Title: Ewan McGregor
Description: Hottie and Jedi Extra-drool-ordinaire
Cat - August 9, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)
I think this topic is a little overdue but yeeesss....
I have this problem where whenever I stumble across any piccy of Ewan I save it so I have like... yeah... I think close to a hundred... which I collected all very recently (like, this week). I wonder if anyone has the same problem? hehe
Anyways here are some favourites of mine...
Ewan_BannerAt the island premiere Yeah, this is just hot Shexy Kiltness He's laughing! Awwww... lol Shhh... I'm sleeping Mmmm this is good cake! That's all for now :) And um, yeah, if you have a fan fiction with Ewan in it I'd lurrrrve to read it :):)
And yeah, I got a lot of those pictures from ewanmcgregor.net it's a really great Ewan site, I'd recommend it to anybody ^_^
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 01:16 PM (GMT)
I never really liked Ewan McGregor until just recently (I sat and watched Star Wars...all I have to say is HOT)...But looking at the picture with the kilt, makes me wonder if he is a true Scot and doesn't wear anything underneith *ponders*

I've always liked him, but when I saw the Island I just fell totally head over heels for him hehehe. I really like your signature! That's one of my favourite quotes :) I like a lot of his lines from the third movie. Mostly from the beginning because the ending is depressing.
Lol, if I knew that, it would make my day hehe.
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 08:32 PM (GMT)
I haven't seen that yet, i'm not really a big fan of movies.
Thank you, It's one of my favorites too, a lot of his lines in Epi I were really good, more sarcastic and witty than anything lol.
I think it would make my day too...We can dream though ^_^
Cat - August 21, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
I see way too many of them for my own good hehe. It got pretty bad reviews, but I really liked it.
Yeah, I loved his lines in Epi I.. like when Anakin comes on board for the first time he's like 'Why do I get the feeling you've taken in another pathetic life form?' or something like that. Ehehe. I loved that.
Ehehehe, yes. Yes we can. ;)
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 10:06 PM (GMT)
I'll probably watch it, my sister is a movie-maniac and tries to make me watch them...Maybe when she asks me to watch that one i'll actually say yes lol.
I loved that line, although there were tonnes of great quotes in that movie. I honestly couldn't pick the best lol.
*starts day-dreaming*
Cat - August 21, 2005 10:12 PM (GMT)
lol, you should :) It's got a lot of very sexy Ewan moments in it ^_^
For me that's the best because it was the one I could remember lol. I'm sure there's a better one. Did you watch the special feature where it showed Ewan practicing swordfighting and stuff? It's so crazy fast! Even if I knew what was coming I don't think I'd beable to fight at that speed, I'd die hehe.
My friend actually found Moulin Rouge boring. I couldn't believe it. I love that movie. Have you seen it?
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
Sexy Ewan moments? *Runs off to see if we have it on DVD* lol
No, I haven't seen the special featurs disc, I brought mine back from Afganistan so it wasn't on there (unfortunatly) but the amount of movies we have in this house is unbelievable so it'll probably be around somewhere *rolls eyes* hehe. Ewan swordfighting *imagines*
A group of us went to see Moulin Rouge when it was at the thatre but I had a hangover and fell asleep after about the first ten minutes...Apparently I didn't miss anything good though
Cat - August 21, 2005 10:36 PM (GMT)
Ehehe *sigh* it's not out on DVD yet  I wish it was though. They actually might pull it from theatres and stop the DVD release. There's some lawsuit going on against Warner Bros. about plagerism or something. I really hope it's just speculation... I waaaannnnttt that movie!! lol
lol, yeah, I only have Phantom Menace on VHS, because I was like 9 when it came out so my sister bought it. But my friend has it on DVD so I got to see the extra Ewaness ^_^
I love Moulin Rouge - but I'm a sucker for that kind of love-at-first-sight plotline stuff. And Ewan singing. That's so hot. The Duke is an annoying part of the movie... lol, it probably is better that you fell asleep.
