I have this best friend that I absolutely adore. We have been best friends since like, 10th grade and we lived together for awhile and I just absolutely adore her. She still lives in Michigan and I live in Virginia so we hardly see each other but we talk all the time. Anyway, tonight we had a long talk and we started talking about sex (she's straight). She says not only has she never masturbated, but she's also never had an orgasm and her boyfriend never attempts to get her to have one. I was completely horrified. So I was wondering if there were other women, straight or gay, who have never masturbated or never had an orgasm..... and I wonder if it makes a different, the whole masturbation issue, I guess, if you're gay or straight. LOL. Thoughts?

I don't think it's sexual orientation that has anything to do with masterbation.

I think it more how people are brought up... religion and shit like that.

Well I wasn't saying that there was a difference due to sexual orientation. I was just opening up the question to everyone on the board.

Religion may play a part but not here. Out of all of the girls I grew up with, I was the only one who was regularly attending church and shit and I have no problem with sex, masturabtion, the whole nine.... but I can name a handful of girls, I guess, who do. The girls I was friends with in high school. My college roommates were so completely disgusted by the idea..... So it can be anyone, i guess.

The non masturbation issue wasn't what got me though. It's that the girl is 21, in a 5 year strong relationship, has a two year old daughter and has never had an orgasm...... and her boyfriend never even tries to get her to have one.... that is so horrifying to me.

So many people say they don't masterbate... and I just don't buy it. It's bullshit, it's something that everyone does... at least once in their life if not for the rest of their life.

The only exception to the rule... people who are brought up to suppress thier sexual appetites.

I feel bad for your friend, I guess it's not important to her.
