It’s 1940. The year where Germany invaded Denmark and Norway. The year in which the Battle of France begun; the year in which the United Kingdom invaded Iceland.
On May 26th, 1940, the famous evacuation of Dunkirk began as the British troops decided to evacuate from France after the German Army Group B invaded the Netherlands and the German Army Group A burst through the Ardennes region and made their way rapidly towards Sedan.
Aside from Britain, the four nations of France, Belgium, Netherlands and Poland joined forces with Britain to evacuate.
However it wasn’t easy as the Germans stood in their way of escape, as they moved north along the coast, threatening to capture the ports and the British and French forces before anyone could be evacuated.
