A/N: this was a story I had already finished and posted on another website and decided to post it on here. And yes, I know I already have loads of unfinihsed stories on here but trust me, I am always wrting and always wanting to post some new idea that comes to me. Also, this story has already been finshed so, I probably won't take forever to update. Hope everyone enjoys!

Analysis- set after the first POTC an old friend of Elizabeth and Will's comes back for their wedding and causes everything to change and finds herself falling for the one man she has loved all her life, Will.

~Chapter 1-Unexpected guest~

"YOU ARE WHAT!" Will yelled at his fiancé, they were standing in the middle the blacksmith shop that he now owned, because Mr. Brown retired and decided Will should own his blacksmith shop now.

"It is only been set back for 3 more weeks. Because my dear friend Mary can not make it for the wedding and she was my Maid of honor, so Kathleen, who has been my best friend since I was little is going to be my new Maid of Honor." Elizabeth said calmly to Will.

"Wasn't she already coming anyway for the wedding?" Will asked puzzled to his fiancé.

"Yes, but now she is going to have to get her measurements done for the new Maid of Honor gown and learn everything she is going to have to do as my Maid of Honor." Elizabeth said to Will with a sweet smile.

"You are going to put me out of business with all these changes! You better be paying for this new dress and other things to go with it." Will said frustrated with her. She had already made enough changes the last few months for the wedding. She had already changed her wedding dress 2 times, changed her bridesmaids dresses 3 times and her maid of honor's dress 4 times, plus kept inviting more people from London to the wedding.

"Don't worry, this is the last change Will." Elizabeth said smiling to him.

"So, when is Kathleen coming?" he asked turning back to look at his stack of 20 orders Norrington just gave to him this morning to be done by the next day. 'I am never going to get any work done if she keeps changing everything and putting all this stress on me!' Will thought to himself.

"She is arriving this afternoon, at about 2 o'clock." Elizabeth said to Will as she sat down on a stool while he went back to work.

Will looked at the clock on his wall. "That's in 15 minutes! You think you could've told me she was coming a little bit sooner!" Will said turning to Elizabeth with an exasperated expression on his face.

"I'm sorry Will, it's just that I didn't receive her letter that she would be coming until the other night! And I would of told you sooner but I had to talk to father first about arranging a room for her and everything." Elizabeth said as she stood up.

"I forgive you but bring her down to the shop, I would at least like to meet her before the wedding." Will said

"I will just don't mention anything about her love life, she has gone through a lot of pain recently with her ex- fiancé and is really upset about it and is glad to get away from London for awhile." Elizabeth said

"Why, what happened?" Will asked curious.

"Well, first thing is not many men were up for dating her because they thought she was betrothed to another man many years ago, but then they found out she wasn't, so she got a few men to start courting her and then she got engaged to one but he did a horrible thing. He betted to his other Royal navy members that he would propose to her and she would say yes, she found out that he really didn't love her but just her money and it broke her heart. In her letter she said she hopes to find a more better match, maybe in Port Royal." Elizabeth said feeling bad for her friend.

'Poor girl, I hope she meets a better match then that jerk who did that to her.' Will thought
"Well, maybe we could get her together with Jack." Will said as a joke.

"No! She will not get with Jack I will make sure of that!" she said sternly while Will just laughed.

"Well, I am going down to the docks to get her, good luck on those orders. Goodbye Will." she said and she lightly kissed him on the lips and left to the docks.

"Good lord, I am really going to need a vacation after this is all over, the wedding and work!" Will said to himself as he went back to work.

Meanwhile, the Sea Glory was nearing her way to her dock in Port Royal, on the deck was a brown haired, blue-hazel eyed girl who had her head turned toward the sky smiling. Then she turned in her light purple gown toward the railing to look out at Port Royal.

"Finally, I am here in Port Royal where no one will know of my past or my troubles of recent events. My fresh new beginning starts here." Kathleen said to herself as she looked out at Port Royal as they neared the shore.

