Hello board members!

The EWAC moderating team feels the point in time has come when there needs to be some changes on the board. We want to include new aspects, new interests, and add them to our community. We don't want to just be a Lord of the Rings centric board, anymore, we'd like some diversity.

So, the question is, what would you members enjoy seeing? Let us know what interests you...what you like, and what you don't like about the board. Suggestions are very much welcome, as we want this to be a place of enjoyment for you!
All of your suggestions will be gathered in a poll in the Comment section, so it is very important that you all feel free to let us know the new shape you want this place to get.

Feedback is so important, without it, we will not know what directions you would like us to move in. So, please take the time to speak your mind. We would appreciate it so much!

Ok some comments from me. I personaly would still like it to be focused on Elijah and the Lord of the ring lads, but maybe we could focus more on what they are doing now and have biographies and galleries, filmography and up to date news that gets edited or put into an archive.

It would be great if we could develop the media center, just have news and disscussions on books etc.

Also focusing on the writing. We ages ago had reviewers and a place where the new fic of the month were summerised, if we could set up that again I think it be great. Also having tips about writing, I think that'll be good.

Also could we have more stuff in the members only forum I'm not sure what, I'll ponder on it.

Thats my idea's for the moment. I'll be back.

I still need to put more thought into this, but this came to mind right away.

I would like to see the board become more interactive for the members. More things that make people come to the board more often. For example:

- I love the idea of the short story contest. Maybe we can do this on a scheduled interval. Like a new challenge every month. Or every other if it is too time consuming for the mods.

- Banner contests for those more artistically inclined

- I know that "Interview with an Author" is in the works, but what if we did something like an interview/get to know fan of the month. You know, where we would pick one member and let them be interviewed by all the rest of the members. They used to do this at another board I am a member of. Basically a member was chosen and they were in the "hot seat", they were asked a set group of questions and then the thread was open to all members to ask any and all sorts of questions to the member of the month. It is just a way for people of the board to get to know each other. Just an idea.

- A book club? One book is chosen for the month and then someone leads a discussion of it. *sorry, I'm a total nerd, I love book clubs* -_-

Well, that is all I can think of right now. If I have more ideas, I will bring them up.

Hello, everyone! I posted this in the August Short Story Contest Winner thread, but I shall post it here, as well.

I really want to have more interactive things on the board, and the contest submissions were a success. However, voting participation was less than great, and I'm wondering if enough of you are interested in having either:

a banner contest

or

a Halloween short story contest.

Please, I'd love some feedback....a PM, post here, it doesn't matter.

I definitely love both but erm, if I had to choose I'd go with the Halloween short story contest. Or erm... Halloween themed banners to go with the Halloween short stories? I dunno, but I really loved the August Short Story contest ^_^
