Title: Dreams
Description: they can be pretty random at times...

So I just thought it would be interesting if some of us wanted to share our dreams. Of course, some dreams are VERY embarrasing and so you can feel free to keep those to yourself if you want. But I always find it interesting how dreams can be so completely random.
Last night I had a weird one. I was in this room with a bunch of celebrities. The lads were there (nice) of course but a bunch of other completely random celebs were there. The nice thing was that we were having good conversations and I wasn't spastic. And then for some very odd reason, Lisa Kudrow and I were making some kind of dessert out of breakfast cereals so then I had to steal corn flakes from Tim Allen (you know, the Home Improvement guy?). Bizarre. Last night before bed my roomates and I watched the "Inside the Actor's Studio" 10th year anniversary show, so there were a lot of celebrities on there - so that makes sense - but what is with the corn flakes???
This could be fun, I hope people will reply.

Hehe, that sounds like a very nice dream ^_^ I hardly ever get dreams with the lads in them *sigh*
I get a lot of airplane dreams, like airplane crashing dreams, and sometimes I'm in the airplane and sometimes I'm not. Last night I had a really weird one where a few of my friends and a couple of aquaintences were with me and we were all in the plane taking off for a school trip to Thailand. So like the plane started moving, but we weren't really on like a runway it was paved with white cement and there was this pillar, holding up the cement roof above us, and so yeah, we were taking off but the plane was moving way too slowly and the wing totally seemed like it was going to hit the random pillar. The plane stopped just before hitting the pillar and I could see, as though I were like sitting in the cockpit, that we were high above the ground, but we weren't flying. And then the plane started moving again, and it went off the little runway thing and started falling towards the ground.
That's the part I remember really clearly, and then I think it sort of flashed to us arriving in Thailand and my friend and I went to these bars and clubs, sometimes other friends were there and sometimes they weren't, and yeah, then I was in a plane again. We took off, this time at the right speed without a random pillar and we were flying above these really dark storm clouds, which kind of freaked me out. The plane started descending below the clouds and once again I had like a cockpit view of what was happening. The plane kept descending and I could see we were headed toward really choppy water. My view switched back to where it was technically supposed to be, because I was sitting in one of middle seats, and then I felt us land on the water.
It was really weird, I remember telling myself it was going to be okay, but water was totally coming into the plane and nobody seemed remotely concerned except for me. Usually I can tell whether or not I'm dreaming, but this time I couldn't, because I was telling myself about a dream that I remember having a few months ago where a plane crashed in the water (that time I wasn't in the plane) and it floated so that's why it was all going to be okay.
At that point my alarm woke me up and I had to go driving. I guess that wasn't much of a dream and more of a nightmare... but yeah, it seemed really weird and random to me. lol, I just realized how long that was... oopt. I'm seriously contemplating getting one of those dream book things so it'll tell me what's up with my crazy dreams hehe. Anyone have a certain dream book they can recommend? ;)

Yikes, scary dream Cat!!
Dreams, nightmares - all are welcome here. Are you afraid of flying? I haven't had very many airplane dreams because I have NEVER been on a plane!!! Except when I was a fetus, my parents flew to Calgary, Alberta. But I don't think that counts. Have you gone on a class trip to Thailand? That would be awesome. Hopefully sometime in the next year I will FINALLY get to be on a plane if my advisor and I go to an experimental biology conference in San Francisco. (Crossing my fingers).
I don't know of any good dream books, but maybe someone else does??
Those pillars and white cement ceilings are very random. ^_^

I used to be afraid of flying, but I'm not anymore. At least I don't think I am. Lol, I wish I'd been on a school trip to Thailand! That would be awesome! I went on a school trip to Italy last March and next March I'm going on another one to Scotland, England and France so that probably has something to do with it.
Oh cool, you're Canadian? 'Cause I am!! Yay! ^_^
That Biology conference thingy sounds really cool! I've never been to San Francisco but just seeing pictures of it and like bits of it from movies and stuff, it seems like a really pretty place. And California is awesome! ... I'm not that big on science... not that smart unfortunately hehe.... but yeah, are you like in it for the animals and stuff? My friend wants to be a Marine Biologist because she's totally inlove with all animals.
I didn't have any random dreams last night... I don't think I can even remember what I dreamed. Oopt. I always forget :( Unless its like a near-death one or something lol.
Oh, but do you get drowning dreams? Like when your underwater and you can't breathe?
Not all my dreams are nightmares though! lol, I get fun ones too like... Harry Potter ones! yay!! lol

Hey Cat
Yes, I am Canadian. From Ontario. A very proud Canadian in fact. ^_^ Where in Canada are you from?
God, I would have loved to go to Europe for a school trip. The farthest we went in highschool was Washington DC. It was fun, but not Europe.
I'm sure you're plenty smart! And let me let you in on a little secret - just because someone is in science doesn't mean they are all that smart. I love biology though. I am studying to be an animal nutritionist. Specifically my masters is in comparative animal nutrition with a focus on amino acid kinetics in dogs. I adore animals and used to want to be a vet, but changed my mind when I was about 21. Now I want to get my Phd.
I don't get too many drowning dreams. I can't remember many of my nightmares. So maybe I do and I don't know. I always dream that I am going to sleep through my alarm clock, or that it won't come on for some reason. So annoying b/c it makes me wake up like every hour to check that the power is still working.
I'm so tired tonight b/c I just spent 14 hours doing an experiment - soooo tiring and hard on the body when you are practically kneeling on the floor and bending down all day. But even though I complain, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I don't think I'll dream of much tonight b/c I'll be way too asleep.
Talk to you later.
:)