Chapter 2: Meeting and Memories

Kathleen walked down off the Sea Glory and stepped onto the docks of Port Royal. The cabin boy put her bags and trunk next to her as she stood there like an idiot. Then she saw a familar face coming towards her, it ws Elizabeth with her dirty blonde hair piled high up ontop of her head and she was in a light green gown with a matching bonnet. Kathleen had her brown hair half up in a bun, half down curly. She fiddled with the medalion she wore around her neck that her sister's pet monkey handed to her the day she left, she tucked it back into her dress as Elizabeth approached her.

"Kathleen! It is so good to see you! It has been years!" Elizabeth said as she hugged her friend.

"9 years to be exact. That was when you left for Port Royal with your father and I was left home in drafty London all by self! I missed you so and I must meet this Will you spoke of in your letters that you're engaged to!" Kathleen said smiling at her friend as she pulled away out of the hug.

"Yes you will meet him, but lets get your things back up to the house and then you can go meet him. Oh my goodness you have grown so much more beautiful since the last time I saw you 9 years ago!" Elizabeth said as she motioned to her manservant to get Kathleen's bags.

"I also brought some old friends of yours and mine who wished to come to the wedding. Allison, Kate!" Kathleen called and two other girls stepped forward. One had light brown hair and brown hazel eyes, this was Allison and Kate had blonde hair and blue eyes. They both smiled when they saw their old friend.

"OH MY GOODNESS!" Elizabeth cried and she ran to hug her other two friends.

After the reunion of the girls, they all went up to Elizabeth's house, but Allison and Kate stayed in the inn in town since there wasn't anymore room at Elizabeth's house for more guests. Up at the house the 4 girls talked about what had been going on since they were all last together 9 years ago.

"Can we go meet your lovely Will that you can't stop talking about?" Allison asked finally and they went down to the blacksmith shop.

They walked in and Elizabeth went in the back to get Will. He came out all sweaty and had his shirt open alittle at the top. Kathleen had to control herslef from letting her jaw drop.

"He is handsome." Allison whispered into Kathleen's ear. She had to agree he was the most handsome man she had ever met, he had dark brown curly hair that stuck to his neck since it he was so sweaty, chcolate brown eyes that could see into your soul, and such tan skin.

"I'm sorry ladies about my apperance, I've been working hard." Will said blushing alittle being embarrassed at his apperance.

"No it is fine we understand." Kathleen said 'Oh my goodness! Did I just say that outloud, that it was fine that he was sweaty and dirty? Well, he sure does look awfully good when he is dir...' Kathleen thought unitl her thoughts were interrupted.

"Will this is Allison Baggins, Katherine Sharp or we call her Kate, and Kathleen Nightly . Ladies this is William Turner, my fiance" Elizabeth said pointing to each girl.

"It is nice to meet all of you ladies." he said kissing each of their hands. 'He also has an amazing smile!' Kathleen thought as he smiled at her.

"Wait, did you say William Turner?" Kathleen said looking at him more closely.

"Yes, that's my...Kathleen!" He said shocked as he looked more closely at her too.

"Oh, Will it is so good to see you again!" Kathleen said walking towards him as he hugged her.

"Wait a minute! you two know each other?" Elizabeth said confused.

"Yes, I use to live next door to her and I told her before I left to go find my father 9 years ago that I would marry her when I came home!" Will said laughing and so was Kathleen.

"Wait, you were the one that all those men thought for 8 years was the man she was engaged to?" Elizabeth said a little shocked yet mad.

"Yes, beacuse he even told my mother he was going to marry me but when he never came back the engagement was called off. So we moved on, but it is so great to see you again Will and I am happy for you and Elizabeth." Kathleen said 'No I am not okay wiht them being engaged beacuse I now wish I was still engaged to him! He is more handsome thatn he was 9 years ago, he is now a man.' she thought to herself.

