The Life Of A Poor Yankee Gurl

LOL!! Never thpought I'd be writing about me... well like an Autobiography for real.. So I guess I'll take this seriously. *Puts her fave folklore CD: Nelly Furtado*

My name is Adrienne Hewson but there's a long story behind my name: I was born in Bogotá, Colombia (South America), but my parents came to the States when I was 1 and in Colombia my name was Ivonne Loren García, and after doing some papers, I became a North American Citizen, so I'm half Colombian and half American and my name has been changed to Adrienne Hewson (The Hewson is the last name of one of grandparents and the Adrienne because my mum liked the name Adriana in spanish). practically I've spent my whole life here in the States, first at Los Angeles, then in 2001 I went to Colobia for one year and I came back to move to New York. I guess I finally found my place, new york always was my fave city and I feel more of a Yankee than a LA gurl.

My life has been... Well a good life, full of trips around the world thanks to the job of my dad (Venice, London, Wales, Wellington, Glasgow, Dublin, Toronto, Ontario, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Saint Tropez, Hawaii, among USA cities like Detroit, Vegas, Miami, Memphis, Chicago, Boston, Tampa...) It's been a good life full of privileges, even when I lived things so fast for my age (I'm just 18) and well, I've suffered bulimia when I was 15 and it has it's sequels, I've lost important persons in my life (boyfriend Tobey and my best friend Caroline). I don't think I am beautiful...

I love writing, that's why I am here and well, I love it. I write since I was 13 when I said I wanted to be famous and I'm working had on that eversince, it is hard, no one said it was easy but heck, I'll get to the screens one Day. I study journalism, my love for the books and writing has no limit and were the main reasons to pick that career.

I love art, my parents are artists, my mum paints (beautiful paintings, she has a gallery) and my dad is a graphic designer, the art flows in my veins then ;) And I love photography, I took a seminary of B&W photography and I know about art because of my mum.

Umm... I'm a vegan girl, even when I broke the diet one moth ago since I suffered a disorder and I needed some vitamins and i've been forced to eat eggs (urrh... Hate them) and chicken.

I love sports, Specially Skateboarding, Hockey and Snowboarding. My biggest dream is to have my own movie, me writting the screenplay and making it, it is my dream.

Favorite Movies: Gone With The Wind, Forever Young, 12 Monkeys, Practical Magic, You've Got Mail, A Walk To Remember, The Perfect Murder, Queen Of The Damned, Gladiator, Toy Story 1 and 2, Lord Of The Rings, Memento, Dancing In The Dark, and any Meg Ryan or Mel Gibson movies, also the Steven Spielberg ones, I've seen them all, but all!!

Fave Books: I worship Tolkien and Oscar Wilde, and probably my fave books are The Picture Of Dorian Gray, I really identify myself with him and I dunno it seems interesting to live a story like that even if it has a tragic ending and Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell. Another books: Portrait Of A Lady, Manhattan Transfer, Madame Bovary, 12 Peregrin tales (by Gabriel GArcía Marquez, Colombian pride, excellent writer, probaby the best writer of Magical realism in the world---> Times Magazine says so, not me and I believe it ;) *Feels proud of her latin Roots*, Family Album, Catch 22, Lestat... I can go on... I keep on reading like 2 or 3 books per month... And I love Jules Verne, he is a really talented writer.

My fave music: The Calling, Goo Goo Dolls, Bjork, Nelly Furtdo, Madonna, Enya, Evanescence, Coldplay, Linkin' Park, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, Queens Of The Stone Age, U2 (I love Bono!!!), The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Strokes, The Vines, The White Stripes, Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Alanis Morissette, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Incubus, Matchbox 20... I can keep on telling you.

i'm impressed... i may say that i admire you because you have done some things i wish i could be able to do, or at least, in earlier time that i'm supposed or i could do them: First, you've been travelling, and second, you live in New York.

ANd i guess i just found out something that connect myself more to you... i mean, sounds odd, but i used to have or still have some things that you say up there ... sad isn't? but at least that i can know now that i wasn't the nly one...

And on top you live in NY!!! The one place in the whole world I would actually kill for to live in! I almost got to do my internship there wich is a really big thing for a Belgian girl... but the stupid TV network rejected it at the very last moment! even when the had already agreed earlier.. ah well, ... I'll get there someday!

I went to the US this summer and of course visited NY! LOL I met Quddus at the TRL studio and took some really good pictures of him. unfortunatly no LOTR guys were up that day. OH and I went to a NY yankees game. HOW MUCH FUN WAS THAT???? !!!!!!!!!!! the best! honesly I had such a great time! They won against the Kansas City Royals! WOOOOOT!!!!
