Title: It's Every Girl's Fantasy!
Description: Warning: May cause spontaneous orgasms..

GrahamEaton - March 2, 2004 04:55 AM (GMT)
I was flipping through a gossip magazine at work and the name Clea DuVall caught my eye..... So I was like, hmmm? And read the article.... and then fell out of my chair and began convulsing on the floor. I was like, oh my god.... And then I was dying to get home to tell you all..... like, counting down the minutes.

Now, bear in mind, this was a gossip magazine so it could be false. But.... like I pointed out to my girlfriend, if it was false, they could have picked a bigger name than Clea for the story so there's bound to be some truth in it..... So, without further ado....

QUOTE
Pink REALLY got the party started on Lesbian Night at a West Hollywood club--challenging all comers to a wrestling match! Incredibly, cutie Clea DuVall of HBO's "Carnivale" series waltzed up in a froufrou designer dress and told always-shocking Pink: "Let's get it on!" Marveled an eyewitness: "Pink and Clea stepped out of their Manolo Blahniks and started wrestling on the floor as everybody cheered.... It was surreal!" The bout didn't go pretty got Pink--she LOST!

OMG OMG OMG OMG. This is like, my wet dream come true!! Pay per view, anyone?? Can you just picture? A dark, smoky night club full of hot lesbians (yes, in my mind they're all hot). Pink is there, wearing, well, there really is no limit to what she might have been wearing. And she challenges them to a wrestling match and up steps little Clea, in a black, knee length designer cocktail dress, maybe a tulle skirt or something funky, and white or red pointey Manolos..... looking cute as hell. And they wrestle around on the ground, Clea and Pink, Pink and Clea, and Clea's dress is up around her waist, Pink's clothes are torn.... Holy God!!!!!!

And she was in a lesbian bar. See, she's so gay. Anyone who says she isn't is so delusional.

Well, I just had to share. I knew you all would love it!

GrahamEaton - March 2, 2004 05:18 AM (GMT)
My thoughts exactly.

You know, you watch all these dating shows or whatever when the guys do romantic things and the girls always say, "Oh, it was every girl's fantasy!" but we all know that's not true. So I thought I would just clear that lil myth up and let you know what every girl's fantasy just might be.... LOL.

Crys - March 2, 2004 07:16 AM (GMT)
My initial thoughts were, "Oh. My. GOD." That made me think of the song "Oh My God", which for whatever reason, makes me think of Clea. And then I go back to thinking about 'em wrestling again, and the whole process repeats itself. :w00t: Good times, good times!

"But Clea and I are friends and neither of us is into girls." - Natasha Lyonne

Yeah, um, I just don't see that as being completely true. Maybe Clea didn't want her to come out for her but I think Clea's part of that is completely false.

And here's why: Clea is at least bisexual. What? She hangs around at all the lesbian bars, lesbian clubs, lesbian festivals for... fun? And then there's the whole aspect of Radio.... what, they were such good chummy pals that Clea wore a necklace with her name on it cuz they're pals? And she (was) at every show, at her side when she was off-stage to um... support her friend? And she only brings girls to awards shows and events as her dates because... god, it must be because she's so ugly no guy wants to take her, right? So she plays the friend card with a gal pal or two? And a vast majority of her roles are lesbians because, I know, because she's NOT a lesbian and she really likes to stretch herself as an actress.

Uh-huh.

Riley - March 2, 2004 06:00 PM (GMT)
Well... I didn't want to start a battle here... I was simply pointing out a quote that I've read.

However, for you to point out that it is obvious she is gay is completely unfounded. We can all sit here and say it's obvious Rosie O'donnell is gay, Ellen, Elton, Boy George... ect... because they've made public statements saying it is true.

I think it's unfair to label someone if they haven't put the information out there to be labeled. It's unfair... she hasn't made a statement in either direction for a reason.

I've been to gay clubs with my friends before... does that mean I'm a lesbian? No, but some of my friends are, and it's unfair for me to expect them to go to the club of my choice everytime...and I had a good time anyway dammit!

I had a friend in highschool who was in a local band and used to attend every show, post flyers, help set up shit... does that mean I was sleeping with him? Nope... I was supporting my friend.

The quote I posted served two purposes... one to show that there have been statements made reguarding her sexuality (not made by her however), and number two... you can't believe everything you read.

Riley - March 2, 2004 06:22 PM (GMT)
Wait... futher more...

Ghosts of Mars - No reference was made to her being gay, only boss lady.
See Jane Run - Never seen (?)
Bear to the Right - Never seen (?)
Committed - No reference
Girl, Interrupted - No reference
But I'm a Cheerleader - Lesbian
Astronaut's Wife, The - Not gay
Sleeping Beauties - Lesbian
Wildflowers - Not gay

So... I have two movies where she's played a lesbian. I don't know about the whole always playing a lesbian thing. Both done by the same director... maybe that could be a reason why she was cast as a lesbian in 2 movies??