Oh yeah, and right now he's filming 'Scenes of a Sexual Nature' does that not sound hot or what? lol, I think it might be a bit like Love Actually.... er, which I'm guessing you haven't seen? hehe
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 10:40 PM (GMT)
Oh no...They need to get that sorted out pretty soon...I wanna see it lol
I have the first 4 that were relesed and I still haven't watched them all yet, I will one day though hehe.
I actually like love/romance things...as long as they have a little angst in them.
I have seen that one :P...I decided to watch it because EVERYBODY over here (England) was talking about it so I thought...If almost everyone is talking about it then it might be quite good...It was okay I guess, could have been better but Hugh Grant was hilerious in it lol.
Cat - August 21, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
Me too!!... well, again.. because I've already seen it... hehe
Ugh. You're so lucky. When we moved we lost like all our movies so I used to own episodes 4-6 but they've VANISHED. Not that it's THAT important... they don't have Ewan in them... ehehehhe.
Then you definitely have to see Moulin Rouge. It's got a TON of angst.. you just have to be patient for it lol.
Hooray! lol, yeah, I liked Hugh Grants part too. I haven't seen it since it first came out, but I remember a bunch of his funny parts ^_^ Apparently Ewan is gay in this new one so that should be fun hehe
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 10:59 PM (GMT)
I'm not really too bothered about seeing the ones without Ewan in them to be honest lmao.
If we don't have it i'll rent it from blockbuster and patiently wait for angst lol...If I find it boring then i'll blame you :P
'Scenes of a Sexual Nature' *blinks* *fans self* Now that i HAVE to see lol...*Lets my imagination run wild*
Hugh Grant is a great actor...The comedy isn't forced either, it always seems completely natural...He was really good in Bridget Jones too...If you haven't seen that then you should, it's really funny...and the 'fight' scene in the second one is hilerious....
Gay you say? *raises brow* That should be interesting lol
Cat - August 21, 2005 11:07 PM (GMT)
lol, yeah totally. And the other one totally bombed as well so it's like "Alright people... who wants to take credit for the crappy movie here?" Except that it's NOT crappy, critics are just stupid.
lol, but I don't understand how anyone can find it boring!!! It's all like flashy and lovey dovey and angsty, and with Ewan in the mix, well... you've got yourself the best movie of all time!!!
I saw Bridget Jones! Ehehe, Yeah the fight scene was funny. I think I liked the first one better in whole though. Although it was funny when she was in the foreign prison. And Mark got her out... aww... that was so sweet... sorry. hehe.
*nods* Very. And in one of the scenes he was wearing a very cool shirt. I mean, obviously I wouldn't've minded him without the shirt... no shirt at all... but it was very funky shirt. And I kind of want it. With him in it. If possible... :D
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 11:13 PM (GMT)
I make a point of just ignoring everything the critics say as they are usually wrong lol.
I do suppose i've got to agree with you there...Although isn't any movie with Ewan in it a good movie, even if the plot and the script suck its still a good movie because you can just ignore all of that and drool over Ewan hehe.
I didn't like Mark...He was a jerk lol
Oaky, I officaly think you are trying to kill me...Ewan with nothing under his kilt, and now Ewan without any shirt....Totally drool-worthy.
Cat - August 21, 2005 11:23 PM (GMT)
lol, I think I'll do the same now. Not that any critic would ever stop me from seeing a Ewan movie!
That's totally true. And sometimes, Ewan even makes the script and the plot look good just because he's that hot... and talented!... As an actor. Of course.
Ehehehe, no. he really is an amazing actor. At least I think so. Not just a pretty face with a scottish accent... although that helps. A lot.
lol, as appossed to Hugh? They both had jerk moments hehe. But I thought Mark made up for most of his...
Ehehe, you ever seen Down With Love? Ewan in nothing but a towel... dancing... I die everytime.
