HEY GIRLIES!

so yes, i actually got up off my lazy ass (in a figurative sense) and have actually done something for the cause. This is for us to go over plot points, discuss characters, chapters, etc.

PLEASE if you are not helping to write Masquerades and Addictions, GET THE HECK OUT AND READ THE STORY INSTEAD! Sorry, hehe... just, you wouldn't want to spoil it, would ya?

Okay, so I'm going to basically put up what i know so far about the story, because then you guys can tell me what i dont know or have forgotten (i have a brain like a sieve so PLEASE excuse me... its not your fault its mine. and don't kill me for it, please... hehe)

Title: Masquerades and Addictions (and a very kickass title at that!)

Writers: Myself, Bananafuzz, and oh shit... i knew this... Cottoncandy? :huh: I remember you replied to Sing in EWFN... oh for fucks sake. And tinkertoy. AMBER i didnt realize until just then that you're writing too! YAYAYAY!! *huggles* I told you i am completely scatterbrained.

Rating: R. for language and sexual content. BRING ON THE SMUT! I love writing smut, i am a twisted pervy teenaged groupie, so what?! hehe...

and from what I gather we each write from our own point of view, right? NOW, what I suggested at first was that we wrote from our own poitn of view and took over like, one of the guys also. but how bout if we write from our own point of view and then just randomly choose a guy or one of the other smaller parts depending on what best fits the scenario...?? does that sound good? so like you have two sections, your POV and then the other persons... and you can do whatever you want, like repeat the scene from two different perspectives, give opinions, move the plot onwards...

this is like playing an immensely complicated boardgame. ITS SO MUCH FUN! hehe...

right. As for the plot. All i know is that Orlando is screwign around with the four girls and being all boasty to Dom and Elijah who dont like it at all, etc. and that eventually we all find out and like some of us want revenge and some of us don't and eventually we all end up with someone. *nods* only... we have to draw it all out, insert comody and tearjerkers and, well, yeah.

CHRIST this is turning out to be long. I know im kind of up front, seriously guys tell me to screw off if i get annoying. and INPUT! we want INPUT!! *nods*

ooh. Who wants to write the first chapter? Me n Sage thought that whoever would write it, post it up here and then we could edit it and comment and stuff so that the first chapter is poignant and powerful and sucks people in like flies to flypaper.

Ok, now as Heidi said, we need little sub-plots... what do you think about we each come up with one for our own character? Does that sound good? Just something else that's going on in their lives... and maybe make one up for whichever guy we have claimed lol. I don't know.... open suggestions here. Of course if one person came up with an idea for someone else that would be good too... hmmm..

I feel like I'm forgetting something. Uuuuuh.... it's coming.... oh! Yeah, i like the idea of the first person and then whoever happens to be in their little world at that moment lol. Good idea. I think we should go with that....

and i have a chappy. Of sorts. Now, to my credit, i wrote this on the tram on the way home. I attempted to in english class when my teacher momentarily forgot that he had to teach and started staring into space for a while, but my friend saw and she's like: *groan* oh god not THAT again. Orlando... huh, orlando is such a gay name. And then she asked the guys whether or not orlando was a gay name and it took them like 5 minutes to understand who we were talking about and when they did they went "OH the elf princess! Oh yeah, really gay name. It's like roberto or something!"

at which point i was red, laughing, and stuffing my notebook in my bag.

but, i have written. And well, its not finished yet (it will be when i finish writing the post tho... hehe...) but still! hehe...