According to your theory... we can all assume she's been commited since 2 of the roles she's played were in fact, commited women.

Hmmmm..... <_<

Crystie - March 2, 2004 09:34 PM (GMT)
i think that quote about her and natasha not being gay was for clea's protection. she didnt want clea to be put out into the open about it. but after i read grahams article thingy i was like :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: i had heard that rumor in numerous places but wasn't sure if it was true...and hell yea pink lost!! even tho shes still cute. but ok if u look at the pics from venice where shes smiling and shes in that black dress you can see her muscles...clea is ripped  which makes her even that much hotter. and the lesbo/bisexual posts before...ok clea is at the very least bi...i think that because #1 she had a girlfriend and #2 she almost got married to that guy from josie and the pussycats so i'm thinkin shes at the least bi. but that is so hot...that fight...my jaw dropped when i read that. graham what magazine was it?

iloveclea - March 2, 2004 10:47 PM (GMT)
doesn't one of clea's tattoo's say "i love margie" who was some chic she was dating????

Crystie - March 2, 2004 10:49 PM (GMT)
yea...she was in the band patsy...i think its marcie tho...its on the cleaduvall.net site. some say another tattoo was on her inner wrist bearing the name radio. maybe the next one she'll get will say pink ;) haha

iloveclea - March 2, 2004 10:53 PM (GMT)
my bad. i knew it was some girl's name that started with an "m" and sounded a bit like that... (i saw it on the cleaduvall.net site too)

I definitely think so too. Because if I was in a film with my best friend who was gay but not out, I would not go around doing interviews and saying, "Well, it was weird for us because we're best friends but it was especially weird for me because I'm not into girls at all." Which automatically, correct or not, makes you assume that the best friend was. So I highly, highly doubt that she would say that.

Secondly, the whole movie role thing... You have to admit that she does more than her fair share of gay roles. I admit, it's not like, ever role she does but if she is straight, well, she does more gay roles than any other straight actress in recent memory. But.... take a look at her roles. In But I'm A Cheerleader, she was a lesbian. In Committed, she was a lesbian. In Sleeping Beauties, she was a lesbian. In Wildflowers, she definitely had some lesbian tendencies. In the Faculty, they all thought she was a lesbian. In Carnivale, she has a love story with another female going on. In Laramie Project, she deals completely with homosexuality. She's due to appear on the new lesbian drama, The L Word, in a special guest star role. She supports all of these lesbian film projects. She's been on or in like, every homosexual publication. I mean, NO ONE is that interested in the homosexual community without being at least a little into the same sex...

And the band things..... Yeah, but did you wear the dude's name on a necklace around your neck? Even best pals don't do that. And the fact that she is always there, joined at Radio's hip.... I dunno....

But, Riley, I accept the fact that you always have to argue and that you always, always have to be right. Like I told you earlier today, I could call up Clea, pick her up, take her to your house and have her say, "Riley, I am a big raging bull dyke." and, once the shock wore off and she left, you would argue with me that she was lying or that .... whatever.... ;)

It's not worth arguing about because it doesn't make a difference to me. She's still Clea, she's still hot, whether she's into girls or guys. It doesn't make that much of a difference because it's not like it's going to ruin my chance with her or something... LOL

GrahamEaton - March 5, 2004 02:29 AM (GMT)
God I don't even remember which one it was. That sounds like a line but honestly. We have bazoodles of magazines in our break room at work and I just found it in one and tore it out. I'm pretty sure that you can't still buy it cuz the mags in our break room are all at least like, two or three months old. LOL. They're everyone's cast-offs. LOL. Sorry.

Crystie - March 5, 2004 08:58 PM (GMT)
oh darn! oh well thats ok, im sure ill see clea in another magazine like allure or sumthin...shes been in there a few times.

Miss A. - March 6, 2004 05:10 AM (GMT)
One time I saw a picture of Clea in an Australian magazine, but it was this really tiny picture of the gang from The Faculty in the car. It was a superstar scrapbook thing, based around Josh Harnet. I still cut out the picture and kept it for awhile though.

I'm not sure what i think about the story though...it does sound pretty unbelievable...

Cleaduvallslover - March 12, 2004 10:33 PM (GMT)

In Niagra Niagra,
Clea is seen reading a girlie magazine and in Ghosts of Mars she is refered to as a "dyke" by Ice Cubes character.I don't think she was a lesbian in GOM though.

Kate - March 13, 2004 02:13 PM (GMT)
No, but she should have been. :/
