The Mysterious Death Of An Icon
I'm still reading this book and I find it's so hard to put it down when I have to, it's like, one more page wouldn't hurt. Then I've read the next chapter. Lol.
Buying this was a good idea as I've learnt things about him that I never knew before.
Here is just an example from the book.
The start of chapter 3:
| QUOTE |
| Kurt had mixed feelings about his new hometown. On the one hand, it was much more exciting than Aberdeen, with something to do almost every night and a thriving music scene. But Kurt kind of missed the rednecks and the feeling that he was different. In Olympa, his brand of angry rebel was a dime a dozen. |
I still have to read on and find out what Ian Halperin and Max Wallace's theory is. I recomend this book to any fan of Nirvana or Kurt. And anyone who has ever had doubts about his 'suicide'.
Rock On!
Nirvana Lives On!

I'd be really interested in finding out their theory, as many people stated (but only as a rumor) that his wife had something to do with the whole affair.
Probably it's just another theory, as I do think that Kurt was really 'eaten alive' by the ghost of depression.
But, Louise, keeps us updated as you proceed farther in your reading.

I'm my personal opinion, I think his death should be left at that. It's been longer than a decade, theres no reason to go digging around now. And Courtney Love has her own problems with the court and her daughter, Frances. This is the last thing she needs.

I agree. It should be left but there is the temptation of finding the 'truth'. Ian Halperin and Max Wallace's opinion on his death might not be accurate but I'm still interested to find out what they think.
And I don't think I'll be updating you... You'll just have to buy it or just believe what you want to believe. :tom: But I will tell you, so far, the way they tell the story is good. But I'm not sure how accurate it is. I have my theories that I would like to belive and everyone else has their own. Kurt Kobain is as a legend that will never be forgotten.
Much Love,
Louise.

I've never read the book, but in english calss we watched a documentary called 'Kurt and Courtney' it's pretty good... and pretty weird too. Courtney's father wrote some books about Kurt's death but, yeah, he obviously didn't write the one you're reading (or maybe have read by now...) so I don't really know why I brought that up lol.
R.I.P Kurt... I hope he's having a good after-life at least :)

That book is incredible. It convinced me entirely that Courtney behind Kurt's death. I do not think that the whole thing should be "left alone", because she got away with it. No one should get away with something like that.
