Pronounced "Yo-han Griffith" (I believe), I have been a fans of his since I saw "Horatio Hornblower" on A&E...he is also in the new "Fantastic Four" movie, which I have not seen (not really too interested in comic books), but would see just to support him.

Has anyone else seen any of his work? ^_^

I have! I've seen him in the comedy Very Annie-Mary. He plays a homosexual store co-owner with Matthew Rhys as his associate and lover (that's how it seemed to me anyway). In real life they happen to be best friends. I think this movie demonstrates how much talent this handsome dude has... and not to mention sex-appeal (rawr!)

It's mainly about Annie-Mary (Rachel Griffiths), a 30-something woman living in a small Welsh village who's child-like searching for her independance even though she is held back by her self-centered widowed father. It's a precious little jem.

P.S. : Ioan Gruffudd is SEXY!!!!

The FAAAAAAAAAAAAR spunkier role he was in was Lancellot in King Arthur. He was also cannon fodder in movies such as Black Hawk Down, he was in Wilde, and no end of TV costume dramas, such as Great Expectations and the Forsythe Saga. Here's an interesting little bit of trivia for you, he curled his eyelashes for the role of Lancellot to look more effeminate, however someone caught him doing it, and he was forever bagged out as "Sir Lashalott". Lancellot was orginally going to be in a kilt, but he looked too much like a girl.
Here are some sexy sexy pics. I use his pictures to represent Toby, a character in one of my stories CE, hense the knowing and loving, that and he's a spunkrat.

Yeah, I liked him in King Arthur too - I didn't know that he curled his lashes - that's hilarious.
I'll have to see Very Annie-Mary.
He was also in Titanic - he was Lighttoller I think. ^_^

How could I forget about King Arthur??! I do like the theater version but the director's cut is much better. Another anectode about Ioan : it took him months to grow the beard but it kept growing red and he had to dye it black everyday to match his har.... not very funny but interesting fact...

And how Guinuvere choose Arthur over Lancelot is beyond me (even though Clive Owen is good-looking).

P.S. : In Very Annie-Mary, you would never make the connection between his character and any other role he's taken on, that's how good of an actor he is.
