Hey everyone!
I don't know how many people watched Carnivale last night but OH MY GOD! So good. I'm psyched. I can't wait for next week already. A few questions were answered and more came up...but over all it was a great premire, I thought. What did everyone else think?

It's going to be a great season. The story line actually moved... I love it! Not diggin' Jonsey so much anymore though.

Management being you know who...that's INSANE! Makes sense to why they showed that to us though. AND...the dream that Ben had being him way back in season 1 now is a little bit more errie. :yes:

You know... it was like so sadistic. If you are going to do that to someone, why save them in the first place? So she can live the rest of her life depressed?!

I think that the fetus might be back for something...who knows for sure though right?

I've been putting a lot of thought in to last season in conjunction to this season and I think I've figured something out. I think that the tattooed man (The guy with the Tree) is actually Scudder. But it is Scudder as the symbol for "The Usher" which apparently he is. If this is true....THen Sophie and Ben are brother and sister....Because Appolonia was "raped" by the tattooed man....(I'm still not sure if she was actually raped...I think that may have been a metaphor for something else...but I'm not sure. That is based on Sampsons surprise of the information) BUT....that also means that Sophie is DEFINATELY something big in the larger picutre of the series. Like the common link to Ben and Brother Justin, or maybe she holds the power to be the next usher...something like that.

So...those are my theories. :whistle:

There's a second season!!! That is good news :) I have been out of the Clea loop for too long.

When I saw the last episode of season one, I was hoping Sophie would be saved, somehow... but, if she survives to be miserable, that would suck.

The end of episode 3....Sophie in sleeping in Lodz's trailer...that is now hers, and the radio dial switches from the music she was listening to to Brother Justin's Broadcast of his sermon!!!!! Everyone who listens to him becomes evil or brainwashed!!!! OH NO SOPHIE!!!! She can't go to the bad side!!!

A friend of mine, who as winmx (something like napster and kazza) and downloaded the first 2 episodes of Carnivale from the first sesson.
I dont know if that is a good idea...but it's something.

OK....SO I am going to spoil some stuff for everyone but I'm sorry...I'm kinda freaking out about it and wanted to share....I'll go down a few lines to write the rest so if you don't want to know what is going on in season 2, stop reading now...




















HOLY COW!!!!!! Ben and Sophie really got it on in the newest episode! AND....it seems like they are really "in love" Ben even going in and kissing Sophie on the head before heading out. But Sophie...why did she leave the carnivale? She is going to be evil and follow Brother Justin and that is just sad. ANd when Ben shows up to kill Justin he is going to have to deal with his feelings for Sophie....and it's going to be horrible. What if he kills her by accident!!! ><

Alright :whistle: ...enough ranting. I'm psyched that Cleas role is so big in the show. I'm hoping that it reflects on her career...not that she is doing to badly.

i think sophie was brainwashed by brother justin's radio thing cuz thats whats been happening and shes leavin to follow him. ive heard many opinions of what will happen to her but i dont think they can eliminate her because theyve put the three biggest characters in one situation..ben, sophie, and brother justin. oh and sumthin else..i was watching an episode and idk like what was up with brother justin ripping off his face and then hes ben? that was so weird!

In coming epsiodes, the fetus will pop up behind brother Justin and tell Sophie to get her ass back to the carnivale and stop wasting valuable episode time, curling up on lounges and being interested in what he's saying.

That would be awesome! Would probably make my day... year even. Why don't you become a writer so you can take over the story line of the fetus????

I think that Borther Jusitin is going to "attack" Sophie like he did the other maids! AND....I think that she is going to be pregnant with either Ben's or Bro Justins baby. Making her a HUGE part of the story...and also making her vision of her mothers rape more probably a vision of her own....by bro justin.
The fetus...well..I think that the fetus is the symbol of the next usher. I think that when bro justin has a kid the fetus will come back...so...if sophie does get raped by bro justin and she gets pregnant, I think that the fetus is going to be back and that is how we are going to know that she is pregnant before everyone else knows. :yes:
I really hope my theory is wrong though...cause bro justin is gross. :whistle: :P

Yeah, the whole tarring thing was insane! I was like, wow when they were pouring the tar on him... but dude when they took out the pillow... it just blew me away.

The whole show I was waiting for the fetus to run out and start a singing and dancing act. Even him doing the WB Frog dance would be great!

As far as Sophie is concerned... Omega means "the end". Meaning? That she is what Bro Justin needed to fulfill his destiny? Maybe is was the last thing that needed to happen for Ben to get up and have real reason to find Bro J-dawg? Perhaps she is... dare I say it?... oh what the hell... maybe she is the one to bring on the age of the "false sun"?




All that aside... I am sort of worried w/ the pace of the show all of the sudden and all. I understood that there was to be a trilogy of seasons... but with the sudden bombardment with info that they are trying to sqeeze it all in just in case. I've read similar concerns on imdb.com.... any thoughts.

I'm with you on this one. I think that the pace is going way to fast for them to be "building" to anything anymore....THOUGH....season 3 could just be Bro Justin and Ben going at it the whole time....not that that would be a good plan...but I could see it happening...OR...Maybe Bro Justin is just a small part of the problem...maybe there is something BEYOND BJ that we need to worry about.

i havent been keeping up...why was jonesy tarred and feathered? i know that he got married to Libby..thats kinda weird. the 2 people in love with sophie..get marrid. lol. but someone give me an update as to whats going on i wanna know so bad!!

Jonesy was tarred because his ferris wheel ended up killing a woman when one of the cars fell off. He was caught drinking before it all happened, so the townies blamed the whole thing on him.

Honestly... how messed up would it be if it turned out Libby's dad was the one who replaced the steel rod with a wooden one???
