Well, I've been here for a really long time...but I haven't really done more than posted sporadically in a very long time.
I'd like to try to get involved here again...I've been missing this place.

I thought a new thread to introduce myself was in order. I don't think many of the people talked to most often still really frequent the board, and anyway...I've changed quite a bit since I began here. Matured, perhaps...though possibly not much.

Anyway, who am I exactly? I'm Sarah, and you can call me that if you like. The Sarah, Sharah, Sarah Effing, or any combination of those is acceptable.
I'm 16 years old, and I live in a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania -- a town which I pretty much gaurentee you've never heard of...unless it was from me. I maintain that I belong in Chicago, Illinois, but my family...does not humor me (surprise, surprise) so I am stuck in good old Cooperstown for at least two more years.
Music is my life, as cliche as that sounds these days. I won't even begin to list bands, or even genres here - my tastes are a bit eclectic (though I dislike pretty much all rap and country music), and very wide. My favorite band of all time, though, is Kill Hannah - they are a group of incredibly talented and lovely men from Chicago. (There, now I've said my piece, done advertising....lol)
I haven't written anything (except a few poems) in a very long time...maybe I'll get back to it sometime...who knows.

Umm...I really can't think of any other way to describe myself. You should get to know me and see for yourself. I like talking to people, so start up a conversation. :)

I think I read some of your poems they are really good. Welcome back. I hope to see ya around and get to know you better I'm not sure what else to say. Just a question do you play any instruments? It's just I love music to but I play rather than listen, half the time I don't know who sings the song even if I'm singing along to them. :unsure:

In answer to your question - I don't really play any instruments at the moment. I have 2 guitars (acoustic and electric) but I can't play them very well...at all. I'm learning, though. Very slowly. I used to be rather good at flute and piano, but...I'm way out of practice.
I guess I prefer listening to music...because I am significantly better at that. But I absolutely love anyone who can play well.

Well as I tell my piano students practice makes perfect they don't believe but then again I didn't listen to my piano teacher and had to learn the hard way by failing one of my exams but if you keep working at it it'll come learning an instrument takes time unfortunetly it be so much better if it happened over night.

I know practice helps...it's just getting around to doing it that's the hard part. I am going to commit myself to learning guitar and getting back to piano/keyboard/synth eventually...as I have a strange desire to be in a band...and I can't sing. XD I just don't know when this commitment is going to happen.

Well only beginers. Well comitment is a hrad thing, to do. I remember so clearly when I started Piano I didn't practice much so I guess it's only natural.
