Please don't kill me! I know alot of people who don't like this pairing, but, meh... :neene:
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters, they belong to JK Rowling... I actually don't own anything except this short story, but the plot of everthing else belongs to Rowling. I wouldn't steal anything. So you better not.
There will be very mild slash, PG-13, as I said, mild...
This is not great writing, so constructive criticism is fine
This is a one-shot by the way...
This takes place after a full moon, whilst the Marauders are still at school.
About halfway through it switches POVs, just giving you a heads up...
A Kiss Returned
“Holy shit!” I wake to a familiar face hovering over me, those piercing brown eyes staring down at me.
“Sorry Remus,” Sirius apologises and backs off a little. “How are you feeling?” What do I say to that? Do I tell him the truth and have him worrying about me all day or do I lie? “Don’t even think about lying to me Moony.” I smiled slightly hearing my nickname but my smile faded when I remembered last night.
“I’m fine…honestly,” I attempt to sit up and pain shoots through my body. I wince with the pain and he raises his eyebrows sceptically. “You win, I feel awful,” I mumble, defeated, my head falling back onto the pillow.
“Knew it,” he says and he sits down on the bed, “You should really go back to sleep, you need it.” I give a slight nod and then sigh. I push the covers away slightly and glance down over myself; I’m wearing my pyjamas, which I don’t remember putting on. I look up at Sirius questioningly.
“You came in pretty bad this morning, I felt I should help you out since I couldn’t be with you last night like I would usually have… I’m sorry for not being there. I-”
“Don’t worry about it Padfoot,” I cut him off. “I saw you were in no state to join me. I completely understand.”
“But I could have come with you… Maybe then you wouldn’t have got hurt this badly.” I smiled up at him, he was so beautiful. I could stare into those eyes all day; the way he did the simplest tasks had me in awe.
“It doesn’t matter… I’m not hurt that bad anyway.”
Sirius raises his eyebrows again and says, “So, you’re telling me there’s no stinging or stabbing pain near your stomach?”
“Maybe a little,” I answer and scan his face. I tear my gaze away from him for a couple of seconds and look down at myself again. With shaking hands I lift my shirt just high enough to see a bandage covering me, I glance under it. There are three deep gashes in my skin and several small ones. I wince and pull my shirt down.
“I hate this,” I say and let out a sigh. I pull the covers back up and bite my lip as my arms ache even more.
“I hate seeing you like this.” He says and he puts his hand over mine. I freeze at his touch, not quite sure how to react.

Remus remains perfectly still, his gaze locked with mine. I try to take my hand away but it stays firmly planted on top on top of his. He closes his eyes and doesn’t move. What was going through his mind? Did he want this as much as me? Was this going to ruin our friendship? I decided to take my chances. I leant forward and pressed a soft kiss on his lips. I pulled back slightly but kept my face still close.
His eyes flew open and he looked at me, his eyes falling on my mouth and then up to meet my stare. I went forward again and caught his bottom lip between mine. I ran my tongue over is slowly and pushed my tongue inside. My tongue comes in contact with his and I wait.
Remus did not kiss me back. Feeling foolish, I started to pull away, but I’m stopped by a hand pressing against my back weakly. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited for that,” he says sounding out of breath. I smile at him and lean in yet again.
This time my kiss was returned, but my concern for my friend grew.
