yes you! Right you that contribute to augment the number of views on many fictions on this site. This letter is addressed to you, that tend to spend lots of time reading but never find a minute to leave a trace of life on the thread hosting your favourite stories.
We know that there are many of you reading fictions but never leaving a reply; we see the hundreds of hits on many of the fictions hosted by this site and we would be very much obliged if you could simply take up five minutes of your precious time to write a comment.
If you come back for updates it certainly means that you love the fiction you lurk at.
So why don't you let the author know what you reckon about it? Why don't you tell her that the way she uses descriptions is excellent, or that you fell in love with the whole plot? And why don't you leave her suggestions to improve the story itself?
Feedback is what the authors live for, let's not be hypocrite about it. Fanfictions are written to be shared within the fandom, and if nobody informs the author that she is doing good/ill there would be no reason at all for keeping up the hard work.
So, dear lurker, next time you read your favourite story on this board, leave a nice gift to its author. Leave a sign of your passage, and all the hard work and efforts put in making a fiction believable will be, in a way, compensated.