Allison and Kate stood against one wall watching the drama unfold for this new revelation, both knowing that this wasn't going to be a very fun 5 weeks, but it was going to be an interesting 5 weeks.

"Yes, I am very happy with Elizabeth and we hope this won't change your opinion about being her Maid of Honor?" Will said as he put his arm around Elizabeth's shoulders and everyone looked at Kathleen to hear her response.

"No, why wouldn't I still be her Maid of Honor! I would now be even more delighted to be her Maid of Honor becaue it is a wedding between two of my best friends." Kathleen said smiling at her two friends who both smiled back.

'Oh no! What have I now gotten myself into! I still love this man and yet he is marrying my best friend!' Kathleen thought as she looked at the happy couple who were her long time best friends. They all knew in the back of their heads things were about to change.

Chapter 3: Dinner Revelations

"What am I going to do!" Kathleen said to herself as she had her maid fix her hair up in a roman style curled. That night Elizabeth had invited Kate, Allison, and Will for dinner at her house. Just then she heard a knock on her door.

"Kathleen, it's me Elizabeth." Elizabeth said through the door as Kathleen put on her yellow dress for dinner.

"Come in!" Kathleen called and Elizabeth came in.

"Alllison and Kate are here,so dinner will be ready in a few minutes. Will is going to be here also in a few minutes, so come down for dinner soon." Elizabeth said smiling.

"Thank you I will be down in a minute." Kathleen said and Elizabeth left her to finish getting ready. Kathleen put in her pearl drop earrings and she tucked her medalion under her dress and put a pearl necklace over it. She slipped on her yellow shoes and went downstairs. As she was coming downstairs Will was coming inside.

"You look beautiful Kathleen." Govenor Swann said as he turned to see her coming down the steps and Will had a surprised look on his face.

"Thank you Govenor. Hello, Will you look nice." Kathleen said trying to act normal around him.

"Thank you and you look nice too. Elizabeth you look amazing." Will said turning to see Elizabeth walk into the room from the parlor. She was wearing a red dress with red ribbon criss-crossed bodice and she had her hair up in a roman style.

"Thank you Will, would everyone like to go into the dinning room for dinner?" Elizabeth said as Kate and Allison came in the room. Kate had on a dark green dress and Allison had on a light pink dress.

"Yes we should go in for dinner." Govenor swan said as he led everyone into the dinning room. He sat at the head of the table with Elizabeth on his right and Will on his left, next to Elizabeth was Allison, and then Kate and next to Will was Kathleen.

Once the main course was served an intersting topic of converstaion was brought up that sparked new revelations.

"So Kathleen, how are your parents doing? I remember when they both would come to all of the parties I would have back in London and we would have such good conversations, is your father still in merchant sailing?" Govenor Swann asked and Allison and Kate just looked at her with worried expressions, while Elizabeth and Will just looked at them confused.

"Well, Sir I guess you don't know but my father is dead. He died right after you and Elizabeth left and no he was not in merchant sailing he was..." Kathleen said until she was interuppted.

"He was a pirate along with my father on the Blackpearl." Will said looking at Kathleen.

"Is this true?" Govenor Swann asked looking at Kathleen.

"Yes, I am sorry but it is true. I didn't know this until after I found out he was dead and I got a letter from him that he wrote to me before he died. My mother knew that he was a pirate and wanted to keep it a secret from the society we lived in. My father was best friends with 'Bootstrap' Bill or Will's father and my father was called 'Cut throat' Charles. He was angry at what they did to Bill and he stood up for him but they then threw him into the ocean along with Bill, he died fighting for Will's father and for my family's protection. My mother had my sister the day we found out he was dead. We found out from a man who said he was on the crew of the Blackpearl, My mother acted as if she knew him for ages, it wasn't until a few days later my mother told me that the man who told us that my father was dead was my uncle, her brother, but I never knew his name. Now my mother is really ill and may die but she told me to come here to get away form the troubles I had back in London and to maybe find my uncle." Kathleen said and she hung her head low feeling as if a large weight was lifted off of her chest.