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 11:27 PM (GMT)
He is a great actor, like you said. The face and the accent helps a lot but he definatly has a lot to offer as an actor too.
They both had jerk moments but Hugh was so much funnier (at least I think so)...and he just seemed to find everything funny and make the most serious of moments appear as funny that it was hard to 'stay mad at him' in a sense...
I have...I think I stated having a heart attack rofl...Sooo sexy
Cat - August 21, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
Hmmm... yeah. That's true. Like with the bunny costume. He was good about that wasn't he? Guh. It's all a little fuzzy lol. I dunno, I think I liked Mark better because he didn't cheat. Eheheh, but Hugh was funny about the granny-panties.
I found an avatar that plays that scene! But then I also found the one I have now and I was like 'my god! Which do I choose!?' it was quite the dilemma. But I figure I'll save the Down with Love one for when I'm having a really miserable day so I can like cheer myself up by being all 'I have the BEST Ewan avatar EVER.'
Yeah. I know it's weird. lol.
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 11:39 PM (GMT)
The granny panties! I had completely forgotten until that just then. That was hilerious, if that happened to me I think I would want to die...so embarrasing lol.
I love your current avatar, I wanna go and watch Star Wars now lol...But I do want to see that other one, with the scene from down with love.
It's not wierd, it's just...a way to cheer yourself up lol
Cat - August 21, 2005 11:48 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I 'd definitely die. Or I'd knock the guy unconcious and then leave the country.
It's not the full scene sadly, like with the bongos and the marachas and stuff, but yes, there is dancey. lol, I'll change it, and then I'll change it back so you can see it :) I still have to save it hehe. And I'm in love with your banner! I saw that episode of Jay Leno! Ehehehe, they had a water fight!!! Did you see it? Did you make that banner? Guh. It's so hot. And cute... because he's laughing... so I'm like awww *melt* lol.
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 11:51 PM (GMT)
Thats actually a good idea, or you could always knock him unconcious and make him leave the country (without his pasport so he can't get back lol)
No, I didn't see that, I don't think it was aired here in the UK (sadly) and neither did I make it...my banner making skills are not that great lol. My friend Jane made it for me :P...I adore it, he looks so cute hehe
Frankee_14 - August 21, 2005 11:52 PM (GMT)
omg, that avatar is great *watches it and laughs*
Cat - August 21, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
lol, I know! I feel so stupid when I watch it because I just giggle the whole time. But i don't feel stupid enough to stop looking at it ehehe.
Which would probably benefit me better. I wouldn't have to leave my country then! lol
Yeah, I know what you mean, my banner making skills suck lol. I have a link that shows the Jay Leno episode  I'm just THAT obsessed ehehe.
http://www.ewanmcgregor.net/tvclips.php <---- so that'll take you to the page and it's under 'talk shows' it's the first Jay Leno episode you see. They have two others of him being on Jay Leno and one's sooo funny because he tells this story of when he was lit on fire by a ghost.
lol, and in my defense for all of this it's summer break. I've had a LOT of time on my hands to find all this stuff and watch it and everything... hehehe
Frankee_14 - August 22, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
Oh, thank you :P...I downloaded it earlier but I can't watch it yet so i'll watch it when my sister leaves for work haha...
No need to defend yourself, summer break is there for you to obsess about sexy men with Scottish accents...Or was that only for me?
lit on fire by a ghost!? *Raises brow* *blinks* I did read that right...yes?
Cat - August 22, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
lol, no, that's totally what summer is about. That and sleeping. hehe
lol, yes. You read that right :) It's such a hilarious story. The way he tells it is very good.:D
Frankee_14 - August 23, 2005 09:04 AM (GMT)
I thought so lol...But I never used to sleep, I'd party all summer lmao.
Oh god, *shakes head* I need to here that story *Runs off to find it*
Cat - August 27, 2005 06:53 PM (GMT)
All my friends are out of the country or like at the other end of it or working constantly :( gwar. I wish I could party though.
lol, did you find it?
