Welcome back to interview with the author!!!
Another wonderfull insight into one of the many great authors this forum has.
Big welcome and applause for Stacy!!
Personal
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hmm.. Well, I'm Stacy. I don't lead to much of a social life outside of work and a couple friends I hang out with. I'm 23 and live in Michigan. I'm really into the reading and writing and all that fun stuff that we get into at the forum. I currently am working at a preschool but, I want to go back to school to get into the medical field, mainly physical therapy. I'm a sports addict, especially with hockey.
When and why did you decide to start writing fan fics? Did you have any sort of experience in writing before this?
I've always been a big writer from the get go. I loved writing papers a making up stories. I didn't get into the fan fiction thing until I discovered the Elijah forums which has been about 3 years or so. I do it because it's fun for me and lets me be creative and create life outside of the real world. It epecially helps when I'm stressed or have had a bad day.
Which stories have you written so far?
I've written a ton of stories. The fic I'm currently working on is 'Vampirism' which has to be my favorite I've ever done. I'm also a part of 'Lofters' now. Other things I've had are 'The Unspeakable', 'The Nerd', 'Beach House'... just to name a few.
What do you think joint fics?
Oh, I think they're great! They're a bit more difficult, obviously, because of being able to make things flow effectively but, they're fun. It's an excellent way of having people work together and come up with ideas to make one finished product.
What mostly inspires you?
Oh boy... I get inspiration from everywhere. I get inspired by music, books, movies, real-life situations that I see and even from all the fan fiction I read here. I won't be ashamed to say that 'Lost' often helps me get my motivation and ispiration going when I go to wite new chapters for 'Vampirism.'
What authors do you admire? (Real life and on this site)
In real life I really adore Robert Jordan. He's done fabulous work with a series called 'The Wheel of Time'. It's just amazing. Also, Tolkien and I really respect what J.K. Rowling has done with Harry Potter.
As for the board I think Ambrosia and Jaime Girl are just amazing writers of fan fiction. I also liked what KimiBloom did whan she was around. Sad she's not writing here now.
Writing
How would you describe your own style of writing?
Random. Heehee... I always want to try new ways of writing and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I like to think I have a unique writing style just like everyone else has their own style.
How big of a place does writing have in your life?
I think it has its fair share of a spot. I really do love writing and even though I'm not in the mood a lot of time or just don't have the motivation I don't think I could ever completely stop. I'm forever spotting things when I'm out and about and wondering what idea it would be to put that in a fic or something. I unconsciously think of it sometimes when I do that.
So would you want to be a proffesional writer?
Heck no! I don't have the patience for that. I don't think I'm that organized either. Writing is something I want to keep strictly or fun. I mean, if it was work than I wouldn't have that to do for play.
So you don't consider yourself an organized writer?
Nope. I'm a go with the flow, one chapter at a time writer. I only just started the outline thing with Lofters but, even that I only do one at a time as the story goes along. I sometimes keep notes but, not usually
The story
Do your characters set where the story is heading, or do you find characters that match the storyline you already have in your head?
I just wing it. I have some kind of an idea from the start who I'll need and how many but, my idea of how I want a story to go changes so many times as I'm writing that I may need a new character somewhere where I didn't think of before. So, I put characters in based on how my story goes.
What is your idea of the perfect story? What do you dislike reading most in a story?
Oh wow. That's a good question. I like to read well thought out stories. You can usually tell fromthe first chapter if a story has been thought out or not. I don't have a preference as to genres, however. I like romance, comedy, sci-fi... you name it.
I'm a walking contradiction aren't I?
No I get what you mean. As long as someone just really has given it some thought?!
yup.
Last but not least
Is there anything you would like to share with us, you think is important/ funny/ handy to know?
Don't eat yellow snow.
Thanks for your time Stacy....I really enjoyed interviewing you!

It was nice to read about your writing habits and the steps you take when you are going through a story. I agree that writing is such a fun, lighthearted distraction when you've had a bad day. *slaps high five*