"Well, I am terribly sorry for all you have been through. But that is all in the past and we msut look to the future." Govenor Swan said curtly as he started to eat again.

"I also knew about her father. My father also wrote me a letter saying that he wished for me to always be friends with Kathleen because he wanted and hoped that someday we would fall in love and marry and bring our families together. I think maybe his wish just might come true, with us being friends." Will said smiling at Kathleen.

"Yes, I am gald your fathers wish might come true too." Kathleen said smiling back at Will. 'Except I was hoping maybe this friendship could be more someday. But he loves Elizabeth so I need to be happy for them.' Kathleen thought just as the butler came in the room.

"Excuse me sir, Mr. Turner and Miss Swan have a visitor. Should I let him in?" he asked Govenor Swann.

"Yes, we do not let any visitor of Will and Elizabeth's stay outside." Govenor Swann said and then the butler went to get the guest and in walked...

"Well, where are the two love birds! Will! Elizabeth! It is so good to see both of you again!" Jack said as he walked in alittle wobbly.

"Jack!" Will and Elizabeth said surprised. Kate, Allison, and Kathleen looked at each other confused.

"So when's the wedding?" He asked coming and patting Will on the back.

"Well, it is in 3 more weeks Jack, your invited if you wish to come?" Will said and Elizabeth looked at him like he was crazy.

"William! He will not..." Govenor Swann started to say until he was interrupted.

"I would be delighted to come! I would never miss the wedding between my two good friends." Jack said as he sat down on the other side of Kathleen.

"Great, we would love you to come. Wouldn' t we father?" Elizabeth said staring at her father with a pleading look.

"Yes, we would love you to come." Govenor Swann said through gritted teeth.

"Haven't I see you somehwere before, love?" Jack said looking at Kathleen.

"I don't think you have Jack. This is Kathleen Nightly, Allison Baggins, and Kate Sharp." Will said indicating to each girl.

"Will, did you say Kathleen Nightly?" Jack said surprised.

"Yes, why?" Kathleen said to him.

"I'm your uncle! Your mother's brother!" Jack said smiling at her, as everyone else looked at them surprised and at Kathleen's expression.

Chapter 4: The Calling

"Yes, why?"

"I'm your Uncle! Your mothers brother!" Jack said.

"Your...Your...MY UNCLE!" Kathleen screamed at the dinner table, while everyone else was in shock.

"Yes, I am sorry I ahven't been around alot to see you and visit your mum." Jack said smiling at her.

"Well, my mother has been very ill, but since you haven't been around you wouldn't know! I haven't heard or seen from you in 9 years! You were supposed to be the one to take me in incase anything happened to my mother! Well, guess what she died right before I left and I have no place else to go now! After this wedding, I have no where to go! You are the worst uncle in the world!" Kathleen yelled then she slapped Jakc across the face and left the table, upstairs to her room.

"Now, did u deserve that one?" Elizabeth and Will asked at the same time.

"Yes, that one I deserved." he said rubbing the side of his face where he got slapped and it was already starting to turn red.

"Should someone go see how she is?" Governor Swann asked outloud.

"I will."Will said and he went upstairs to Kathleen's room and he knocked on the door.

"Go away." came Kathleen's muffled reply from her room. She was looking out her balcony window with tear stained cheeks.

"Kathleen, it's me, Will. Can I come in and talk to you?" he said softly with concern in his voice.

Kathleen slowly walked over to her door and opened for him to come in and she sat down on her bed.

"Why didn't you tell us your mother died right before you came here?" Will asked

"Because I didn't want to make your wedding a sad affair over the death of my mother. I was going to tell all of you after the wedding. The only person I have left is my younger sister, Charlotte. She is staying with friends of our family back in England, she will soon come here once I get a place to live. I don't want her to live in England with people talking and gossiping about our family and my past. She needs to come here where it is more safe." Kathleen said starting to cry again.

