Interview With The Author

Hey! Welcome to Interview With The Author, I think most of you know what this is about because you first saw it in the EWFN and thanks to Dana and the rest of the administrative team of the EWAC is here for your service.

But... What's interview with the author? (in case you're not familiar with the term)

IWTA is some kind of... questionary I'll be making to the Authors of this site. Are just common questions, like: when do you feel inspired? What inspires you? Any new fics you're working on? And things like that. Just to give you the chance to know the person as the AUTHOR she is, and why not? it could help you in the moment you want to choose someone to make a joint fic with.

Now, I'm thinking about some kind of "Journalists' Crew" To help me with the interviews. I think that One or Two of you guys could help me. If you feel like posting the reasons you want to be in this do it, I'll be picking the two girls soon. But are certain rules:

- You should have experience in the fan fiction forums (should know about the fan fiction section (rules, awards, members, etc...), and of course before making the interview you should read about the author.

- You should be serious with your work, I won't accept a lack of responsibility with this. And I mean with SERIOUS: you should be respectful with the person, don't interview only your friends, the point of view of the information should be objective and not trying to make any advertising or 'campaign' for that author. It is just information for the people, we're not trying to sell something.

- You should have good grammar and redaction. Also you should know how to make an interview (it is not only asking like crazy).

- Enjoy this job, and have a good relationship with all the memebers of this forum.

I think that's all. Some people may think that are too many rules and that they are too serious, but it is necessary. If you think you can take this GOOD :D.

Once i have the two or three people that will help me with the interviws I'll proceed to give the main questionary and we'll make the list of the writers each one will interview.

I'd like to apply for this! Here are my answers to your criteria:

1) Well, I've been around on ewfn for quite a while. I must say I became pretty familiar with awards and rules and such. Also, these fics are so great, I'd read most of them even if I wasn't going to write an interview!

2) If I've ever displayed a lack of respectfulness, please, bring it to my attention! Other than that, I consider myself a nice, serious person. When I sit down to something, I always want it to be perfect and completed. That's why I dislike so much that I can't get ahold of my fics on the other forum to be able to complete them.

3) Well, I'm one of the sticklers for grammar around here. I wince when people confused there, they're, and their. I am constantly correcting my friends' spelling (not rudely, of course, mostly as an FYI, like "Oh, hey, you put an extra L in that word!") Also, I'm pretty good with asking good, meaningful questions. This afternoon I was just interviewed for a local magazine, so I've got some ideas for basic questions.

4) I would definitely enjoy this job! I enjoy everything that involves me putting words onto a screen or paper. Also, I'd say I have a good relationship with many people here. I may not know everyone as well as I'd like to, but perhaps with the job I could move a little closer.
