Title: The Deverry Chronicles by Katherine Kerr
Description: (collection doesn't really have a name)

Well, I first started reading this series a few years ago, and I made the mistake of bringing the first book (Daggerspell) home with me, and now my entire family is hooked...

The books go in order:
Act One
1. Daggerspell
2. Darkspell
3. The Bristling Wood
4. The Dragon Revenant
Act Two
1. A Time of Exile
2. A Time of Omens
3. Days of Blood and Fire
4. Days of Air and Darkness
Act Three
1. The Red Wyvern
2. The Black Raven
3. The Fire Dragon
Act Four
1. The Gold Falcon (due June 2006)
2. The Spirit Stone (due 2007)
3. The Shadow Isle (due 2008)

These would be good reads, especially if you like Celtic fantasy/mythology, are a fan of our dear J.R.R. Tolkien, like love stories, or girls who kick butt.

WARNING
This book deals heavily with "dweomer" (magick) and reincarnation. There is a helpful guide in the front (or sometimes the back) of each book, listing the characters and their past (and future) lives. Be careful, the pronunciation of names is heavily influenced by Welsh, and so sometimes, they're a little hard to read. There should also be a pronunciation guide for the Deverrian names.

I strongly recommend these books for everyone! Try your local library...they probably have at least two or three. And please, if you do go out and read these wonderful books, please please please post your reaction here. It would be much appreciated!!!

*EDIT*
Sorry guys, I realised that I misspelled Katharine Kerr's name, (silly, silly me) it's spelt with an "A" not an "E"; hence KATHARINE not KATHERINE.

Ooops.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I did see her books at the local bookstore,
but since there is such a freakisly amount of fantasy
I never got the chance to read them.

I usually try books that are suggested cause finding something in the fantasy jungle you like yourself is pretty hard. Anyways I love Tolkien and celtic fantasy/ mythologie. So if I have time I will read one and tell you what I think.

The names of the books in blue (they're links! ^_^) are excerpts, so you can get a taste of her writing style, even if some of the situations are a little confusing... lol

Thanks!
I will make sure to check them.

I also read your other post here.
And I really enjoyed reading it.
It was very informative and good.
Though I didn't agree with everything *smiles*
but I guess that is not necessary.

I however do understand her drive for kick-ass female characters.
I am the first to cheer on that.

Yeah...there were spots where I didn't agree with Kit either, especially when discussiong how one couldn't get close to the characters. I never had that problem, but...to each his own, eh?