"You should of told us anyway, it wouldn't have made our wedding a sad affair." Will said sitting next to her on the bed.

"My mothers last request was for me to come here and be in your wedding and live away form England and to hopefully find her brother. And now I ahve found her brother and he is a scumbag of a drunken pirate!" Kathleen said frustrated.

"Kathleen, everything will turn out fine. Don't worry, you will have a home and will be safe here." Will said putting a comforting arm around her.

"I don't know where I am going to live! I am just tired of everything, first my ex-fiancee, then my mothers death, and my sister now close to being put on the streets back in London! I just need someone there to take care of me and to make me feel safe, the only reason I feel safe now is because I am with you and Elizabeth." Kathleen said standing up.

"You will have a place to live, whether it be here wiht Elizabeth or if you have to live in the extra room at my house behind the blacksmith shop. You and your sister will be safe and taken care of." Will said walking over to her and hugging her as she cried. "We have to keep that promise to our fathers about us being together forever as friends. We need to always be there for each other, to make sure each other is safe, taken care of, and never hurt." he said as he kissed the top of her head, then there was a knock on her door.

"Kathleen? Will? Are you alright?" Allison asked and Will let her, Kate, and Elizabeth in.

"Where's Jack?" Will asked curious as he pulled away from Kathleen.

"Downstairs, entertaining my father with pirate tales. Then again maybe someone should go back down and get Jack out of here before my father calls Norrington on him." ELizabeth said

"I'll go. Goodnight Kathleen and remember what I said." Will said and he hugged her one last time and left to go downstairs.

"Everything going to be ok?" Elizabeth asked concerned.

"Yes, it will now. Will just reminded me to be strong and everything will be fine, thank you." Kathleen said smiling at them through her tear stained cheeks.

"I'm sorry we all should of told you guys sooner." Kate said looking at Elizabeth.

"You two both knew about this? About her mother?" Elizabeth asked puzzled.

"Yes, they knew. Thats also why they came, in case I had no where to go they would help me get a home here with them in Port Royal." Kathleen said.

"Well, we should all get some sleep. Goodnight Kathleen. Kate and Allison, I'll get the butler to get your carriage to take you to the Inn." Elizabeth said and they all left Kathleen to get some sleep.

Later that night

Kathleen was dreaming she was on a ship with Jack and pirates, strange pirates were surrounding her. They were skeletons! She started to run from them as fast as she could on that ship. While she was dreaming this she was sleep walking, she had walked out of Elizabeth's house and had walked all the way down past the Blacksmith shop. Luckly, Will had extra work he had to get done when he got home and he noticed her walk by out his window.

"Kathleen?" he called but she didn't hear she kept walking.

"Get away from me!" she yelled in her dream. she had walked all the way down to the docks.

The pirates cought her and told her to walk the plank and she walked on of the decks. Will ahd followed her and saw her jump into the water.

"KATHLEEN!" Will yelled as he ran after her and jumped into the water after her. She was starting to drown. he grabbed her when he noticed something fall out of the top of her nightgown, it was the medallion. He brought her back on shore and revived her, she coughed up water and started screaming.

"STOP! STOP! NO!" Kathleen screamed.

"KATHLEEN! WAKE UP! IT"S ME WILL!" he yelled at her and she woke up crying.

"Will! Will? What are you... where am I and why am I wet?" she asked crying.

"You jumped off of that deck into the water and almost drowned! Thank God your alright." Will said as he held her close.

"I..was sleepwalking. There were these pirates that were.. not normal. They were like the living dead... all skeletons." She said as she cried.

"Where did you get this?" Will asked as he held the medallion up from her neck.

"My sister's pet monkey gave it to me before I left, why?" Kathleen asked curious.

"Oh no, it has already called them." Will said looking out to sea, he now had a scared expression on his face. He knew what had happened now, they were coming for him and Kathleen. They both were in danger.