I watched trainspotting!! YAY!! I'd been wanting to see it for so long. It's kind of like the scottish version of fear and loathing in las vegas... except not really because the plots are totally different but yesssss.... I like fear and loathing in las vegas. It's a good movie.
Frankee_14 - August 28, 2005 06:18 PM (GMT)
Yes, I found it...Still haven't watched it but I found it and it is now stored on my computer...eagerly awaiting to be watched lol.
I haven't seen either of those movies *le sigh* I really should make more of an effort to watch movies *makes a mental note*
Frankee_14 - August 28, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
Oh...and I just have to add...I adore your new avvie *laughs* Even more than the Obi-Wan avvie :P
Cat - August 28, 2005 08:17 PM (GMT)
Ehehe, you have to tell me what you think of it after you've watched it :) Oh, and you have to tell me what you think of his hair! Because I like it, but it makes me laugh.
Ah!! Yes! You definitely have to watch them! Not necessarily Trainspotting, although you probably will for Ewan (I thought it was really well done too but yes... mm... Ewaness... lol), but Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is very important. It's like... the Johnny Depp movie of all Johnny Depp movies. Plus it's absolutely hilarious. I'd quote things from it, but it's just not the same. The way he says the lines and acts them... think modern day Jack Sparrow, but like a thousand times quirkier.
*sigh* If only I could get paid for being such a movie fanatic. I'd be so rich right now.
Yay! Thanks. I didn't make it, and I can't remember where I found it but it took sooo long to find. Well actually, I stumbled upon it, but I was stumbling for a long time. The moving part is from an interview on Parkinson (some kind of talk show) and he was talking about Valiant. And the dude asked a question if the pigeon he plays has a mate and if anything happens and Ewan was like 'No. But that's be funny to do' and then he like makes this pigeon noise - which he's doing in the moving bit.
So yeah, it was hilarious. And that was my long-winded explanation of my avatar lol.
the1ringrulesdaworld - September 10, 2005 03:14 PM (GMT)
Ok because I have to get this off my chest I thought here would be the best place to do it.
I saw Ewan last night in guys and dolls
And I must say he was really good. One bit of his singing was like out of Moulin Rougue le sigh but really really gd. And he spoke in this southern american accent and it was brilliant as he sang in it as well and he danced well too. Really good show if your in London go see it. Though his hair slicked back and makes him look slightly funny. The only problem was no cast signings at the stage door. *pouts* But really he was fantastic considering he mainly does movies
Cat - September 11, 2005 10:36 PM (GMT)
OMG! I am SO jealous!! GAR!! I WANT TO SEE GUYS AND DOLLS!! STUPID CANADA!! ENGLAND IS SO MUCH COOLER!! GWAR!!!
He does do cast signings at the stage door sometimes though and apparenty going at 9pm is like the good time to go for and yeaahh... so if your in London again or if you live there you should definitely check it out again if you have nothing else to do or if you're in the area.
 Do you think there's any chance of them releasing a recorded soundtrack or something?
Cat - September 11, 2005 10:57 PM (GMT)
Oops. I just found out two seconds ago that the theatre apparently doesn't want Ewan signing autographs at the stage door because of the bombings that happened in London. :( But if you write to the theatre, tell them how much you enjoyed the play, and ask for his autograph you should get it in a couple of weeks... if you're interested that is.
I'm so sad that he's like stopping in December :( because I'm probably going to London in March so it would've been so cool to have like seen him in the play or at least gone to the stage door thingy. *sigh*
the1ringrulesdaworld - September 12, 2005 04:24 PM (GMT)
I'm not that big a fan it would have been great to have you know got an autograph but to meet him would be better. I hope there will be a cast recording that would be kewl. It sucks when you live far away. *Huggles*
glo316 - June 14, 2006 08:45 AM (GMT)
ewan is great - love the movies; star wars, the island, moulin rouge... there's something so attractive about him
i saw him on 'top gear' the other week!
