mh, ya. I read about that site on the impressions board but unfortunatly I read it way 2 late... ><

Crystie - April 18, 2004 03:52 PM (GMT)
Yea havent seen any of them. I heard something about a video company releasing See Jane Run very soon but you know it could go either way.

Linz - April 20, 2004 02:59 PM (GMT)
I've seen SLeeping Beauties, IN fact I own 2 copies of it. LOL. But the other 2 re a mystery to me. See Jane Run was supposed to be released this spring by the company Arrow Features. But the website has been down for almost 4 months so I'm thinking that is not a good thing. So I don't know if it will be released at all. SOunds like it is going to be lost forever. :(

Kate - April 21, 2004 07:59 AM (GMT)
:o You own two copies of it? You closely resemble a God to me.

Can I do anything to persuade a trade/buy/"OK but no bragging to your friends about how you scored, afterwards" type deal with you?

I am very keen to see 'See Jane Run' - Arrow features! Get your finger out.

Yes...But it's going to be hard....really hard...

email me with your mailing address and I'll make you a copy. YOu can then thank me by paying postage and price of blank, or you can just send me a blank. Email me either way and we'll discuss.
;)

As I should

I shared my avator...pretty please can i have one too? i promise ill be good

Linz - April 21, 2004 10:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah that's cool. Email me and we'll figure the cost of sending it out. I can only record to VHS so I hope that isn't a problem for either of you. I'm in Massachusetts, so I don't know if you are going to have a problem Kate since you are not in the US? format for my tape may be different? Do you want to check that out or is it the same? And I definately want that avitar. But I will need you both to cover price of tape and shipping if thats ok

Crystie - April 21, 2004 10:41 PM (GMT)
Yey! mind if its cash linz?

Linz - April 21, 2004 10:45 PM (GMT)
course not...I take cash, charge, checks, money orders, fine jewelry, houses, cars, small children....on second thought no small children...beautiful women, sexual favors...God the list goes on but I think that ya'll get the idea. :o ;) :P

Kate - April 22, 2004 08:55 AM (GMT)
*stops shoving small children into box*

Oh, OK - good thing, really. Last time I forgot to put air holes in the box until after I had wrapped it, and there was some... unpleasantness.

:w00t: Rad. I will email you.

S.J. - April 22, 2004 11:11 AM (GMT)
u will enjoy Sleeping Beauties. it's really cute.
*grrr* on maybe not getting 2 see See Jane Run. I just need 2 spend some weeks of the year at filmfestivals...mh, working on that. B)

Linz - April 22, 2004 04:44 PM (GMT)
Do you go to festivals as a spectator or as a director, past director actor whatever. I guess, audience or actual important person at the festival. And when you get there, how are you going to fix the no See Jane Run problem? It's Arrow Entertainment International...Arrow Features is the us distributor. If that helps anyone. From what I have seen online at various sites, a number of changes have gone on with ex arrow personel, which is leading me to believe that they are shutting down. If that happens, what happens to all of the unreleased movies that they own? ANyone know?

was that a question? as soon as I get my shorts done I will go there as a director and writer. until that I would be there in the audience. ;)

mh, not yet. ^_^

QUOTE

well, it won't fix the not seen See Jane Run problem unless I meet someone who was working on the short and owns a copy and of course is willing 2 make me a copy. B)
but spending some time at filmfestivals is sometimes the only opportunity 2 see well done shorts and maybe if you r lucky it is an easy way 2 meet filmakers,...

ad Arrow Pictures (distributor):
is that possible that they didn't distribute anything (except 2001 See Jane Run) after 1926?
and Eoxon Entertainment (producer) did only See Jane Run?

QUOTE

if those films don't get picked up from an other company they simply get dusty or in worst case they get destroyed.

No, Arrow had a bunch of releases in the past few years. "The Independent(s?)" "Jump", they own "Eat This New York" Which sundance has just started showing.

"See Jane Run" is full length, not a short. Just so you know. I'm working a film fest myself this weekend. I should ask around. Maybe I'll get lucky.

According to some reviews (e.g. on the official SJR site) it's 90min - seems the IMDB info is wrong ...
moreover it seems to be quite impossible to tell the story in just 10min

I'll definately know how the John Waters thing is. Also there is this film collaborative going on this weekend, where all of the indie studios are opening their doors to the public. It should be pretty cool.