Chapter One

*Orlando*

"Orlando! Over here!"
"Orland, this way!"
"Can we have a smile, Orlando?"
"Orlando, my mom wants you!"
I snapped around; that was definately a new one. A little bit disturbing, too, if you were to ask me. I mean, I wasn't surprised but, well, thats just a little bit freaky. I could just imagine a 50 year old running along with the fangirls trying to get at me...
Oh god, please no, nasty thoughts. The flashes were seriously doing my head in. I needed to get off the red carpet soon before I exploded. I was sure that these reporters mean well but they just didn't know when to stop. Where're Elijah and Dom? I was getting kinda bored. I looked around and saw them, hot footing it into safety. They couldn't handle papparazi as well as I could.
"Lij' man, wait up!" I jogged up to the two of them, waved one last time to the cameras and ducked into the door.
"Bloody hell, that was horrible," I said, not entirely truthfully.
"Yeah, shut up Bloom, you loved every second of it," said Dom, not entirely kindly, either. Whatever, if that's the way he feels then screw him!
"No girl today, then, Bloomie?" I cringed at the nick-name that Elijah oh so endearlingly called me by, and silently cursed out my parents and the name they gave me. Whoever heard of Orlando? It's like Rodolfo - it automatically stamps "gay" across my forhead in big red letters.
"No, I decided I'd hang with you guys instead of some star-struck chick tonight. Unless yo guys have huge objections to it." They shrugged, handed our tickest to the bouncers and walked in the huge theater. It was gradually beginning to fill but was empty enough that the three of us could get decent seats. There was still ages until the movie began but we had plenty to keep ourselves occupied with. Just greeting everyone and trying to remember their latest accomplishment in order to compliment them was hard. I shuddered when I realized that we had chosen seats behind Michael Jackson. The man is scary. Always will be. I shook his hand and tried not to stare at his nose and cheekbones too much while making polite small talk, thanking God profusely when my cell phone rang.
"Hey, Jacko, gotta answer that. Nice to finally meet you!" I lied and hurriedly pushed the green button, hopeing that it was indeed the right button. I was never too sure about that kind of thing.
"Hello?"
"Orlando! Hey babe, where are you?" I chewed my lip a little and then finally remembered the name of the movie that was premiering today.
"Hi Tara! I'm at the Van Helsing* premiere. Remember? Didn't I tell you that yesterday?"
"I don't think so, I didn't talk to you yesterday, Lando. I was really busy remember?" I didn't. Shit.
"Oh, yeah, sorry, it's just it didn't seem like a whole day without you, love. I thought I'd told you. How'd it go then?"
"How'd what go?"
"What you were busy with!"
"Oh, it was okay. My mom is crazy."
"Your mom? She was at work with you?" I scratched my head, avoiding Elijah's glance - he was rolling his eyes at me. Tara heaved a sigh.
"God, no, Orlando where have you been lately? Me and my mom went shopping. Sheesh. I think you need to stay away from the cameras - the lights are going to your head."
"Yeah, I guess. Well, I gotta go, Heath Ledger wants to talk! Love you!" I clicked the phone off and sank down into my seat. Dom and Elijah were sitting there with bemused looks on their faces.
"Heath Ledger? Well, really, Bloom, I'm flattered that you could mix me with Mr. Sex God but it's really quite worrying," said Dom, shaking his head and raising his eyebrows. Well, it wasn't completely fictional; I could see Heath and he definately looked like he was wanting to talk, just not with me but with Britney Spears. Who, consequentially, was sitting a few rows down and to the right of us. Elijah joined Dom in the shaking of heads and looked at me desparingly.
"Orlando..." he started a sentence but apparently thought better of it. The lights started dimming and I switched my phone off, sitting back to enjoy the movie.

"Shit piss fuck damn bugger arsed hole!" I yelled, clutching my aching toe and jumping around on one foot. That was my favorite line from Love Actually, or anyways, it was something like that. 'Arsed hole' was definately the end of the line, and definately my favorite part of it. And I probably quoted it a couple times a day; I was always hurting myself or doing something really stupid. This time, the corner of the wall had refused to give way to my big toe. And it hurt like a mother ...

