Hey, I'm Sherolyn. I'm generally just writing this because I used to be such an obsessed fan of Elijah's and always on boards like EWFN and I was just wondering how many of those folks from there are like, still here. I dunno I just realised how much I've lost touch with everyone! I don't really speak to anyone here and it's a shame. I only seem to hang around the fanfiction section. So i was just wondering what everyone's really up to.

I'm not doing much that would really be of interest, I'm 16, still in school and it all just seems to be exams and essays etc. I thought it would be nice to have a break from it all and catch up with everyone (however cheesy that sounds) :yes:

I'm pretty varied with my music taste as I love bands like the Foos, Tenacious D and also the Backstreet Boys (who I'm going to see in October! woohoo!) It's a mix I suppose.

Oh yeah I live in Scotland if that's of any interest (Billy! yeah!)

So yeah, I just want to hear from you all anyway and find out where the 'cool' place for hanging out on the board is. Haha. Sheesh, I seem way too old for my time. Ah! Saying stuff like that doesn't help.

I know this sounds kind of weird and possibly insulting but does anyone talk about Elijah anymore? I know that I'm personally not as big a fan as I used to be but no one really seems to mention him these days.

I remember when I used to be a really intense fan of Elijah and LOTR, I used to be on EWFN too ^_^ I originally started out in the chatroom and gradually progressed to the fanfiction section. I'm not such a big fan of Elijah anymore, I'm still a fan... just not so intense. hehe

Guh, I'm 16 too and yeah, I'm just really beginning school right now, I haven't even been in for a month yet but I miss my summer already. And I just dropped Physics to be replaced with a spare period which I'm totally excited about! No more sciences! YAY! lol, no offence meant if you're someone who really enjoys science but yeah, they were definitely not something I enjoyed doing.

I haven't heard of the Foos or Tenacious D... but I have heard of the Backstreet Boys, although that's not exactly impressive because practically the whole world as at least heard of them. They were here in my city, Toronto, for these music award things... I didn't go to it, but my friend did and when she saw them she started crying... she's pretty star-crazy like that lol. I think my favourite of the group is Brian.

It's so cool that you live in Scotland! I'm going there for a little while in March for a school trip. I think we only go to Glasgow and Edinburgh though, because we're also going to England and France. I don't know, if there's any tips for interacting with people in Scotland I'd be thankful to hear them lol.

Yeah I hate sciences, I'm so happy that after 4 years of pure torture, you can just drop it, the same with Maths too! However the work is so much more harder this year and it's just 'blah!' You're just goin back now? Lucky, we've been back...well let's just say for too long. I need another holiday but we have a 2 week one coming up in 2 weeks. Ha, weird.

Oh my goodness, you've never heard of the Foo Fighters? The frontman of Tenacious D is Jack Black, you know the actor from films like Orange County, The School of Rock, Shallow Hal etc? I've never heard of Brain maybe I'll go research them on google or something.

You're going to Scotland, cool. Erm, well if you're going to Glasgow that should be a laugh. I hope you meet someone who's just pure Glasweigen, even I can't understand some of the stuff they say, their acccent's just way too strong. Edinburgh's nice, the accent's sooo much better. Erm...you want tips...ok..well I suppose just don't be patronising and say something like 'haggis' and find it hilarious. Lol. I dunno it's just not funny here. K I don't know what to tell you. I know my top tip, bring a raincoat.

Yeah I went onto EWFN and it's like back! It mentioned something about shutting down but I just remember everyone suddenly leaving and coming here. I really posted this topic because I wasn't sure if everyone had packed up and moved on again. Ha, shame.

many moons ago I used to be on EWFN. My obsession has also died a bit, but I still admire him just your right nobody really talks about him.

I'm Anneka I'm 18. I dont think we ever really met on EWFN and I'm doing a biochem and medicinal chem degree at the mo live in England near london not now because I've moved but hey. So hello this is a great idea.

Umm play musical instruments piano viola and sing, like drama films and more extreme sports like canoeing or kayaking think thats it.

So your degrees sound interesting, I take if you want to do something in chemistry then. Oooo canoeing, I'd want to do it more often but it's not really that common around here which sucks.

Yeah I think it would be weird but also very cool to get everyone that used to be on EWFN to reply on this topic and just say what they're doing. Hell, I must have been 13 when I was on that board and so much has changed in 3 years! It would just be interesting.

Yeah you're right I want to do something with Chemistry. At the mo it's wanting to do drug research but there is a pathway into medicine, being a anetist science journalism and of course teaching its very open. So we'll see.

Canoeing/ kayaking is so much fun I love it> It would be kewl if people post here, i'll ask some friends I have that were also on EWFN should be fun.

That's pretty cool, it means you can look around and see what you wanna do. And if you end up doing something that you're like :yeahright: about then you could change. Hm.

Well I've only been canoeing a couple of times, but the times I did go it was good. I had bad experiences in a kayak though...*shudders to remember*

Just dropping a little note.
Awesome idea for a topic. Should be very nice to hear wat everyone is up to.

I started on ewfn to...a long time ago. It was the first board I ever visited and my first steps on the path of fandom...and I haven't really left ever since that day. Elijah was the one who drew me to the internet and though my...uhm what shall I call it.....fangirlish squeeling isn't that big anymore as it used to be...I still admire him a great deal. Besides I have to be thankful to the guy.....I met many great friends through fandom and the boards *smiles*
I still have the same screen name as I had on ewfn....I am pretty attached to it. But things certainly have changed since I first visited that place.

Though I am glad I am not on ewfn anymore....that board became pretty uuurgh after some time. But hey that is just a personal oppinion.


Oh and about that cool place to hang out...well I figure there are many cool places to hang out. But I guess the lads section is the place to be. Most activity and all that....but maybe you give the chatroom a try. If more people visited...it could become pretty nice there.

I was watching the trilogy the other day and fair enough I wasn't drooling away, but I was impressed with his acting technique. Same here, he was the first guy I can honestly say I was absolutely obsessed with! I've liked other guys since but *sigh* none of them have been like the first :tsk:
