Title: Letter To Clea
Description: *proud of the title*
Idle_Shit - April 4, 2004 01:14 AM (GMT)
 I have tickled myself with the title cause for those who don't know theres a band called letter to cleo and well yeh  *coughs* anyway... I want to write a letter to Miss DuVall but I don't know what to write in it, any sudgestions peoples??? my friend wrote to Colin Farrell and he sent her a signed picture, maybe if i wrote to Clea then I'll get a signed picture.... or just a picture, or anything...would rock my socks i'm telling you
Riley - April 4, 2004 05:25 AM (GMT)
First the good news....
Once, I wrote to Mario Lopez during the "Saved by the Bell" years and he sent me a 'graphed photo. I was happy as a fuckin' clam!
If I were to write her.... hmmmm.... I would probably tell her about a friend of mine I started looking up to and gained much respect for after seeing her as a character in one of her movies. (That's to get her motivated to send me something.)
Then I would write funny nonsense that would leave one crying because of relentless laughter to help me get over the fact I barred my soal to a stranger for a signed photo.
Then I would be over it and happy as a fuckin' clam when I got the 'graph!!
But now... the bad news.
Many people have tried, but no one who has written has gotten a resonse, let alone an autograph. Maybe it's the address we've all tried... (I've only seen 2 on the net, same results from both)... maybe she's too busy... dunno.
Wish ya all the luck in the world gurl. Let us know how she turned out.
Idle_Shit - April 4, 2004 05:59 AM (GMT)
thankie ya, but i will demand a flipping autograph seen as the cost to send a letter to america from the middle of the crappy country-side in England is nearly as much as my wage packet (well not quite but i will bring on the sympathy.) It took Colin Farrell nearly 2 years to send my mate her signed picciture, and that was when he was in ballykissangel and no one watched that cause it sucked arse grapes so i doubt he was seriously over runned with fan mail cause no one watched it to find him attractive...Hmmm oh well... *gets out pad of paper, looks for a pen* lets give it a go huh???? :w00t:
Miss A. - April 4, 2004 11:21 AM (GMT)
Once, years and years ago, i was a huge Friends fan, and so was my best friend at the time, and i wrote a letter to Matt LeBlanc and she wrote one to Lisa Kudrow, for fun one day. We both got a signed photo sent back, quite awhile after.
And one time i got a signed picture from Belinda Emmet when she was still on Home and Away, but there was a personal message ^_^ She wished me a Happy Birthday. Only because my Mum had links, but it was sweet, because i thought Home And Away was the best at the time. (Home And Away=Aussie soap)
I couldn't really give you any suggestions about what you could write though, because I have no idea what i would write myself...sorry :/
Idle_Shit - April 4, 2004 04:31 PM (GMT)
Home and Away rocks socks dude, though Neighbours is blatently better... Hmmm I don't think I need to rush writing a letter, and i am sure it'll be full of Brit Humor no matter what I write... So quirky.
Crystie - April 4, 2004 04:49 PM (GMT)
I read somewhere that shes not with innovative artists anymore so that address may not work. you can maybe look for her address in new york city. i know its on park avenue but i dont know what number.
Idle_Shit - April 4, 2004 05:08 PM (GMT)
>< Oh this is getting so difficult, why can't someone on here just meet her, ask her where we can write to her and tell the rest of us and get it over with... or someone move next door to her or something...*Looks around and sighs* :/
Crystie - April 4, 2004 10:16 PM (GMT)
i think it might be like the whole terrorist thing because they told stars not to give their addresses out. we have given her suggestions but she hasnt written back.
S.J. - April 5, 2004 09:16 AM (GMT)
 question :
why would u be so happy if you would get an autograph by Clea D.? I'm just curious, because I simply can't dublicate that. I can imagine that it would be nice 2 work with her and maybe get 2 know her better and get a cup of coffee together, but a pic with a signature ? ...I just don't get it...
Linz - April 5, 2004 02:29 PM (GMT)
I think that the autograph thing is just...Hmmm...Looking for wording....Ok lets try this again...
If you get an autograph from your most favoritest person in the whole wide world, then you have something that they touched...or you can pretend like they took the time to write to you...even though it is more than likely to be a Personal Assistant. That is a big deal. To have someone you truely respect pay attention to you even if it's just for .2 seconds. Ya know? The pic would just be a added bonus cause they you can put it in a frame and tell everyone that it is your girlfriend. :-)
Idle_Shit - April 5, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
*agrees* sure to work closely with Clea or to go out with her for a coffee and a shag would be bloody brilliant, but thats highly unlikely, and I think getting an autography is just something special...and I did say I wanted a signed PICTURE, thats because its impossible to buy picture of Clea over here in the UK, No where sells them and so I have to print off pictures off line and they suck...so just to get a nice picture would be fantastico.

thanks 4 dispersing the fog of my ignorance. :) I can understand now, why someone desperate want's 2 get a picture with an autograph from someone he/she really adores.
still I can't copy that. because I don't know if I would like the real person although I like the film character. though I truely believe that Clea D. is a nice person in real life I simply don't get anything out of a signed picture. but 2 get that straight and befor anyone gets mad at me, I never ever would make fun of someone who wishes 2 get a signed picture by the actor/actress he/she really likes.

Idle_Shit,
nothing is impossible, right?! ^_^
I thought that in London u could get everything? but Clea D. isn't a blockbuster actress, thank god!, so I can imagine that it is difficult 2 get pictures of her outside the US.
Idle_Shit - April 9, 2004 07:17 PM (GMT)
Oh thats ok... I am living in Southampton though, I moved out of London, you can't get jack shit out here...maybe next time I go to london I will look about film stores for piccies, maybe they'll have some in some underground store in Camden.
S.J. - April 10, 2004 09:12 AM (GMT)
Clea is under contract at the Endeavor Talent Agency, maybe that would be a chance 2 get an autograph...
I hope that's the updated status...
Idle_Shit - April 10, 2004 01:00 PM (GMT)
Oooh thankies ya, any Idea on the address of Endeavor Talent Agency? Hmm maybe i'm just being lazy now, I could just look it up huh? :w00t:
S.J. - April 10, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
you are welcome... :)
just google it up,...you will strike an adress ! :D

Idle_Shit - April 17, 2004 01:15 PM (GMT)

This quote is just lovely. It made me chuckle to myself a lot!

I love that these old posts are coming back. I didn't ever see the agency address, I must have missed it somehow and now I can write to Clea and tell her that she's my dream girl....ok well I wouldn't do that cause then I would be a stalked but I could at least pretned that I Would.
Idle_Shit - May 6, 2004 09:31 PM (GMT)
Oooh I nearly got adventurous then and wrote in red, but i chickened out... I am going on a coach journey tomorrow i might conduct a letter to Clea on the journey and if it sucks arse I will throw it in the bin, but if it is a masterpiece full of quirky Brit humor I will send it
I made someone chuckle... *skips* :w00t: I rock!!!!

I ve been trying to figure this out myself also Idle. I wanna write her so bad but I dont wanna come off sounding stupid so I keep putting it off. Also, those of you who have written anyone, do you ever put a SASE in with it?? Someone (I think it may have been Bill Engvall but I am not sure) said in an interview that that helps you get an answer, but in this case, im not sure that would work, what if the pics she gives out (if she does) dont fit in a reg envelope?

I thought about doing that but if she was actually listed i didnt want to freak her out by sending mail to her directly. I m still trying to find the number for the studio that is putting See Jane Run out, would it be any good to maybe ask the studio that put her last pic out? If anyone thinks that might work I would be more than glad to call tomorrow.

exactly. I mean I know I could print any one of her pics but it wouldnt be the same (at least to me). If I had one that she signed it is just different. I d like to think she signs them herself. I wrote Ming Na Wen (is that spelled right?) years ago when she was still on As the World turns. I must have been 13 to 15 maybe? She wrote back but I have no clue how long. I got a signed picture, I think it actually had "to karen" on it too but I dont remember...(it s around here somewhere and its pretty little, but thats ok), and a letter saying what shed been up to, again with a personal note on it...she seemed very sweet and I was excited to get it. My friend also wrote Nancy Mckeon from the division and got a postcard with her pic on it autographed to my friend.

I m a dork! I just called. Talked to the receptionist and she said this is the right address, but the zip is 90212.....i could have copied it down wrong from the previous post though. Now we have to think what to say lol. They said they send it to her whenever they get it so hopefully she does respond, just no one has sent to the right address.

I have always thought it to be kinda sad to post in these net forum type things but now after seeing that so many people share my obsession i have been inspired. Like most of you i am also contemplating doing the crazy stalker fan type thing and writing a letter but the address on the forum is different to one of the ones i have. not sure which one is current so any help would be wicked. The NY address i have is
141 Fifth Avenue #300, New York, NY 10011
and to whoever it was who said you better get a reply coz of the cost of postage from britain i feel your pain man, i am in perth, western australia = arse loads of cash required.
Idle_Shit - May 30, 2004 10:25 PM (GMT)
OzMonkey welcome tot he obsessive fan thingy mergigy... I still haven't written a letter to her, I really cannot think of what to say, I haven't written a fan letter since i was about 13...
ozmonkey - May 31, 2004 04:04 AM (GMT)
i feel your pain. I've never done the fan letter thing, mostly coz i have no idea how to do it without sounding like a demented stalker. but as a reason to discontinue doing anything at all constructive, i shall try. watch for me on the news as the crazy person who tried to post themselves to clea.
Idle_Shit - June 3, 2004 10:13 PM (GMT)
lol, i would do that if it didn't cost me a whole years wages in stamps. :w00t: I still haven't written my letter to clea, I just can't imagine myself doing it.
ozmonkey - June 4, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
same. plus is suspect my gf would stab me. then all clea would receive would be random bloodied limbs. and no-one finds that appealing.
Riley - June 5, 2004 02:09 PM (GMT)
I've heard the SASE thing as well. I've also heard you get better results when you include a photo to be autographed.
I've only written to one celeb... Mario Lopez when Saved by the Bell was on. I got an autograph back... I was so excited. :D Wonder what happened to it.
Idle_Shit - June 9, 2004 10:51 PM (GMT)
All the british TV Soap stars are given cast pictures and envelopes for fans, they just sign them write the address on the top then the BBC or ITV or whatever stamp it and off it goes to the fan...I have 2 from eastenders.
