After seeing so many insect decks, all failing miserably, even in deckmasters, I decided to create a card that supports their type.
Dark Rose Spirit
Type: Earth
Sub-Type: Fairy
Level: 4
Attack: 1700
Defense: 1300
This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 1 Insect sub-type monster in your Graveyard from play.
When this card is special summoned successfully, you may search your deck for 1 'Insect Barrier' and add it to your hand by discarding a card at random from your hand.
When this card is face up on the field, at any point in the duel, you may change it's sub-type to Insect(This effect overrides other effects that change this monster's sub-type).
At each of your end phases, you may change the sub-type of one face-up monster on the field to Insect.
As you maybe already expected, this monster gains some additional effects when being used with certain deckmasters.
Cocoon of Evolution: The special summon of this monster may be treated as a normal summon(you may then turn this monster instantly into an Insect sub-type).
Man-Eater Bug: The effect of adding an 'Insect Barrier' to your hand from your deck is negated and replaced by this effect:
When this card is special summoned successfully, you may search your deck for 1 'Drill Bug' and add it to your hand by discarding a card at random from your hand.
Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth: If this card is removed from play due to this deckmaster's effect, you gain additional 500 life points.
I am pretty sure this one is overpowered, maybe you can give me some advice on how to weaken it.
Thanks in advance,
Poet
