I've come to like Johnny Depp after 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and he's really brilliant! I've gone on to watch 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' and 'Sleepy Hollow'. It's really horrifying how amazingly outstanding Johnny Depp's performance was in these two not-so-amazing movies! (no offence)

I'm wondering about whether 'From Hell' would make a good movie to watch for Johnny Depp. I adore the cover of the video but I'm afraid it wouldn't make for a good JD movie...

Anything anyone want to add?

I knew Johnny Depp was a great *cough*andhot*cough* actor before PotC, but still, it kinda lead to mini-obsession... :P
I wanted to see Once Upon A Time In Mexico but, as it often happens to me, it was out of theaters before I could get myself to watch it :(.
However I did see Sleepy Hollow (video <_< ) and I loved him there. He's a great actor and... Dunno. :P!

I was actually never really into him *lol* and I am not...
though I completely adore his character Jack Sparrow :)

But if you want to see a cool movie with him I could highly recommend "The ninth gate" which I found extremely scary and amazing :)

Ok. I've known Johnny as an actor for a fairly long time. He's one of my fave actors for about 5-6 years or so. I've seen him in many movies, but I think that cap'n Sparrow is his best role. Then goes Edward Scissorhands and Ichabod Crane. 'Edward' and 'Hollow' are the movies to watch, that's true. Btw they're of the same director. And the 'Ninth Gate'. I thought it was a good work of Johnny's... creepy ending... but on the whole... not the best thing I've seen ^_^

Oh my God I just love that man's acting! He is *so* good! I really love him in Sleepy Hollow and Potc and of course he's got this completely gorgeous coughkissingscenecough - accent in From Hell. You should see it girl, it's a good movie!

Anyway, I love it that he doesn't mind playing less.. I don't know.. sane characters. He always does different sort of things, experiments, yeah I like that :)

And of course he's absolutely beautiful ;)

I love it to death....it is so fabulistic. It is one off the most impressive movies I have seen by him...and I must admit I have seen lots off movies with Johnny. Since I have been a fan off him for a very long time now. His choice in movies is outstanding. He never goes for the big blockbusters, the commercial things usually. He adores the movies where he can play a geek, a weirdo. I am sure everyone can recall edward scissorhands. Where he acts in a superb way....though it always made me cry.

The ninith gate is extremly suspensefull and has a high load off psychology in it to. And my one scene is very steamy *blushes violently*

If you want to know some other movies with him I do suggest:
Benny & Joon, hilariously funny and very sweet.

The Brave was so touching and just wonderful. :cry: It was directed by Johnny and his brother. People should see it.

I liked the role he portrayed in edward scissorhands. Hes a really talented actor and the roles he plays are so different from each other. Many actors fail to pull that kind of stunt off, but he makes it work. And....hes forty and he stills looks good!

Well Peiyu, nobody's going to shoot you, but I gotta say that I watched Don Juan yesterday and GAHHHHHH... it's an absolutely stunning movie. Really! :drool: Gosh, I wish I could watch it without the translation. There's an unbelievable Spanish accent of Johnny's!!! :love: Fantastic film. I fell in love with one phrase (I don't remember it exactly, but it's something like this):
