it and planned to support his team (wheather or not you make him a celeb doesn't really matter I guess, but he should be an artist...). He finds my father's artpiece quiet appealing but my dad's off somewhere and told me to stand there and tell people about it and make them contribute, so Viggo comes and I explain and he paints on the thing and I get all fascinated with him and he liked me to... bla bla bla ;).
If all that is way too compliacted - and I wouldn't blame you - I dunno, tell me on msn and I come up with something else.

Hey! First, thanks so much for the part!

Second, I can edit my info now and say that Italy is my favorite football team. I watched them play today in one of the World Cup games and they so won my heart. :laugh:

Oh yes! I am so excited for you to start this! I didn't know anything about soccer when I signed up for this cast call, but lately I have become obsessed with World Cup and Italy was my team the whole way, so I am majorly pumped that they won. I even found an Italia jersey here in the southern States which is nearly impossible! I wore it today to a pub and cheered Italy on with such glee. Can't wait for you to start this!!!

*sighs* okay, the problem is the following:

when I started this cast call, I kinda forgot I was going to Australia for a year on October 9. Maybe because I can't quite believe it yet, but anyway. Then I realized it had taken me about a month to write 6 chapters of my Erik fic. One month for a fic with two main and a few supporting characters, nothing big. Plus, I'm not writing anything else at the moment. So as I went back to prepare T.G., I realized there's NO way I can finish this in time before I leave for Australia. And since I will be doing a year of working and travelling all across the country, ergo not staying in one place for longer than a few weeks, I have no idea if and when and for how long I will have internet access. Of course Australia isn't internet-less, but I really don't feel like making one day of my life down there dependable on the net. It's alright here, where everything's the same, but this will be an adventure, a new chapter of my life.

So basically, since I've only written a few "scenes" (not calling them chapters because they're not lengthy enough for that), and since I have like, what, 24 characters? plus another fic to write - I can tell it won't be finished till the end of September. Meaning I WILL have to abandon it for a longer time halfway through.

Now the question is:

Do you guys want me to start either way? Or postpone it till I get back from Australia a year from now (summer 2007)?

Mind you, the European Soccer thingie is in 2008, and we could always pretend the World Cup took place a year later.

Anyway, this is up to you. :)
