Title: Who Do You Want To See Clea Work With?
Description: future...
Crystie - April 6, 2004 03:30 AM (GMT)
Lets admit it, Clea has had some awesome costars in her time. She's gotten to work with people like whoopi goldberg, angelina jolie, winona ryder, brittany murphy, john cusack, ray liotta, amanda peet, rachael leigh cook, katharine towne, charlize theron, benicio del toro, sean penn, matthew mcConaughy (spelling?), Johnny depp, the list goes on and on. what i want to know from you guys is who do you want to see clea in a movie with? (could be girl or guy)
For a girl i would definitely pick reese witherspoon, julia stiles, or anna faris
For a guy seann william scott  , rob shnieder (spelling?), or adam sandler
Who do you want to see her work with in the future?
Dr. Nick - April 6, 2004 08:24 AM (GMT)
Rob Schneider!? I hope Clea will never be in a situation she'd to do movies of that kind anymore ... stupid not-funny comedy movies suck bigtime. ><
Well, Clea's into horror movies, so I'd like to see her in a Resident Evil movie (but
real Resident Evil style like the games, not the "weak" movies!) fighting Zombies, Lickers 'n stuff - that would be fun! So that would be with Milla Jovovich I think.
Or Clea as a vampire in a latex outfit like those in Underworld *thud* ... upps :$ :P - would be great, and also nice co-stars ...
Miss A. - April 6, 2004 08:45 AM (GMT)
Lol. That's what i was thinking about Rob Schneider. And Adam, and Seann. Heheh. But i guess they aren't quite as bad. I guess a lot of people do like his films though, there are a few of them out there. Personally, i couldn't see Clea in any of them. I wouldn't really fancy too either... :/
Kate - April 6, 2004 10:07 AM (GMT)
Clea can do the shit out of comedy, but not that kind of comedy...

Well i mean she doesnt do much comedy. the only comedic films i can really think of a biac, shes all that, and committed, which were mostly romances to begin with. i dunno i just have never seen her in anything comedic...she can pull off every other role...something different, ya know? rob is a funny guy...especially in the hot chick. he kinda does that whole asshole comedy but i dont think it would completely tear down who clea is cuz shes just better then that. i dunno...just thought he was a good person to put down comedy for. but i would really wanna see her work with seann...hes so hot and he can play like a total goon and like an action guy..hah anyway...my point is i wanna see her in more comedy cuz thats my favorite type of movie cuz i am absolutely terrified of horror movies cuz im just a huge wimp..yea identity made me freak out for like 2 weeks so
more comedy
Kate - April 7, 2004 10:39 AM (GMT)
I think there's comedy in a lot of things she does - even if it's not a "comedy" - like, "How to Make the Cruelest Month" I laughed a lot. I'm just saying, she's tongue in cheek, but maybe wouldn't be so at home in a movie about a guy who pursues the girl of his dreams, as a dog.
I see what you mean though. It wouldn't hurt for her to lay off the horror and sci-fi.
Linz - April 7, 2004 02:43 PM (GMT)
I'm not a huge fan of Horror OR Sci-FI but I think that clea's "look" leds well to it. She's sexy but not Halle Berry sexy, shes smart but not revenge of the nerds smart, and shes "butch" (Not butch like a man or super dyke, but butch like she can hold her own) and that is what lends her to Sci-Fi and horror....
It probably doesn't hurt that she enjoys horror movies so of course her "favorite directors" are goign to be horror directors.
I love her in the thinker films though. I think that if she was to do a "comedy", a true adam sandler farly brothers type comedy, she would look kinda silly. (I just can't picture this) Not to mention that she would probably become all famous and never do great indies anymore and that would make me sad. :/
Miss A. - April 8, 2004 04:00 AM (GMT)
 I haven't seen HTMTCM, but i'm sure Clea does a great job anyway.
I get where you are coming from Crystie, because you like those sort of comedies. I really don't find most of them funny and would prefer not to see anyone in them...
I guess i like her more dramatic films. I haven't really seen her in many comedies where she has more than a bit part...There isn't really anyone that i would love to see Clea work with, but looking back on that list, it is rather impressive!
Crystie - April 8, 2004 05:34 PM (GMT)
k i want to add someone for clea to work with. Julia Roberts...she is sooo awesome..great actress.
Angua - April 10, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
be nice it's only my second post.
She should work with Robert Roderiguez again. He's good at creating interesting characters. And Johnny Depp again. Wouldn't mind seeing her in a mvoie together with Parker Posey either.

Robert Roderiguez is a genius. I absolutely love him!
Desperado, The Faculty, From Dusk Till Dawn...
Great times!!!
Seth bangs the bell on the counter...