"Oooh, phone!"I squealed and hopped my way through my appartment on one foot to get to it.
"Lyra Cassidy. How may I help you?" I said eagerly. I love telephone calls.
"Ly, you always sound so - abnormally official when you answer the phone now!"
"Hey Birdy," I laughed. 'Birdy' was the name I gave my best friend after I found out that the name I gave her before, 'Lark', was actually the name of a bird. It went from Larkin to Lark to Birdy. I don't think she liked it much, but I was never really sure.
"Whatever happened to answering the phone with the usual "what do you want?" she asked.
"I gave my number to Orlando," I answered simply.
"Ah, yes, I should have linked it to that. He's changed you, girl."
"Yada yada yada. Don't want to hear it, Lark. What's up?" I asked, gingerly setting my foot back down on the floor, wincing a little as I scrunched my big toe up and then unscrunched it.
"Nothing. I'm bored. I thought I'd call my best friend, see if she could squeeze me into her tight schedule, you know, seeing as how she's Mr. Big Moviestar's girlfriend now and is extra busy..." she trailed off, deliberately poking my psyche. In a sense.
"Lark, quit screwing with me. Anyways, Orlando's at some premiere with all the hot shots."
"Didn't he invite you?" I shrugged.
"Nah, he told me in a, ahem, very special way that we should try and keep things quiet for a while. If you catch my drift." I could just hear her shaking her head.
"Ly, you are way too easy."
"Me? Easy? Never!" I chuckled, knowing full well that that was a lie. "I hear a giant triple cheese stuffed crust garlic onion ham and mushroom pizza calling my name. You want to come help me do it justice?" I ask her, anticipating the answer.
"As long as you cut the mushrooms, I'm there."
"No problem, I don't like mushrooms anyways."
"Right. I'll get the booze. Be there in 20." I heard a click and then a very annoying tone. I looked at the phone and shook my head, tossing it on the couch. Flicking on the tv I saw some of the pictures of the premiere. I laughed as I watched Orlando's face when he was looking for Elijah and Dom, finally running up to them in that funny way that he never lost from when he was Legolas. All long strides and bent knees and flying hair... the tv screen went blank and I grabbed my purse and slammed the door, running around the corner to Luigi's. Luigi may have a rather commical name but he sure makes a kick ass pizza. Plus, he's kind of hot.

No- that's great! It already paints Orlando as an egocentric movie star, who has a bit of an insecure side to him (at least, when it comes to his name). Plus, there's a bit of tension between Elijah&Dom and him, which is good. And then it also introduces your character.

Okay, so I like stating the obvious. Heh. But, all in all, I think it's a great introduction! :)

Like, we write our own POV. It just works best for like character development and stuff, because then we each know our own character really well and we know how they'd react and stuff. And then everyone else, well, whatever fits the chapter best you can use. You don't even have to use 2 different POV's. And you can use more. You get it?

Okay so I wnated to run by an idea for my character by all of you.

I was thinking, that Aideen is a celeb too(not as well known as orli of course, maybe a newcomer). And you know celebs are always trying to cover up their relationsships so, that could be why no one knows about them. I was also thinking she's from LA, but I wanted to know if that was one of the other girls hometown, if it is I 'll just change to somewhere else. Um...damn, I had more Ideas, but I can't remember them...ah well, I'll think of them later.

So anyways, tell me what you think about those ideas and get back to me. And feel free to tell me they're crap, or they just won't work. :shine:

Okay. I kind of thought of my storyline. Tell me what you think and stuff.

I'm gonna kind of base my character off of Lana from Smallville, which is kinda appropriate because Kristin Kreuk is in the banner, lol. So, anywho, she's this slightly naive and innocent girl with small town roots who is making it in the big city (NYC) as an owner of her cafe. Dating Orlando Bloom is the *hugest* thing that's happened to her, ever - ya know, since he's this mega movie star and all lol.

So, since he kind of acts distanced and disinterested towards her at times, she blames it on herself. She starts to get really pressured to please him, yada yada yada. All of this takes a toll on her self esteem and she begins to deal with image issues. She could get really self conscious and get depressed and anorexic and stuff. And then Dommy boy eventually "saves" her from herself by convincing her that she's beautiful just the way she is (hehe, some cheesiness for ya). And they live happily ever after, lol.

i have no problem with either of those really. i think they'd work fine... as for tara, she's still a mystery in terms of background lol
