Here is our first winner! Congratulations Steph for being October's Member of The Month.

Who is Schmooie730: Schmooie is a college junior majoring in Early Childhood Education. I basically have no life, so I sit and go online a lot and talk to wonderful people! I’m fairly loud sometimes, especially with friends, and we come up with some crazy inside jokes. I LOVE watching movies of all kinds, especially when I’m with my friends. I listen to a lot of different types of music, and you will always find me singing along to the radio or a CD or singing to myself. But while I’m extroverted with friends, I’m very shy when it comes to meeting new people because I never know if they’ll like me, ad I’m scared to take chances like that.

How did you come up with your member name: My younger sister made it up! haha My sister likes to make up words and give them meanings. One day I got out of the shower and was brushing my hair and my sister goes “HEY SCHMOOKAKI!” and for some reason I answered. Ever since then, I was Schmookaki. Then a year or so later, my sister decided to shorten it to Schmooie. I’ve used that nickname ever since. The 730 is just my birthday!

How did you become an Elijah Wood fan: I really loved him in LOTR. I don’t remember seeing him in any other movies, but loved him as Frodo. I thought he did a perfect job with the character. When I started getting into online fandom stuff, I started to like Elijah, and not just Frodo.

How did you hear of EWAC: I was on another board and someone mentioned EWAC, so I clicked on a link and made myself at home! hehe

If Elijah knocked on your front door and asked to borrow a cup of milk what would you do: I’d probably be embarrassed because knowing me, I’d be in an overlarge pair of sweatpants, a baggy shirt, no make-up and messy hair. But I’d still give him a cup of milk, because I’m a nice person like that. Then, when he left, I’d curse myself for being a slob in front of Elijah Wood! haha

What is your:
Nickname: Steph, Stephi, Schmookaki, Schmooie, Semmi (I called myself that when I was little).
Birthday: July 30, 1985
Location: Hometown is Mount Prospect, IL, but for school I’m in River Forest, IL
Sign: Leo!

Favorites:
Color: Blue. But I really like pink lately too (as seen with my hair color)
Number: 12. Nice and even.
Book: Hmmm….lots…. Phantom of the Opera-Gaston Leroux, Phantom-Susan Kay, Outlander series-Diana Gabaldon, To Kill A Mockingbird-Harper Lee, The Jungle (can’t remember author), Romeo & Julier-Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream-Shakespeare, The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings series-J.R.R. Tolkien
Food: Pizza, mac and cheese, buttered noodles, cereal, and most breakfast foods!
Dessert: Oooohhhh…my mom’s chocolate cake! If not that, then ice cream. Preferably Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia, or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Drink (alcohol or non ): I won’t answer alcoholic since I’m not 21 yet, but I usually drink water, Strawberry Kiwi juice, or Sunkist pop
Elijah Movie: Definitely the LOTR movies.
Non-Elijah Movie: Ever After, Harry Potter, The Wizard of Oz, Remember the Titans, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of the Opera, Dear Frankie
TV Show: LOST! hehe

Maroon 5, John Mayer, Good Charlotte, Yellowcard, Norah Jones, Queen, Steve Miller Band, Journey, Anna Nalick, Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Green Day, Sarah McLachlan, Bon Jovi, The Who, U2, Michelle Branch, Michael Tolcher, Howie Day, Styx, Crosby Stills & Nash, and so many more!
Song: Right now it’s “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter.
Season: I love spring. Everything looks clean and fresh!
Actor: Love Gerard Butler. Not only is he good looking, but he’s an amazing actor. I also really like Elijah because he can do such diverse roles and amaze even the critics. Also love Will Ferrel, and Vince Vaugh!
Actress: I may get boo-ed for this, but I love Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts. Jennifer Aniston, too
Animal: Cats. I think they’re so adorable!
Car: I happen to love my baby, a 2004 Suzuki Forenza named Saki
Perfume: I LOVE Victoria’s Secret’s Sexy. It’s definitely a favorite!

If you could meet anyone that has ever existed dead or alive who would it be? (Besides Elijah ): I’d like to meet John Lennon. I love his music, and I think he had a lot of good ideas about peace and love.

If you could visit any country where would it be: France. I’ve always wanted to go there. I even took French in junior high and high school because I hoped to visit!

If you could have any profession what would it be: Besides what I’m actually going into? I’d love to perform on Broadway. Singing, acting, and dancing all in one!

If you could go back into any time period and change one thing what would it be: Hmmm………I’m not really sure! So many bad things happened that I would have loved to change! Maybe I’d go back in time and make it so Hitler was never born…that would be nice.

What has been your favorite vacation: So far, when my 3 friends and I went to Disney World after we graduated high school. THAT was hilarious!

What’s your most embarrassing moment: Oh wow….there are so many of those! Ummm…probably when I forgot the words to the first verse of the song I was singing at my voice recital.

What’s the craziest prank you’ve ever played: I don’t really play pranks, but my acting class pulled one on our teacher. There were only 7 of us in the class, and our teacher went backstage to get something and we all hid under the stage. We spent a half hour under there, because he couldn’t find us. It was fun until he said he was giving us all detentions.

What food combination do you like that you think other will not like: I like putting applesauce on my grilled cheese. Yes.

What would you do if you won the lottery: I’d buy whatever my parents and sister wanted, and then I’d buy things for my friends. I love buying presents!

Do you have anyone who inspires you: Lots of people inspire me, everyday. My parents for working hard to get me and my sister to college, my sister for working hard as well in school, my grandparents for being able to raise 5 kids and have them all turn out wonderfully, my friends for pulling through at tough times and showing me that I can get through it also. And the kids I work with inspire me to become the best teacher I can be.

Tell us a joke: Two fish were swimming and one swam into a wall. What did he say? DAM!

Two men walked into a bar, the third one ducked.

Lame, I know….I blame my dad.

Are there any fellow EWAC members you’d like to give a shout out to: BeeSting77, Ambrosia, and Blondie for being the great people that they are and encouraging me to keep doing what I love! You girls are the best!

Aw, Stacy, fabulous interview here! You came up with some awesomely creative questions, and I love the banner you made! *claps* Great job, lady!

And, Steph, I had so much fun reading this! I had a very big smile on my face the whole while. You know, we have a lot in common......I'm a leo, too, obviously, I love phantom of the opera, and pink! ahahaha!

The story of how you got your user name made me giggle. I love random nicknames like that. I had always wondered how you got your name, too!

Also, the story about all of ya'll hiding under the stage from the teacher cracked me up! I can just picture him walking around trying to find everyone, and all of you snickering beneath the floor. hahahaaha!

And, you know what? Your jokes made me laugh very hard, indeed. I love lil things like that.

Finally, *hugs* thanks for the kind acknowledgement. That was so sweet of you!!!! What a great interview! I really enjoyed this.

Yay! What an awesome idea!

Great interview Stacy. I loved the questions and the banner is pretty snazzy.

Steph, I must admit, I squealed a little bit when I saw the interview was with you. Secretly I was hoping you would get one of these interviews because I think you deserve it, you are such a loyal and kind friend/fan.

This was a very fun interview to read. I've always wondered where Schmooie came from, and now I know. I also found out that we have way more in common that I originally thought. I was reading along and just nodding my head going "yep, me too!"

And you know what, I know you are going to be a damn good teacher. From the stories in your journal and talking with you here and there, I know that you are an amazingly kind and caring person and you cherish the kids you work with. If I ever have kids down the line, you are the kind of teacher I would want them to have. ^_^

Awwwww....*gigantor hugs* Thanks so much for the shoutout. You are too sweet.
