well i cant not tell everyone about this book. This is the only, and i mean only book i have been forced to read that i actually enjoyed. It's by mitch albom, a movie was made about it, its new, and its a bestseller.
***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***
The book is about a carnival maintenance worker who is very old and just wants to get away from his life at the carnival. the book begins as a countdown, saying like 12 hours before death or something and each of the beginning chapters is a countdown to his death. A ride collapses and this man, Eddie, sees a girl about to be crushed so he goes to rescue her and dies while doing this. You get to experience his death. When he gets to heaven, he meets five people, each teaching him an important lesson. He is not able to speak because before you can speak, you must listen. all throughout this story, he keeps asking the people he meets if he saved that little girl just seconds before his death. I wont wreck the end for you but you should definitely read it. I would reccommend it to anyone at any age. This book was awesome, and this is coming from a girl who hates reading with a passion.
They had this movie on a little while ago on like abc family or something, and it looked good, but I didn't watch it because it had already strted and I hate watching movies that have already started, cause I feel like I always miss something. I'm not much of a book reader, so maybe it will be on again for me to watch.
Yeah, we have this book. I haven't gotten to read it yet... reading some Plato book atm and I am scared if I start something else I will get confused.
2 of my brothers and 2 of my sisters have read this book though, and they said it was great. They said it was really sad...
As soon as I am done w/ The Republic, I will read it. :)
