Title: Interview with White Andie!

Pirate Puppet - June 15, 2004 10:14 PM (GMT)
Interview With The Author

Welcome once again (and after a long time of absence) to Interview With The Author. Today's author is White Andie, one of the sweetest and nicest girls in this forum (and I sound biased and it is not accepted in a journalist like me but I must admit I adore her) and of course, one of our most beloved members.

Thanks to Andie for taking the time for answering this interview and for letting us enjoy a bit of her.

Hope you all enjoy this interview as I enjoyed doing it ;)

Luv

Adrienne

Nickname: White Andie
AKA: Andie or Andrea
You Know Her By: Ain't That Love and Kind Of Magic

In your words, tell us who are you. Who is White Andie?

White Andie is my secret part of myself that not all the people is able to see. It's the part that gets to be in my dreams and wishes and that is able to put in words all the feelings, troubles and illusions. She is my feeling side, I guess, the one that I'm sure that if someone gets to know her too well I'll be completely vulnerable.

How much time you have being writing stories?

I've been writing since I was 8 I guess, I've got to be in a newspaper kids competition and I won. Then I started writing into forums like 2 years ago after reading and watching The Fellowship ... I've been doing some short spanish stories for the newspaper contests too ... so let say that I've been writing for a long time.

Let's make a review. How many fanfics have you done so far?

Like 10 I guess... but I've only finished three of them ... and I've got tons of shorties...

Can you give the names?

My very first one -and it's awful!- is Drops of Jupiter, then anything but ordinary, Moonlight Dust, Kind of Magic, the two spanish stories: Tabaco y Chanel and Un monton de estrellas, 10 Things I can't Hate About You, Immortal, and my newest Ain't that Love?. Ten Days to Christmas, joint stories: Trophy Wives and Twisted Lullaby... and Paper Hearts.

How do you feel about them?

Like I said, they're part of me, they're very personals, I put a part of my life on those and I feel very connected with them, and it helps the fact that I've been growing up with them, from my very first story to my last one, you can see the changes in my life, and the way I was and the way I am, that's in my stories.

Which one are you most proud of?

I love Moonlight Dust, it was so perfect to write those magic places! And I'm proud of my spanish stories, I made incredible friends while I was doing it.
I feel that Ain't That Love is special too ... I'm putting all my hopes on that story! I hope I won't dissapoint anyone!

This is kind of a stupid question but I have to do it. Do you enjoy writing?

Lol! No problem, yeap, I enjoy it so bad!! It's so relaxing to sit down with my lap top and just writing all the things I got in my head! I guess I'd go crazy if I don't put those things out. So I guess that it's my way to stay sane (at least in the real life)

How do you get rid of writer's block?

Arghh! my awful nightmare!!! I watch a movie or read a book so I can get the idea... then if I'm lucky the ideas come back to my head. If it doesn't help, I give myself time, somehow they come back to me...

What inspires you to write?

There are so many things! From songs and music, to movies that I've seen. Or things that I've lived. Sometimes while I'm driving and watching the things around me, I'm thinking about the next chapter or things like that. I got inspiration from history too, like in Kind of Magic and The Voice Whispered To The Wind.

Are there specific genres that capture you?

I'm a romantic so I'm in love with love stories. I love magic too so I look for it on stories, something that I know that I can see in my everyday's life... Music, music is important too ... I love musicals.

What are some great stories you personally recommend others to read from your fellow authors?

There are so many good authors in here!!! Last Chance On The Stairway (by Bloomiecurse) it's a must, and Kimibloom's stories are awesome too!
Commit to Memory is a sad story that you must read! The Winter Of The Muse (By Smashing_Adri, me! LOL! I feel honoured!) has a great start and I'm looking after it. Jaime_Girl has great musicals and Mena with her Bloom the Groom and White Lies and White nights. Friends(By Ambrosia)is a complete awesome story. Tattered Webs (By Cerulean Flame) is awesome too!! DOA (She refers to Dead On Arrival by Flower) is a very good murder story too!

What do you think about joint fics? Are they good? Do you enjoy reading and writing them?

Lately I haven't read a lot of them. But I enjoyed writing them! I've been writing some joint fics and I made great friends in the way, so yeap I like them. You get to see mixed styles and writings on them!!

tell us about your friends in this forum

I've made so many good friends in here! The latin gang! my girls! we'd grown so close! Flor, Sol, Adri, my sis Dani! Anna, my fellow ram! Amber! Jaime!!! I've become close to them! and I'm quite happy with that!!! Andie, my twin named! and Sarah! I get to know so much from different countries because of them! and I get to practice my english too! so ! it's great!

Let's talk about Ain't That Love? how did you get the idea for it?

I'm quite ashamed that it came from my obsession with Love Actually(the movie) ... I've got to watch it like 3 times while I was sick. So I've got the idea of doing a fic where I'd be able to tell different stories, different lives ... and with the fact that love isn't all happy stuff... so I decided to write it.

Do you identify with your characters?

Yeah, somehow I create them with some parts of myself. It's kind of complicated, but if you know me and then you read the characters, you can see a light part of my personality on them.

Is there any specific thing you'd like to write about now?

I'm thinking about the second world war, the life apart the war, you know, thinking a little bit like Pearl Harbor but in London. And I'm starting to think about a new spanish story too, with tons of music and possibly a band on it too. It still in my mind ... but I've got the ideas already!

As a writer, do you have something published?

Yeah, tiny story on my hometown's newspaper... I'm so proud of it! even if it didn't won, I'm proud of it.

Tell us about your projects here in the forum, any upcoming fiction?

I want to end ATL and maybe I'll start a new story based on London in the second world war. And probably -not probably... I have to- write another story in spanish, I'm missing writing them! (and I'm sure all lating girs are missing it! Including myself!)

Someone you'd like to write with

Mena, probably, I love her style, at the same that with Amber. I'd love to write with Kimibloom, she is awesome with her stories and I love the plots she create! but I guess its too much.

Your favourite fiction here (just one)

Just one!!!!!!!!!!!! God!!!!!!! Commit To Memory (By Aine Marie)... I love the way Aine Marie express the feelings.

Your favourite book and writer

Isabel Allende, The house of spirits.

Andie, what a great interview!!
But, did I read wrong when you said you wanted to end Ain't That Love?
:faint:

The war story sounds cool. I've always wanted to write a war fiction but I haven't found the patience to look up certain details and things.
<_<

Anywho... congrats to you!
