Hey Guys!
Here is something my freind and I often talk about.
| QUOTE |
UN-declaration of human rights All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. |
That is what the UN tells us, in the german constitution it is actually expressed a bit stricter:
| QUOTE |
| "The human dignity is sacrosanct, to protect and preserve is duty of every constitutional force" |
Sorry I suck in law english...
Anyway... what do you think is meant by this "dignity"...
And if you turn on the normal TV isn't that just an endless line of violations of this dignity?
what do you think?
As a journalsit my opinion is bound to my carerr and as critic one of it, I think that media does not respect the dignity.
With dignity we refer to the Humn rights, a right to the privacy, right to have our personal life and no one can get into it if we don't want to. In terms of journalism dignity probably does not exist because they mix it with the purprose of showing the 'truth' that soemtimes is just a make up of something that has propaganda and business behind it.
Media does not undestand that there's no need on stalking and annoying people just to get news (tehy do it all just to get news) and that's something that's gotta change. by my part I don't want to be part of that monopoly, I'm trying not to be like that, and i hope I have success, i don't want the world to hate me, i just want to inform and make my job professionally (think that actual media lacks of).
So those were my 50 cents for this ;)
Hmm, yeah of course...
I, wanting to become a journalist as well, think that honest reporting does not really violate that...
But what about these shows as "I'm a celebrity get me outta here" or "Scaretactics" they SOOO compromise human dignity...
The first voluntarily and the second unvoluntarily...
Actually media is manipulated just to make propaganda and satisfy and make favours to the big monopolios...
it's rather long to explain but there's a book: Politic propaganda by Jean Marie Domenach. good book, goo analisis, read it ;)
