Title: Dieting
Description: (please at least read!)

~Jewelz~ - March 4, 2006 10:07 PM (GMT)
Allo people.

So, I have this assignment for my health class where I need to find someone who's dieted sucessfully, and ask them a few questions. The only problem is that I don't think I know anyone who has dieted sucessfully! (Eesh!) That is, they've either always been pretty in shape, or not *shrugs*

Anyway, if anyone here has ever dieted sucessfully (or is at least willing to answer these few questions lol) I will love you forever. Really, I will mail you cookies or something *laughs* Please? Pretty please? :bloom:

Here are the questions, just in case anyone loves me *bats eyes* Hahaha...

1. What sort of diet did you go on (low-carb, low-fat, lots of exercise, etc)?
2. What sort of diet/exercising changes did you have to make?
3. Who would you recommend your dieting technique to (what sort of person, that is)?
4. What do you think of diet pills, liposuction, and various other forms of non-exercise/diet altering ways of losing weight?

Also, if anyone just wants to pm me their answers, (so no one else has to read them), that's totally fine. And, like I said, I will forever be indebted to you!

Please, someone *gets on knees and begs* Please just answer my questions *holds up plate of *insert your favourite kind of cookies here**

*laughs*...

(Or, you know, if you know someone who's dieted sucessfully, you could just tell me what they did lol...)

I completely disagree with anything that is not natural. No diet pills. No liposuction.

1. What sort of diet did you go on (low-carb, low-fat, lots of exercise, etc)?

low carb, no meat, not much dairy

2. What sort of diet/exercising changes did you have to make?

I gave up meat. I started kick boxing.

3. Who would you recommend your dieting technique to (what sort of person, that is)?

People who want to be healthier and lose a few kilos. Nothing drastic.

4. What do you think of diet pills, liposuction, and various other forms of non-exercise/diet altering ways of losing weight?

I've always had a problem putting on weight because im short and have a thyroid problem, so if it became a problem for me to lose weight I might use diet pills etc, but only if I really needed it. plus, most of them dont work. You just have to be consistant with everything, eating, exercising...all that.

Hey babe! I'm actually on one right now!

1. What sort of diet did you go on (low-carb, low-fat, lots of exercise, etc)?

I'm not really sure what kind it is, but I went to a dietition and I have to get up at 7 AM every morning and from then until 7 PM I have to eat every three hours. He gave me a routine to stick to along with what I'm allowed to eat.

2. What sort of diet/exercising changes did you have to make?

The first two weeks you aren't supposed to excercise, but he didn't tell me not to so I walk about two miles with my step mom every other day and then on the off days I dance.

3. Who would you recommend your dieting technique to (what sort of person, that is)?

Anyone who is willing to lose the weight. The man I go to has helped famous people ((all Spanish Soap actors/actresses)), and is really good.

4. What do you think of diet pills, liposuction, and various other forms of non-exercise/diet altering ways of losing weight?

Well, I don't recommened lipo or anything like that, and I would say no to diet pills, but I might be lying then. In the diet I'm doing I have to take three different types of pills. They are natural things that help my body react to the diet how it should. I'm not saying that they aren't diet pills, because I don't know what they are...I only know what they do. I'll give you my eating schedule.

7:30 AM - 2 Thermonex ((That's the first pill I have to take. This one eats at the fat/grease in my body.))

8:00 AM - 4 egg whites with one slice of wheat bread
8:00 AM - 8 oz cup Fiber One ((Mondays and Fridays only))

9:30 AM - 2 X-Pel ((This one cleans out your system. You'll go to the bathroom to pee your life, which also helps you increase your metabolism.))

10:00 AM - 2 scoops protein shake with skim milk 8 oz

10:15 AM - 2 Opitwomen ((These are the last pills and they are simply vitemans.))

12:00 PM - 6 oz turkey breast with mix vegetables
12:00 PM - 8 oz serlion steak with mix vegetables ((Fridays only))

3:00 PM - 2 X-Pel

3:30 PM - Green apple

Between 5:30 PM & 7:00 PM - Chicken salad

You must drink one gallon of water a day. No salt and no sugar.

You also cannot have: tomato, potato, watermelon, banana, corn, melon, oranges, or respberries.

Fat Free dressings ONLY.

That is my schedule for the next two weeks ((one week down, one to go)). Next Monday I go see him, weigh in, and he gives me a new schedule. He supplies you with the pills and protein shake. Depending on your weight, body fat, age, and height depends on what you get to eat. I got lucky...really lucky. My dad's schedule is just horrible....the stuff he has to eat...*gag*....I can't eat half of the stuff he's being made to eat.

Anywho, I so hope that helped you. If you have any questions I'm here!

Good luck!

 Wow, sounds crazy intense! Good luck with your second week. And thanks a bunch for the info :-)

LacedNBlue - March 6, 2006 05:58 AM (GMT)
Eh....*shrugs*.....I've done similar ones so I'm...er...sorta used to it...but I'm already seeing improvement so I'm happy! I wore this shirt last night that was always super tight on me. I almost didn't wear it because I didn't want to have on a really tight tshirt on last night....so yeah....I was happy. :D Good luck with it babe!

Right then- thank you so much to everyone who replied to this post- I am forever indebted to you :bloom:

I suppose we could keep the thread around, just for a discussion/idea sharing place, but that's not really my decision so *shrugs* whatever ^_^

Thanks again girls!

Oh, I'm actually on a diet right now and it's working really well for me. It's nothing extreme, but it seems to fit for me.

1. What sort of diet did you go on (low-carb, low-fat, lots of exercise, etc)?
Mainly just cut back on the amount of food I eat. I only cook from the Weight Watcher's cookbook.

2. What sort of diet/exercising changes did you have to make?
Started to only drink diet drinks, and began trying food I thought I'd never like, namely organic food, but it's all quite good. I mean, you can eat fat-free brownies and low fat corndogs...things like that when you have a really bad craving for junkfood. It's pretty cool. I'm not exercising right now because I'm too busy with school, but when I do it's walking or the step machine.

3. Who would you recommend your dieting technique to (what sort of person, that is)?
Someone who doesn't need a drastic change, but just wants to lose about ten pounds or so.

4. What do you think of diet pills, liposuction, and various other forms of non-exercise/diet altering ways of losing weight?

Diet pills are dangerous....you never know what the effects of them could be on your body/heart later in life. There are no truly successful diet pills that are safe, for if there were, this country wouldn't have such a huge problem with obesity. Ever since I got in pharmacy school, it's all everyone asks me...'is there any new prescription diet medication?' There are some, but none really work well in the long run. Anyhow, I'm very much against the over the counter diet pills and the possible damage they can cause.

This was an interesting little survey, Jewelz! Glad to see you around.

1. What sort of diet did you go on (low-carb, low-fat, lots of exercise, etc)?
Sort of low carb, low fat but with tons of protein (not atkins, just a healthy small portions of everything) and a lot of exercise

2. What sort of diet/exercising changes did you have to make?
I had to eat small portions of bread, carbs. Lots of fruit and veggies (tons, tons tons) and 2 hrs and half of exercise for 5 days... (I ate tons of protein so that made up for the exercise)

3. Who would you recommend your dieting technique to (what sort of person, that is)?
I had it with a nutriologist so I'd grow up (proteins you see..) but well, i think you really need to be focused, and love exercise :D

4. What do you think of diet pills, liposuction, and various other forms of non-exercise/diet altering ways of losing weight?
I can't really say, because I've been there and done all of that, including some unhealthy ways. So I'd feel hypocrit if I just keep say that never never do them.. But they're dangerous, and they destroy your body and mind..