Yeh! 'From Dusk 'Till Dawn' makes me smile
Linz - April 12, 2004 02:18 PM (GMT)
Has anyone read Robert Roderiguez's book "A Rebel Without a Crew" It's all about the making of El Mariachi, his first film. He made it with only 7,000 dollars and was going to sell it to the Spanish Video market when it got picked up at on of the big film fests. Desperado is actually a sequal to it.
I love his work. He has been a huge inspiration to me.
Oh..and Clea should DEFINATELY work with Parker Posey. That would be a riot. OH...and Audry Tatau, the girl from Amilie and Dirty Pretty THings.
The M doubleO SE - April 13, 2004 08:23 AM (GMT)
I totally agree with Clea working with Parker Posey!!!!! In my movie collection, which is at 430 right now, i have a Clea section, a Parker section and a Drew Barrymore section...................Sooooo ...of course i would also love to see her work with Drew.........................But i think that Clea and Parker is the best combo yet

Yeh, El Mariachi is so great considering it was shot with one camera, for $7000 (well, that's before the studio bought it and cleaned it up for distribution, I guess).
Have you bought it on DVD and watched the making of El Mariachi? Where he goes over how he did all the most impressive sequences and worked out the coverage? Definitely worth a look. It's on an El Mariachi/Desperado double feature.
Have you seen his short film, Bedhead? The cast are all his family members. I like it.
The M doubleO SE - April 13, 2004 02:06 PM (GMT)
Oh.....i forgot about Gina Gershon!!! :D
Linz - April 14, 2004 04:26 PM (GMT)
I have seen Bedhead. It's so funny. ANd the making of I have yet to see. I really want to I just forgot about it so I'm glad that you brought it up. He is amazing, I think. How he sold his body to science for 3 weeks so he could make 3,000 dollars for the movie. I have totally thought about doing that to make mine. But really, my body wouldn't be that great for science.
Kate - April 15, 2004 08:55 AM (GMT)
Don't you sell yourself short! At the very least you can sign up for those 'Million Dollar Woman' trials that I assume exist
Linz - April 15, 2004 02:48 PM (GMT)
Ooooooooooo....that might be kinda fun. I should DEFINATELY do that!
Dr. Nick - April 16, 2004 06:58 AM (GMT)
 I'd really like to see (or actually hear ^_^ ) Clea as a (guest) voice on The Simpsons - that would be fun B)
Regardless if it would be as a new/guest character or as herself, which could be great in e.g. a new Springfield Film Festival episode  like the
first one:
Jay : Oh. MacGyver's gay.
[both sisters growl at Jay, who cowers]
[Homer giggles behind the couch]
Bart: [laughs] You badmouthed MacGyver, didn't you?
Jay : [hanging from the eavestrough in his underwear] Uh...muh uh?
Kate - April 16, 2004 09:47 AM (GMT)
:w00t: Dr. Nick - you are a genius!
The perfect combination: favourite actor/favourite show.
Linz - April 16, 2004 02:45 PM (GMT)
THAT would be so hilarious
I totally agree with you Nick. The Simpsons rock!
Crystie - April 17, 2004 01:07 AM (GMT)
Bear with me i just got back from a week in orange county
yea that would be soo cool if clea would play someone on the simpsons. suits her hehe.
Idle_Shit - May 6, 2004 10:19 PM (GMT)
Do you know what I'd love to see Clea Duvall in a remake of Bound with Jennifer Tilly, cause i love them both, they could make that film sparkle, give Clea Gina Gershon's part and all would be tip top in my world.
Kate - May 8, 2004 02:29 AM (GMT)
I've only seen the end of 'Bound' and I was drunk so I really don't remember it. I kept thinking that Melanie from QaF was in it. That was silly. I should re-visit it when I am sober.
Idle_Shit - May 9, 2004 09:38 PM (GMT)
ahhhh its rocking
Linz - May 10, 2004 07:32 PM (GMT)
Bound is a rockin movie, but I don't think that Clea would pull off Gina Gershons roll. She's just not THAT butch. THough, I could see her in Prey for Rock and Roll...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Idle_Shit - May 10, 2004 09:55 PM (GMT)
:/ Aaaahhhh But she wouldn't need to be THAT Butch cause she could make the roll her own... it would be rocking my stockings baby

I like this quote. I guess you are right. I still don't know how I feel about it...but if it would make you happy then I say she should do it!

:w00t: Great I'm on the phone to her agaent now, filming starts in 5 minutes, who wants to be an extra???? :w00t:
Linz - May 13, 2004 05:47 PM (GMT)
OOOOooooooooooooooooooo I do...I do....
::Jumps up and down with arm in the air::
I could be someone they both randomly make out with.
Idle_Shit - May 13, 2004 10:00 PM (GMT)
