Kate - December 14, 2003 08:08 AM (GMT)
Rachel, you're a legend. Thanks!
Miss A. - December 14, 2003 12:31 AM (GMT)
After just reading this weeks TV Guide I found out that Popular starts this week on Channel 7 at 2pm each weekday (In Australia). This week its playing on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but golf takes over for the rest of the week. Clea guest stars in a couple of the episodes. :)
Miss A. - January 3, 2004 11:51 AM (GMT)
Have you caught any of the episodes? I think one of Cleas episodes may be showing next week. Don't take my word for it, i could be wrong, but i think that they are probably nearly up to episode 16... :)

I'm taping it. Some of us have to work for a living!
Have you seen any of it so far, Rache? It looks kind of hokey.
If it's any good, I'll send you a copy, Sally.

i'm really liking it, it's kinda lame but i like it
i think sam (carly pope) is really hot.
but in like some month starting with j (it is either jan, jul or june) i can't quite remember, but it will be available on dvd, i was reading it on some website (that i can't remember either)
but then we can enjoy it at home, and we will all have our little slices of clea!!
Miss A. - January 5, 2004 02:02 AM (GMT)
I sorta like it aswell :$ I started watching a movie- The Glass House- last night, and it had Carly Pope in it, Emma. I'm not sure how long she was in it for, but just incase you are interested ;) ...I like Harrison B)
Kate - January 5, 2004 06:25 AM (GMT)
Well, the episode I saw the end of was about who was going to be crowned "Homecoming Queen" which I found to be insightful, relevant and hard-hitting. Aside from that, most of the cast has very nice dentistry and have learned their lines very well.
Oooh, cynical...
GrahamEaton - January 5, 2004 06:49 AM (GMT)
LMAO. I alternatively hate and love shows like that. Like on a "standards" issue, they aren't worth crap. The story lines are way too dramatic and crazy to every really happen, the actors don't act like normal people at all and the acting they do sucks, and the lines are like, corny or too thoughtful or whatever. But.... they can be amusing and entertaining, you know? Like if I ever happened to catch a Popular marathon, I would probably sit down and watch it and become engrossed.... LOL.... and later hate myself for it. Heh.
emma - January 5, 2004 11:43 AM (GMT)
i agree with you graham, i usually don't go for these shows, but these show has like a cheesy glow that keeps me coming back for more!! if i can afford it i will probs buy the dvd. it's really dramatic, and im such a wuss, i cried in 2 of the episodes i have seen already, my sister just looked at me.
but thanks Miss A. i will probs check that out!!
Kate - January 7, 2004 08:23 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure that tomorrow is the first Clea episode - 2pm on Channel 7.
:w00t:
Miss A. - January 8, 2004 05:04 AM (GMT)
I just finished watching it. So, what did you girls think? I think that Popular is a crazy show. Clea's role was...er...certainly different to what i had expected. Not bad, but different.
Remember to keep an eye out for episode number 21!
Kate - January 8, 2004 07:28 AM (GMT)
Yeh, I just watched it and I did the most retarded laugh when she said "You got any pie?" and two girls walking up the road heard it... it's ok though, I barked a bit after that so they would think it was just a dog or something.
Phew
emma - January 9, 2004 11:24 AM (GMT)
we had really crap reception coz we were kinda in the middle of a storm, so i was like :o :( :o
but yea, i laughed too, but i can happily say i didn't have to cover it up by barking. but i have been walking round the house asking for pie.
i think i laughed louder when she was in that cheerleading uniform and she was like jumping around...
can't wait till next time, hopefully there wont be a storm!!
Kate - January 10, 2004 03:51 AM (GMT)
Yeh! Her cheering effort was excellent. I kept rewinding that part, she was hopping up and down looking like an idiot, but she thought she rocked. Did you see the team name? The 'town name' Roadkill.
Miss A. - January 10, 2004 06:36 AM (GMT)
Haha...Roadkill. I noticed that too. I laughed when Wanda went mad at that Billy Bob guy because he said hi to her and he wasn't a jock. That was crazy. Poor guy...
21 Grams comes out on the 22nd of this month...I am pretty sure. It's probably been posted already...but this is a reminder just incase :)
sloth - January 16, 2004 10:58 PM (GMT)
well, it wasnt what i was expecting. thank you everyone who posted about this cuz other wise i wuldnt have even know.
i thought maybe shed be a love interest for that shorthaired girl, the last thing i expected was some psycho in a straight jacket obsessed with pie. i laughed so hard, 'you got any pie?'
haha. i like the show too. its kinda crap, but its like crappy good, like corned beef hash, crap good, get it? mmmmm, corned beef hash... *drools*
Dash - February 5, 2004 05:48 AM (GMT)
Who saw the 2nd last ep where Wanda is living in a toilet and a self claimed "John Junkie" ??
interesting..... :P
Kate - February 5, 2004 06:43 AM (GMT)
I thought it was kind of funny - especially when she rinsed her razor off in the toilet. Is it wrong to be attracted to a John Junkie?
Miss A. - February 5, 2004 08:49 AM (GMT)
Yes. Wanda Rickets is a girl of class
emma - February 5, 2004 11:17 AM (GMT)
hell yea!!
that was so fuckin awesome!!
what r u doin???
i'm cleanin my pits!!
and then the whole underage dancin thing!!
that was so kewl!!
do you know if they were only showing the one season or will they be showing more!!
Dash - February 5, 2004 10:46 PM (GMT)
Being attracted to a John Junkie? Nah, I'm sure there are lots of them about.
It's all about meeting Mr. Freshbowl.
;)
Miss A. - February 7, 2004 10:10 AM (GMT)
Channel 7 are playing repeats of season 1 Buffy episodes. Clea's episode is number 11 in the series, so should be playing in about 10 weeks.
Just something for those of you who haven't seen it to look forward to!
(Oh, this is still in Australia, for anyone unsure)
