Title: Conspiration or Attack
Description: What about the new 11/9 theory?

WhiteAndie - March 11, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
I'm doing this essay for college and the Topic I chose is the new theories that talk about something behind the 11/9 more than the only terrorist attacks ...

I need some opinions about this theme. I researched and I found that some writers at Europe thinks that the governmet is behind all this, and other just think that it's an Al Qaeda attack ...

What do you think?

(Sorry, if this offends anyone... I'm not taking importance about this awful and sad attack, i just want to know more points of view than the ones we all saw at tv)

I heard it quite often that it might have been the states themselves...
But then again I am not a friend of wild conspiratory theories...

But it's true that after vietnam I would never trust anything the US government let's ´the world know about their way to fight a war... and seriously the only nation, even if this sounds disgustingly cynic now, who really had an advantage of all this is america - well maybe not the nation but some filthily rich ppl who got the oil, money for the weapons and soon contract to rebuilt iraq...

but well... Bin Laden said he did it, why would he do it - to support Bush?! I don't fucking think so... except they were conpiracing together- but that is now really crazy :)

I mean ... i found so many interesting things about the planes, and some things in the financial market... and the oil...

and so many things trhat it's just blow my mind off!!

the only thing that supports the attack theory (my teacher gave it to me) it's Bush speech ..

that;s all!

so i need opinions ... pretty please?

America was actually informed about the attack. They were warned a few times, but the American government said they had enough force if it did happen, and they highly doubted that it would happen, because they are "America." I don't mean to offend anyone American, but as far as I can see, it has always been as if America was the high and mighty country. If they had listened to the warning, maybe 9/11 could have been stopped, who knows? But they were too big for their boots and look where that got them...

Again, sorry if I offended anyone, I'm not on about the American as an individual, or as a society, I'm just focusing on Bush and the government.

I agree with Kierra about them not taking the warnings seriously enough until 9/11 happens. I think lots of people were sacked and questioned because of this lack of security.

Of course, there had been lots of empty scares, and I'm not exactly blaming them... But at the expense of life, I think the security department (or whatever you call them) of the U.S. were spending too much on other stuff which do not help protect its people.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense...

As an American saying this I might get more defensive, but don't take it personally, because I try not to, but I might...All I'm saying is that just because we get a warning doesn't mean we have to shut down everything. I mean our terror levels, as much of a joke as they are, do help I suppose, but not every citizen wants to stop everything just because we might get attacked. I have faith in my government, so if there were to be another attack I know I'm protected.

On another note I personally don't feel that we should blame all of 9/11 on Bush, but I believe there's another topic for it and that I need to make sure my facts are straight  .

I'd love to hear it, you know?
I have been recently been in the US and I have noticed the discussion is pretty hot on the matter, especially considering the impact of the movie '9/11' and all the books talking about conspiracies and involvement of the present President of the US.
